I am being driven not-so-slowly insane. I've been hearing this high-pitched ringing noise off and on for the past three days. At first, I thought it was somebody operating some sort of machinery a long ways off because it is just loud enough for me to hear. Then I started hearing it at 3 AM, and I don't think anybody is running leafblowers or backhos in pitch black. I finally seem to have pinpointed the cause. Somewhat. All I know is that it starts every time the furnace comes on and stops when it goes off. It seems to be strongest by the register in the computer room, which is the register closest to the generator in the backyard.

God, I hope they can fix it. I have so much s**t I have to get done for finals and this has been keeping me awake, breaking my concentration, and giving me migraines. But I have a feeling I'm about the only one in the world (besides a dog) who can hear it. It is very high-pitched and not particularly loud. The high registers are the first to go when you start to lose your hearing - my mom can't hear it at all. And somebody my age or younger? It seems at least half have shot their hearing by blasting their headphones too loudly. There really is no advantage to this superhero hearing of mine. I hear every godamned little thing and most people think it's all in my head. Maybe $300 for Bose noise-reducing headphones isn't too pricey, after all. s**t like this just keeps happening. >_<

In happier news, I found and ordered the coolest plushie EVER. Come save me from this horrible noise, Erik! I'm not sure how... but you're the genius, I'm sure you'll figure something out.

I think 90% of my posts have been about PotO, lately. I'm sorry. I have a horrible horrible obsession. I need help. It goes into remission from time to time. Sometimes for a year or so, but... damned thing always comes back. I only have two more weeks before I can finally sit down and reread Leroux and Kay. It's horribly ironic when your love for certain pieces of literature get in the way of English classes and vice versa. <.<

How I hate freshman. Seriously, you had every possible chance to not ******** this up. EVERY CHANCE. You couldn't even be bothered to do a full five pages! Seriously! After all that class time. I swear, if one of you complains I will go apeshit. APESHIT!

I'm an instructor, not a god damn babysitter.

Oh, still alive.

Urgh... they didn't fix it, They were supposed to come between 2 and 3. I normally get out of class at 2, and I got out even earlier today because only one person signed up to be workshopped, but no... The one godamned time a repairman comes early. They came as soon as I left for class and must have left just before I got out. And my mom won't ask them to come again tomorrow because "they'll think I'm nuts." Well, I'm going to be if this godamned ringing doesn't stop! I'd rather just turn off the godamned heat and freeze than have to listen to this for a moment longer, but I can't do that either. !)*^#!)&^@!(%@$(

Pyre: I understand you to be obsessed with the PotO. The whole plot is fascinating and I still have vivid memories when I say the Broadway act when I was 16 years-old. OOOO That's almost 20 years ago already??? gonk

Hahaha! You're Canadian and saw it on Broadway. I'm American and saw it in Toronto. xd I think I was 13... I'd really like to see it again. I wish I had gone when the touring production hit Cleveland, but I talked myself out of it. And then I found out that, after 18 years, they've retired the last national tour. Just when we get a totally awesome theater complex in my hometown, too. I want Phantom, not bloody Cats. So now there is just Las Vegas and New York left in North America.

lol That's an odd coincidence xd
I'd like to see it again eventually. It is still at the Majestic, where I saw it so many years ago. I also saw Wicked on Broadway and it was fun too. smile

Urby: This and the stickied Avy chat thread are pretty much the only living threads. wink

I wish they'd reopen it at the Pantages in Toronto. I mean, the actors are going to be talented no matter where you see it. But they actually built that stage with Phantom in mind. I think there are something like 121 trapdoors for all the candles to come out of and for characters to disappear into. I was a good 28 rows back and when the pyro went off during "Bravo Monsieur," I swear it singed my eyebrows.

I don't think it's very likely as long as it is still running on Broadway, though, since Toronto and New York aren't that far apart. And if Phantom ever went off Broadway, I'd be kinda worried. I don't think I'd want to see it in Las Vegas. For some inconceivable reason, they cut parts from the play. Which might not be so bad, but... "Point of No Return"? How in the hell do you get off shortening the climax of the godamned show?

I still say we should just merge the damned things, already. I think as much chatting goes on here as bitching. <.<

I hate having a scab (or whatever this is) inside my nose. It drives me crazy and there's nothing I can do about it without essentially picking my nose.
