EMILY Status: Sitting in her favorite ledge overlooking the city. Location: Gotham Rooftops Image: Will be replaced with actual stealth suit later. With no interruptions, it didn't take long for Emily to reach her destination. Once she had made it to the more populated area of the city, she climbed onto a fairly tall building that overlooked the skyline and streets below. There, she moved to a ledge where a stone gargoyle sat looming over the street. The ledge was just large enough for someone to sit down and lean against the gargoyle. And that's what Emily did. One fire escape ladder up, a hop off of another building, and a little tiptoe across the brick ledge above, and she could easily hop down to the larger ledge. With a heavy sigh, Emily sat down and leaned her back comfortably against the stone gargoyle. She gazed around the city, giving her suit a moment to adjust to the shade around her, then pressed the side of her helmet again. Her eyes caught a glimpse of police cruisers sitting outside of a building not too far away, and she let her eyes wander about to see if she could find anything note worthy. She still felt like beating something up after all. "Communication command. Rebecca Morre's home apartment." she said. A moment later, there was a dull ringing in her ears from a phone. And then an answering machine came on. Emily frowned, then waited for the voice mail to connect. "Hey, Becca. It's Emily. I just wanted to let you know I'm... taking the rest of the night off, so I won't be at work tonight. I'll try to see you soon though. Bye." With that she took her fingers off of her helmet. That disconnected her communication. "So... she's not home..." Emily muttered to herself.

When Edmond had finished his shopping he returned to his hotel room. After plugging in the projector he had bought he set a few new board of plywood up at targets. Then he connected his phone to the computer so that it could download the images. When the computer finished that job the images would be projected onto the wall. He would then be able to examine them in more detail but for the moment he had to wait. In the time he had to wait he would read.
The book was simple, childish even but it kept him occupied. He had a slight fear that emily would run tests on his jacket or compile information on him. Sure he covered his tracks but not as perfectly as he could. Normally he compensated for it by being in and out of a situation before he could be spotted but if she did gather intel connecting him to his real life would not be very hard. Even then she would have little to hold against him. The police had not account of him. Around certain parts of the city he would use green arrows so the police who find them would think it was merely Green Arrow who had come by to help out the missing Batman. In most cases The Count had little charges on all his arrows so when he left he could just detonate them. IT never caused massive damage to anything. Just a little shaking. If the arrows were tightly grouped that would be a different story. In order to distract him mind he began to look at the images as the finished downloading.

EMILY Status: Sitting on a rooftop staring at buildings. Location: Gotham Rooftops Image: Will be replaced with actual stealth suit later. It didn't take long until Emily had begun to move across the city again. She had made one more effort to contact Rebecca, and was relieved once she had thought to call her parent's house. The young woman had gone to take the children to the circus not long before she had called. She was alive... she wasn't hurt... none of the things she had mentally began panicking about when she knew Rebecca had left with Savage. Now she just needed to somehow bring it up the next time she seen Rebecca and let her know that she should stay away from him. She'd do it later though... let her have her time with the kids. So, Emily continued through the city, letting her mind wander over what all she still needed to do. An aparentment building caught her attention as she hopped along the rooftops, and she stopped. She stared at the name of the building for a long moment, then let her gaze travel over the windows of the rooms. That was the place the Count had wanted to meet. She could go down and scope it out before she actually visited the place. He was expecting her later tonight, not right now after all. Nothing major. Just... check the place out before she walked over in nothing but her civi-suit. And it would be practice for when she went over to the Lounge to.... Meh. Maybe not. If the guy WAS trustworthy... she didn't want to make him feel like she was going to be looming around or anything. Still... SHE would feel better knowing her environment before she walked into the unknown. Hrm.

When the last image had uploaded Edmond began inspecting them. He found nothing in all of the images. Now he was faced with an option. Trust in the man accused of murder or don't. He chose to trust the man and made the call. "Hello James, tell them I will take the case. Arrange to have our client brought to the office I will meet him there shortly."
Edmond hung up the phone and grabbed a tennis ball. He began throwing it at the wall and catching it when it bounced back. It was practice for a trick he had yet to pull off but really needed to learn. It was practice to help him catch an arrow. One or two times he had faced another archer and when he did dodging the arrows had proven distracting. When he master catching one his job would become easier. Then he put on a clean suit and set up the 'Home Alone' protocol. Contrary to what the name might suggest it was made for when his room or house was empty. His phone would be alerted of anyone within the area who was of note or possibly threatening. Edmond checked again to be sure the door was locked then walked out of the apartment building heading towards his office.

EMILY Status: Sitting on a rooftop staring at buildings. Location: Gotham Rooftops Image: Will be replaced with actual stealth suit later. Knowing that Rebecca was safe for now, and with a few minutes to kill until her other contacts were available, Emily decided to scope out the apartment building a little early. She had moved from the building she had been sitting on to one that was right across the street from the apartment building. There, she tried to keep herself hidden from view from anyone below, and tapped the side of her helmet again. "Disc. I need you to access the visuals in my helmet, then give me the location of the room indicated in my recent private e-mail." Emily said.
A moment or two later, the lense of her helmet flickered, and a green screen engulfed her vision. A large circle moved around the screen, then focused on a set of four windows. "It should be one of those four rooms." the computer voice replied.
"Thanks Disc, that's all I needed." Emily replied. "I just wanted to get an idea of where I'd be later tonight."
"I have found sightings of the "Count" you requested." Disk added.
"Oh? Good. File it away and-" Emily began.
"Unfortunately, I am having difficulty keeping the information. The found and copied files have been deleted. As are any attempts to retrieve the information again."
There was a long pause as Emily stared at the apartment complex. "You are unable to retrieve any information?"
"Correct."
"But there IS information."
"Correct."
Emily's gaze narrowed in on the windows that had been indicated. "....and you can't keep any information you find. Interesting..."

Upon arriving at his office the Edmond sat in his chair connecting his phone to the computer. He did not know why but in the back of his mind he had a feeling that his apartment room was under watch. Then again being a vigilante, that was very likely. He had once found a web-page dedicated to him. It cast him as an urban legend, he liked it, but erased it none the less. It was to much for someone to build on and find him. At that thought his client came in accompanied by two police officers. He was in a yellow jumpsuit and when he sat down he was handcuffed to the chair. "Hello." Edmond said bluntly. this meeting would be a short one.
"Um... Hello, look about the murder I swear it-"
"Whoa, not so fast, first we talk. Tell me your relationship with the victim and why you were at the scene of the crime holding a gun." Edmond ordered
"Well I was in his college study group and on my way there because he called me. When I arrived I found him dead on the floor. I heard something at the door and thought it was the killer so I grabbed the gun and hid."
"But it was not a killer was it, it was the police. Then just like that they arrest you and I get a phone call telling me that you specifically want my help. We have never met before and I choose my own assignments but somehow someone puts you on my table. Makes it so I work your case. Fun story." Edmond sat back in his chair with his mind racing on thoughts but one stood out most of all. Later tonight the Count was going to break into a prison and ask a few questions.
"Look a guy visited me in prison and told me you were a good lawyer I just need-"
"I know what you need. I will do a little investigating of my own using my firm's resources and get back to you. For now that is all I can do goodbye."
Looking awfully confused as to what had just happened the police unchained the client and they all left. Edmond remained behind thinking.

EMILY Status: Planting bugs on rooftops nearby Count's apartment. Location: Gotham Rooftops Image: Will be replaced with actual stealth suit later. "Disc..." Emily spoke again. "Set five of my belt bugs to my disposable video phone. If you're having trouble getting any information on the Count, then I don't want you to have any more connection to him. I'll watch the pace on my own time."
"As you wish, Miss Emily." Disc replied
Emily waited a few minutes for Disc to complete it's task, then moved to find a good spot on the roof top to plant one of her bugs. Her level of trust had just dropped again. It was nothing personal... she was just extra careful when it came to her equipment. There was no NSHU that could replace her equipment if it was broken. Chance wasn't here to fix Disc if it became corrupted. And Emily wasn't tech savy enough to do more than bandage Disc up. If her computer broke... it was pretty much broke.
She wasn't sure WHY the files Disc found were being deleted... but she didn't like it. Not with her computer any way.
Finding a good spot, Emily plucked one of the black squares off of her belt and attached it to the corner of the rooftop. Aiming the camera portion of it towards the apartment complex. Then she moved across the rooftop and looked for four more places to plant her bugs.

Dantes sat in his office for a while thinking about what might have happened that would lead someone to set him up with a client. Then his phone buzzed. He looked at it and smiled before setting it down. The virus had destroyed the files as he wanted it to but then the search had just stopped. He had the feeling that whatever was searching him had just found out about the virus. He stood up taking his phone with him and held it as if he was on a call so others in the office would not get curious. "Well done computer. Leave the virus on the files but alter the programming. I want it to be less detectable for future use. Also, pull back control of the security cameras around my apartment. Email the feed to Emily's private account. I want her to have some way to monitor it." Edmond said before putting his phone on the desk and sitting down. He didn't have another meeting he was now just filling out paperwork.

EMILY Status: Planting bugs on rooftops nearby Count's apartment. Location: Gotham Rooftops Image: Will be replaced with actual stealth suit later. It didn't take Emily long to move across the rooftops. Three more vantage points, and she had three more bugs placed. There were no other decent rooftop locations that she could place a bug, so she took the chance to see if her bugs were working or not.
Backing into the shadow of the rooftop she was currently on, she dipped her fingers into the belt pouch on her side. She pulled out a small phone with a large screen, and turned it on. She pressed a few of the numbers on the phone, and waited to see if anything came up. The screen split into six smaller screens. Four of which displayed different views of the apartment complex windows.
Alright... those worked. Now she just needed to place the fifth bug closer and she could...
There was a small chiming in her ear that jerked her focus away from her bugs. She had just received a message from her private account. Emily blinked once, then turned her phone off and slid it back into her belt pouch. She then placed her fingers back onto the side of her helmet. "Open Email." she said. After waiting a moment, the screen returned to the lens of her helmet.

Edmond flipped from page to page filling out the paperwork and when it was done he sat back in his chair looking at the live feed from the security cameras around the apartment. His work was done and he made the choice to return to the apartment. He locked up his office and moved down the stairs out of the building. Then he returned directly to the apartment acting as if nothing was wrong. When he got there he entered the room directly next to the meeting place because it was the one he had rented. When he got inside he checked the closet to be sure all his 'stuff' was still there before laying on the bed. He closed his eyes and began to think.
Emily Dew had been in a fight with an unknown man, he threw her into a mirror and she moved to the hospital, after fixing her back she took your jacket with her. The one jacket without a tracking device. Your on shaking ground Dantes be careful. Then again what was a secret identity. Even if she did know who he was no one would believe he was a vigilante and she certainly could not have the evidence to prove it. However that was not what bother him. She was not the concern on his mind. What was on his mind was the odd circumstances surrounding the case he was working on at the Firm. IT was as if someone had made it and put it directly in front of him. He did not like being in the dark.

innocent little Rosie EMILY Status: Planting bugs on rooftops nearby Count's apartment. Location: Gotham Rooftops Image: Will be replaced with actual stealth suit later. Emily now sat on the ledge of the building staring down at the apartment building, twirling the small square bug in her fingers. She... wasn't quite sure what to do now. She'd opened her Email and found security feed to some of the cameras around the apartment complex. From the Count none the less. The one she had been planting bugs to keep an eye on. So... now what? Did she take this as a token of trust, or an attempt to lower her guard? Damn she had trust issues. Who could blame her though? Close friends switched sides, a confidant gave her away... effectively killing another friend and herself as a result. Or... at least she should have been killed. Severed hands, broken spine, and a name plaque through the eye certainly should have killed her. But she woke up in this world. Where she had no organization to help her, and no clue as to who she could trust, and who she couldn't.
After a few more moments pondering her next move, Emily decided to slip down onto street level. With her chameleon suit, she shouldn't be noticed unless someone was looking specifically for something unusual. She could plant her last bug, get a closer look at the building, then decide from there.

Edmond began searching through recent crimes he had interfered with, including the rare few he failed to stop or simply chose not to. There had been many cases of petty theft, an assault or three, and a bank robbery. He began looking for a connection. The robbery had been well planned out but nothing seemed to odd. It had been at the Sturgess Bank branch in Gotham City. Very small very uncared for. From what he had heard the overseas banks did much better. He had caught three of the four men. Then there were the assaults. Two of them were standard and easy to stop but on the third the assailant got away. In the case of petty theft he had caught all the men but they were killed during prison transportation. Someone had been deliberately stopping an investigation. "Computer project the images containing all angles of the bullet hole and all the windows. Analyze and recreate the bullet entering and exiting the body."
Edmond was now curious. Who had been the man that escaped, who had put this case in front of him. Who was screwing with him and why. This was what he wanted to know. As he awaited the computer he walked over to the window and shut the blinds. "Computer when you are done begin a search on these people. Cobblepot, Black Mask, and The Joker. See if anything can tie these men to the crimes I have stopped. If nothing does I will be force to wait for more evidence to surface. I don't like waiting. You know that." Edmond said as if the computer had a responsive personality. None the less it continued to work.

EMILY Status: Planting bugs on rooftops nearby Count's apartment. Location: Gotham Rooftops Image: Will be replaced with actual stealth suit later. With no interruptions, no distractions, and nothing to warrant Emily's attention, the spy gave the building one last look over, then began to make her way back up to the rooftops. She had the security cameras that had been Emailed to her, as well as her own bugs. She should have plenty of surveillance. It would be a few more hours before it was dark out, so she had plenty of time to pay the Lounge another visit, as well as her other contacts. She just needed to decide which one she felt like visiting first.
If she went to see her contacts, she could get information from them easily. If she went down to the Lounge, she could do a little investigating of her own, and see about tracking down Vandal. She could get information from her contacts easily, but she risked loosing Vandal if he left. If she went down to the Lounge, she might get caught up in her work and miss her meeting with the Count. Then again... she was the one helping him. Or she was supposed to be anyway. If she did get caught up with things at the Lounge, surely he would understand her being late to focus on the guy who put glass in her back.

When the computer finished recreating the murder it projected the animation into the wall and Edmond watched. From where the bullet entered and exited the police's account had been wrong. The bullet traveled diagonally down through the body and the man accused was far shorter then the victim. Sure it could have been traveling upwards diagonally but he would have needed a very, very close angle for that and there were no burns from the muzzle fire on the body according to the autopsy report. Something the Count also peeked at. The shot would have required a much farther angle likely a sniper rifle shot. "Computer show search results." Edmond said as the projected evaluation of recent criminal activity popped up. Nothing that tied the Black Mask, Cobblepot, or Joker to the crime was evident and now thinking it was a sniper rifle that dealt the killing blow he had a new theory. "Run a background search on all well known marksmen in Gotham currently. I don't care if they are a nobody who grew up in a hick town I want to know if they are here." Edmond began pacing back and forth. This was too stressful for him. He couldn't go out and get answers as the Count because the sun was still up. He could put on a disguise again but that did not work when he planned to interrogate someone. All that and he still needed to prepare for the meeting with Emily. He had not done a sweep of the building yet. He needed to get access to all cameras, not a problem, clear out the rooms around the meeting place, and sabotage any recording device he found. He did not want her to get in trouble because she tired to help him. He needed to be absolutely sure that this location was secure. Had his last base not been destroyed this problem would not exist. To use his free time as the computer searched he began watching a movie called The Prestige. He had seen it before and liked it. Plus since he had seen it before he did not have to pay 100% attention to it.

EMILY Status: Getting ready to do some personal work. Location: Gotham Rooftops Image: Will be replaced with actual stealth suit later. ...............Emily soon decided that it would be better for her to go and check up on the Lounge first. She could get ahold of her contacts at any time. If she wanted to try and get any information from the Lounge, she had a much smaller window of time. Especially if Penguin went back to his room, and especially if Vandal left before she got to the Lounge. So, Emily put her fingers to the side of her helmet one more time, double checked to make sure her line of communication was open. Then she turned and began making her way over the rooftops and along the walls of towering buildings towards the more populated area of town. Towards the Iceberg Lounge.
