EMILY Status: Checking out various files and locations Location: Closed down apartment complex. Emily sat there for a few moments, gently moving back and forth in the rolling chair. A few moments later the icon on her tablet lit up, and she went about checking her e-mail again. She smiled, then chuckled to herself as she began typing a message back to him. She didn't have a fluffy pink hat, but she sadly did have pink hats back at home. As she typed, the larger computer across from her made a noise. The usual little chirp to inform her that it was able to handle another job if Emily needed it to do more work. So she rolled over to her computer, quickly typed in a code, then turned back towards her tablet. The computer made another sound, and the middle screen came to life. Words in the top left of the screen appeared, indicating that it was downloading information from a secondary source. Another screen popped up, filling with numbers and codes. And finally several smaller screens came to life. Most of which were survailance from several bugs she had hidden about the utterly private floor of the Lounge... a few hidden around the loading dock of the lounge... and three small bars that were mainly sound recordings. One of which... was for the earpiece that Emily had conveniently "forgotten" in Natalia's room. It wouldn't be able to pick up much since it was designed for her to listen in on another bug... but Disc was programed to bring up every bit of technology she had planted in the Iceberg Lounge location. Since her ear piece was there... it should be able to pick up some voices. Hazy, echoy voices at best... but hey. She was interested in anything she could get on this 'Savage'. That included his current conversation, and whatever information he had wanted from Cobblepot. She should have taken a look at his files that she'd left in the other room on her way out. She could kick herself for not thinking of that one. He wouldn't have been able to... well... yeah. He would. Her hands were bloody at that point. Ugh. One thing at a time. Send the e-mail. Title: Big pink fluffy tin foil hat then. From: P1nl2_SpI3 Message: Fair amount of passer-by... casual dress code then. Alright. I'll see you later tonight sometime. Over and out.
- PS ============================================ "Aww..." the boy whined. "Hey, it's still faster than the bus, right?" Rebecca asked, glancing back at him with a smile. "I guess..." he replied. "Do you think we'll get to see the animals? Or eat Elephant ears, or cotton candy? Do you think they'll have fortune tellers and magic stuff?" Stacey asked, not caring how fast the car could go at this point.

"Eat Elephant ears?" Julianne echoed, almost more to herself than anyone else, "What in the world..."

”Yeah!” Stacey replied excitedly. ”They're these … these bread thingys that are all soft and curly, and you have to pull them apart. And they have white sugary stuff covering them!”
”Powdered Sugar.” Rebecca corrected.
”Yeah, that! And they're warm, and soft, and it tastes like doughnuts, and its on a big plate, and it's really good!” Stacey continued. ”Daddy used to get us them when there was a carnival or anything around our old home!”

Julianne laughed out loud for a moment, then said, "I always just called those funnel cakes. Well, at least I know what you're talking about. And those DO sound pretty good right now." After a very brief pause, so that she could focus on turning the car without sideswiping anyone, she asked, "How about you, little man? Funnel cake sound good to you, too?"

The boy thought for a moment, then smiled. ”Yeah, those caramel apples too. They're gooey.”
”We won't be making Julie's car look like your old car though, will we?” Rebecca asked, looking back at him.
”No. Momma said that was the last time I was ever bringing one in the car with us again.” the boy replied with a small frown. Then he thought a moment, then smiled again. ”So... that means we'll have to stay there longer so I can finish the apple, right?”

Edmond checked his email and read the last one. He did not reply. Now he would wait. The Count set up three large plywood boards and took out a few tennis balls. All at once he bounced them onto the ground and immediately began shooting arrows. After firing seven arrows all the tennis balls had been pinned to the wall. His archery skills were still as good as they had been before. So he sat back at his workbench and began designing new arrows once again. This time he was changing normal tips. The intent was so that when it hit it would release another smaller arrow from the tip to finish penetrating whatever armor had been there. It was complicated, but he had time.
Dantes worked for a bit and when he had the prototype he set up the three boards again now slightly separated from each other. He notched the prototype and fired. It hit the first board and stopped, there was a slight spark, then nothing. He realized a spring may be needed so this time he used a hollowed out arrow shaft and put another arrow inside. The second arrow would serve perfectly as the tip for the overall body. He readied, then fired it. His creation penetrated the first board and the spring pushed the inner arrow farther sending it though the second board. The hollowed out shaft remained in the first plywood obstacle though.

EMILY Status: Getting ready to check out the bugs she had left at the Lounge Location: Closed down apartment complex. Emily waited a few moments to see if there would be any further replies. When she received none, she shut off her tablet and set it down on the nearby desk. At least the day was starting to take a slightly better turn. Just slightly though... it was a rather... bad morning. And so far, Disc still wasn't able to pick up much on Vandal Savage. Emily frowned, then turned her attention towards the bugs she had hooked up in the Lounge. She'd have to do more digging on her own time then. She'd probably have better luck simply asking Cobblepot about him. She did that occasionally with the customers that were new to her.

Edmond pulled the arrows out of the plywood boards and set them aside as he began to replicate more of them. He had no base that was not compromised. Honestly every thing he had was hidden around his office and law firm. It had been the only place no one ever searched for weapons. Everything he had was merely a fraction of what was hidden. Granted hiding suits was not easy so blending them with ordinary outfits simplified things.
After having created about thirty of the new arrows he put some in his quiver and some in his suitcase. The Dark Archer walked outside of the hotel having locked the door and began jogging up and down the street. He did not want to get out of shape it would be horrible for someone in his line of work and suits were expensive, outgrowing one of then would be an issue. When he grew tired of jogging he began climbing up and down the wall through his parkour skill. IT was much more fun then most would think. the count was not a patient man. He could not simply wait. He had to remain distracted and a workout was how he did that.

"That depends on what time you decide to get it," Julianne said, her voice light, but somehow also carrying a hint of reason, "I'm not going to let you spoil your appetite for dinner. Sweets are all well and good, but you need real food if you want to get big and strong like Superman." She started looking around, and asked the children, "Now, which way to the carnival?" She knew where it was, but she wanted to mess with them.

Both of the children's eyes widened when Julianne asked them. "You... you don't know?" the boy asked. Stacey quickly turned towards Rebecca. "You know, don't you?" she asked. Rebecca grinned, then pressed a finger to her bottom lip. "You know... I don't think I ever found out."The children's eyes widened, then they looked at each other. "Um.... drive around until we find it?" Stacey replied. ====================================================================== EMILY Status: Upset, getting ready to leave for some undercover work. Location: Closed down apartment complex. Unfortunately for the Count, Emily was a VERY patient woman. Especially when she had a thing or two that could occupy her time. Letting her medical wraps seep into her wounds was one... waiting for Disc to go through it's tasks was another... and uploading all of her "bug gear" was another. While a few other files were brought up on Vandal, Emily busied herself with going through the video feed and sound recordings. She had opened up the voice window for the earpiece she had left in Natalias room. It was fuzzy, and hard to make out when they spoke softly, but it seemed as though Vandal was still in the room with her. They were talking about... Natalia it sounded like. Disc should be recording what was being said now that she had the feed connected. She would review it all later once Disc was done with it's other tasks. Get the sound quality improved so she could actually understand more than just a few words. She turned her attention instead to her video feed. Virtually nothing was happening in Cobblepot's office, and it looked as though he were getting ready for another meeting with someone. Good... she could take a few minutes to go through a few hours worth of recorded video. Clacking a few keys on her keyboard, Emily set the video feed back until the point where Vandal had first walked into the office this morning. Then she let the feed play normally and turned the volume up. The Penguin had a few different windows up on his large computer. Usually she could see the full screen fine, but he had so much up that she could only see part of it with where people were seated in front of the screen. What she DID manage to catch was a TV news report of some incidence at a Gotham Hospital. That was fine... she could contact her "employers" and they could fill her in on whatever had caught the news attention. There was also a flyer up... looked like a circus flyer. Another thing that would be simple to find out on her own. And then there were images of an.... ultra sound? Emily blinked, then took a closer look. Yep... they were. And Vandal didn't look very happy about it either. This had gotten interesting. Vandal began talking again, and she caught something about someone named Wilson Fisk. Another thing to put on her to-do list. Emily continued to watch, then frowned a bit as Vandal turned his attention towards Natalia, and the two soon walked out of the room together. Emily stopped watching. She knew what happened afterwards. The two went to the private room, and Emily was soon asked to take the files to Vandal... and she was dragged into that... lovely mess. Emily sighed, then clacked her finger on the keyboard to rewind the feed back further. Up until the point where she had already watched, or until something caught her attention. She would be reviewing all of this again later. Right now she needed to type in all of the bits that had caught her attention, and put them into her "To-Do" list. She kept her eyes on the video feed as she typed, and waited for something else to happen. Soon, something did catch her eye. Penguin had gone for information twice last night. She stopped the feed and played the video so she could see who all he was bringing up on his computer, and printing off. Since it was just him in the room, she had full view of the screen. And what she seen had her full attention almost instantly. Misty Gallay, and Richard Blackstone. Those were two of the people Penguin had pulled up information on. Newspaper clippings, records, everything. She had not seen either of these two in this world yet, but she KNEW these two. Personally. Emily leaned in close to the screen to watch the video carefully. She had no idea who this "Batman" was that Penguin also tried to look up, but there was virtually nothing on him. Didn't matter, she was more interested in why he was looking up Gallay and Blackstone. She watched the feed, then quickly switched to her other hidden bugs when Penguin exited his office. She set the other bugged feed back to that same time for the previous night, then watched to see where he would pop up again. Praying that he didn't walk into one of her dead zones. There was only so much she could do to discreetly hide her bugs within the rest of the Lounge. The place was wiped clean every night, and there were only certain places that she could hide the bugs without them being found. So... there were only certain parts of the Lounge she had eyes on. Luckily for Emily, Penguin moved just into view of one of the VIP areas. Oswald sat down at a table with his stack of printed file folders, and handed them to someone off screen. Emily narrowed her gaze to that spot, and waited to see if the other person would move into view. She needed to know who was gathering information on those to. Finally, the man moved to leave the Lounge. It was Vandal. Emily scowled at the screen as he tucked the folders under his arm an moved to leave. Her scowl deepened when Rebecca walked past him, smiled, and left the area. Emily checked the time again, and realized that was about the time Rebecca got off her night shift. Emily's gaze followed Vandal as he moved through the various cameras to get to the door. Rebecca soon appeared at the doorway in her casual dress, took his arm, and walked out the door with him. Emily growled out something nasty in French and kicked the desk next to her hard enough to dent the thin metal that covered the side of it. "Something wrong, Miss Emily?" Disc asked. Emily sighed very deeply, then stood from her chair. Trying to calm herself. "Yes... Unlock my Chameleon Pink Suit." Emily replied. "I'm going out. I want everything you can find on Vandal Savage. Everything." Emily said, then started for the door. "I need to go out for a while. Please bring up anything you can on Misty Gallay and Richard Blackstone as well. Only events, residence, contact information... that sort of thing. I already know their history and such. I just want their lives as of now.""Yes, Miss Emily." Disc replied. With that, Emily left the room. As soon as she checked in on a few things, and got some fresh air to clear her head.... she was paying the Lounge another visit.

Once Edmond had finished his workout he went back into his hotel room. He sat at the desk and began searching various things on his computer. Nothing really important he was just shopping until his phone rang. He answered after the third ring and listened. One of the interns at the law firm had heard of a recent police arrest. Dantes was being hired to defend the man accused of triple homicide. IT was not a light matter. If he was guilty Dantes would be saving a murder and if he was innocent but Dantes refused the case he would be condemning a normal man. "Let me look into it."
Edmond hung and and began hacking into the Gotham PD database. Once in he pulled up pictures of the crime scene, witness reports, and police reports of the scene. everything contradicted itself though. It was to tricky for him just to make an assumption. He would need to visit the crime scene even though he could not go out as the Count. He would be spotted to easily. Edmond moved over to his closet and opened it pulling out a chest with various wings and fake beards. He grabbed a fake beard of white hair and a bald cap. After putting both on he dawned a pair of sunglasses and a fedora. edmond changed from his pajamas to a button up, short sleeved shirt and some jeans. This disguise aged his about ten years.
Once he was disguised he left the hotel room heading towards the center of Gotham city. The scene was still surrounded by police so sneaking in would not be easy, but he would be able to do it.

EMILY Status: Roof jumping across the Gotham skyline. Location: Outside Image: Will be replaced with actual stealth suit later. It didn't take long for Emily to get herself suited up. With the vest on, bracing the medical wraps on her back, she was already wearing part of the padding she needed. After slipping into the rest of her padded under suit, she moved to the the secured room to the corner of the hall and went inside. She didn't come back out. It was only a matter of slipping into the outer layer of her suit, securing her back pack, clasp her wrist cuffs, slip her hair into her helmet, then slip out the window onto the side of the building next door. In the sun light, the full body suit she wore was a light pink color. When she was in the shade, the lack of light made the suit a deeper red color. And when she was in the dark, the suit was black. Nearly invisible. Granted... this suit worked much better at night, but it had a mirror feature that would allow her to become virtually invisible during the day as well. Once she was on the rooftop of the next building, she pressed her fingers to the side of her helmet. "System command. Activate Out to Lunch security." A moment later the window she had exited from released a loud click as it was locked. Once she was sure her building would be fine, she checked her backpack and wrist cuffs. They were both fully stocked... she should be fine. With a small huff, she began running across the rooftop to head towards the more populated area of Gotham. If she found anything to beat the crap out of, she planned on making that pit stop just to give herself a bit of anger management before she attempted to go back to the Lounge. She didn't want to be upset when she met with the Count either.

Edmond eventually reached the crime scene and he did a few laps walking around it. There was no way in directly that could not be seen by police. If he moved above and jumped down onto the building police would be able to hear him. He had very few options now. No bow or arrows to create a distraction. No knife for protection. Just him and his natural fighting ability. He sat waiting as the police took their shifts. Between the shifts he snuck in giving his about a two minute period to investigate. Knowing that it would not be enough, he planted a bug under a flower pot and pulled out his phone to take as many pictures as possible. He took pictures of the walls, corners, floor, windows, rooms. Pictures of everything. Then he heard the door open. "Hey your not supposed to be in here!" Crap. The officer had gotten here sooner then he expected. Dantes turned to see the officer had drawn his gun. "Hey man I was helping Johnson take pictures of the crime scene." Edmond lied. "Johnson wasn't assigned to this case. Put your hands up you are under arrest." The officer said. Edmond did as instructed slowly walking towards the officer who put his gun away to take out handcuffs. Then Edmond struck. It was a quick thrust to the man's throat causing him to double over on the ground. Edmond took off running.
He slid his phone into his pocket and climbed up the side of a building. Once on top he continued to run. He hopped from one roof to another until he found a ledge high enough to hide from the police. One car drove out in search of him. He had gotten way.

EMILY Status: Roof jumping across the Gotham skyline. Location: Outside Image: Will be replaced with actual stealth suit later. Emily continued across the rooftops, grumbling to herself the entire way. Now that she knew that the man who was blackmailing her, tossed her into a mirror, and... and... UGH. He was also looking into one of her close friends, had taken one of her newer friends with him last night, was looking into Blackstone, had something up about an ultra sound, she was kicking herself for not looking at his files on the way over to give them to him. As she ran and jumped across the rooftops, she continued to grumble to herself. Not enough that she'd be too distracted to fall off of a building. THAT she wasn't in the mood for. That would just make her whole day perfect. Though she was distracted enough to not notice any one else on the rooftops with her, or anyone that might see her. She didn't really care at this point. She was in a full body suit, her back was supported, no one was going to make a connection.

Edmond walked over to the edge of the roof and looked over to the alley bellow. There were a few homeless huddled around a trash can fire. It made the ideal location for him to burn his disguise. As he was about to drop down something caught his attention. It had been in the corner of his eye when he saw it and upon looking again he saw exactly what he was looking for. It was someone in a very elaborate suit. He thought it was cool, and also not his problem. No crime seemed committed so he would not investigate the thing.
Then he dropped into the alley. Edmond took off his hat and tossed it to one of the homeless followed by giving his sunglasses to another. Then he pulled off the bald cap and tossed it into the fire which did not burn alone because the beard came next. His hair draped over his face until he pushed it back. Edmond left the alley and started walking down the street towards a hardware store. IT was amazing what you could find in those places. He was hoping for another great discovery.
