"It is not mine. Mine is much, much better," Malodore protested, but it allowed itself to be swung about to face her, ending up nearly nose to nose. "Ah... what sort of an experiment would you like?" The feel of her breath on its face was very strange indeed, as was the reflection of its breath from her own skin... all moist and warm and how did the living cope with this horror.
"As you wish?"

EXITING MAUL
Mot yelped. He was running out of time! He grabbed a book found in a "Employee's Choice" section. It was titled Men are from mars, and Women are from Venus. What? What were those places? But if this was the origin of humans, then it would be a good read!
Mot quickly bought that and ran to get his purchase approved. After that, the pin came off.
Ah, sweet, glorious Halloween! Mot sighed with relief, patting down his clothes just to make sure he was in his own body. His own.. lanky.. weak.. twiggy body. A sad sigh. He hugged his book and sat down, taking the survey solemnly.

Other than Fear, why are Humans important to us? I'm not sure.
In the field trip, what have you noticed about Humans that is different from what you expected? They're kind of scary, honestly. They're erratic behavior is unsettling.

Why do you think it is important to save a Human who is hurt? I'm not sure.

Malodore looked absolutely horrified. Riley knew she should be more upset about that, and less amused than she was. It changed nothing, and her smug little smile remained. "You're right." She murmured calmly as she stepped forward, and took his chin up in one hand. "Yours is much, much better. But I like you in any form."
Her nose pressed forward, brushing against his. "I'm confident that this act, one we have always been denied, cannot hold a candle to the real thing." The real thing was, of course, the method of kissing she was used to. This flesh to flesh contact wasn't exactly a mindflayer's idea of affection, either. "But everything is worth trying once."
She found herself well adept to kissing, but she did not believe that was because of any skill. Perhaps her human disguise had just been given a good set of lips. They crushed against Malodore's, and then molded quite easily into the proper position for kissing. She'd seen it a million times. She understood how it worked. But she would not, under any circumstances, get curious enough to do that disgusting thing with the tongues that she knew humanoids did.
That was just going too far.
Her lips brushed side to side, just enough, before her head tilted and her lips pressed against Malodore's once more.

"It's not that I don't want you around, I do. I really do. I'm just worried you're not going to be very happy...with the way I am now." She looked sadly away like the thought made her upset. "I just don't want to be the cause of you being miserable."
Looking at the shoes she considered them thoughtfully. "I was...thinking about it?" She looked to Shun questioningly, lifting the shoes up to inspect them. That's when she heard the voice in her head telling them their time was almost up. "Well, we're running out of time I guess these will do." They were under twenty so it worked out. "Do you want to spend the rest of what you have? We can look around. Thank you by the way...for this." She held the panda plush close.

"Don't... worry about that so much," Shun murmured quietly to the side, though furrowed his brow as she seemed to be set on getting those shoes.
"Are you sure? You.. always tended to be a little on the clumsy side. I'm afraid you may hurt yourself wearing those," he frowned. She didn't the last time she had worn heels, but he did recall that she didn't find those shoes particularly comfortable.
"I may, though I'm not certain what I can get. But... you're welcome."

"I do worry though.."
Mitsu studied the shoes a little longer before she moved to the register without hesitation. It seemed...she knew what she was doing. "I think I can manage maybe?" It had been made to sound questioning but there was too much confidence in her voice as she set the shoes on the counter to be rung up. The shoes were scanned and Mitsu set the twenty down to pay and was even handed back some change. Pocketing the money she slung her new bag over her arm and walked back to the reaper.
"Well, let's have a look around. Maybe you'll find something you like?" She offered out her hand to him ready to walk anywhere he wanted to go.

Shun just fell silent, though it was hard to say what was going on through his mind exactly. He just stood by while she bought the shoes without much hesitation at all. Once she was done, he looked to her briefly, then shook his head slowly.
"No. It's fine. We can head back to the fountain. I... was never one for shopping."
Generally, he bought what he needed.
Slowly, he placed his hands into his pockets and turned to start making his way back.

Now behind the register, the girl began her transaction for Levi's purchase. "Alright sir, let me just total you up here then~ that'll be 7.47 with tax." Levi handed the human her single bill of human money, pretty confident that their 20 and 6.50 meant the same thing; the 6.50 was less than what she ha and thusly, Levi could make the purchase. She turned out to be correct, though the tax had sure bumped up the price. What was with that?"Thank you, come back and see us again!" Suuuure~ Not likely. Collecting her baggie with newly acquired item and change shoved into her pocket (it was both papery and metallic), the ghoul joined West in leaving the store. Ain't seen anythin' in thar?

Malodore blinked in surprise. It was... not entirely an unpleasant feeling, though it was also oddly squishy. And fleshy. And warm and damp, and its nose bumped against hers; it was a good thing she knew what she was doing, because kissing was just not a plague doctor thing. Period.
"... Interesting," it allowed, afterwards. "I believe I prefer your usual method, however. It is more stimulating, and less... er... moist."

When he didn't take her hand Mitsu hesitated for the longest time, her hand still out reached before she slowly drew it back and let it drop at her side. Her expression fell considerably as she fell into step behind the reaper, hugging the panda plush tightly as they headed back to the main group to have their items preserved.
"I've....made you upset?" She asked softly.

When she pulled away, Riley felt very content that she now had the memory of trying such a thing once. And she wholeheartedly agreed with the assessment. Her lips broke apart in a wide grin as she heard her thoughts echoed in his voice. "I prefer my method, too. I'm glad I'm not a human." She squeezed his chin gently, and let it go, linking arms with him instead. "This trip was a rousing success. Let us go conclude it and return home to appreciate just how good our lives are."
There was a terrible promise in those words. A terrible promise. heart

The reaper didn't answer that right away. No. In a way, he had brought this upon himself.
"It isn't you," Shun said quietly before pausing as they reached the fountain. Ah. So it was indeed time to head back after all. He didn't have any merchandise to be inspected, but he had his leftover money processed anyway. He may as well keep it and all.
Not that he knew what he would do with it. Perhaps it could come in handy at some later point in time.
"Ready to head back when you are," he said, sounding a little distant.

"I guess I'm ready then." Mitsu nodded being handed back her shoes and bear. She didn't seem particularly happy at the moment but bared with it for the time being. His distant voice only seemed to drive the point home he just wasn't pleased.
"Let's head back.." She reached out for his hand again, almost hesitant this time wondering if the gesture would be rejected.

"Nah, it's all, uh, sugary," he said vaguely. "The air." He felt like he had ingested an entire bag of candied spiders through his nostrils after being in that place. "I like sugar, but not th'uman kind I guess." He twitched his nose as he walked, slowing down when he saw an entire storefront dimmed to the point where it almost looked like the store was closed. Strung across the door were several strands sporting hundreds of tiny lights. "Here. I'm goin' in here." Obviously. He ducked inside and took several long strides over to the counter. Their instructor's summons had lit a fire under the demon, but he still wanted to make it out of this place with something good. "Whatta y'got that's less than..." He reached into his pocket and slapped his human money on the counter. "This."The cashier nodded, shuffling off to see to West's request.

Nodding slowly, Shun was about to remove the pin, but paused as he saw her reaching out for his hand again. His expression shifted a little, but then he gently took it. He was far from happy. But... it wouldn't be fair to her if he just shunned her out.
Squeezing her hand lightly, he took the pin off.
A few moments later, he found himself back in Amity, where a gnome passed him yet another survey. He just sort of grimaced as he looked over the mangled mess of words and letters on the page, having half a mind to just crumple it and toss it aside.
