((Oh my....it seems Mairyela has Romvian issues....anyway, my bad about the drunk crack...I had pirates of the carribean 3 on the brain! It comes out tomorrow and I have tickets; can't wait to see it....I think it's the coolest thing ever when Davy Jones plays the organ....))
Mercury locked the trunk and hid the keys again. She walked over to the open window, and dusted her hands off. Then she walked over to the bed, and unsheathed her sword, examining it in the light for signs of rust or staining. She found none, so she sheathed it, and set it on the bed. She was starting to formulate a plan, and it was going to require more than one change, of which the sword was the least.

Alina looked shocked. "WOW! congradulations! You will be perfect for the job!" alina was very happy to know that the new Mistress of Novices was a nice woman that she was already fond of. an interesting chain of events, the Amyrilin is a Green, as is the Keeper, but Mairyela is Blue. Thats rare, its only happened a few times in Tower history. but it dosnt matter.
"I am surprised you told me that i will be raised! But i am very excited. I almost have all the weaves down, but i've only done them fully in order twice." Alina smoothed her face and formed the first weave making it into the Aes Sedai Tear. She smiled and let it, and the Power go. "see? but i'm very nervous."

Mairyela smiled. "Thank you. I figured you should know. You've waited a long time, I hear, and you at least deserved to know what was happening. As for being nervous, it's natural. Don't worry, though. You're weaves look good. I'm sure you'll do just fine."
She was about to continue when someone cleared their throat loudly from behind them. Turning, she spotted Laras. The woman had her hands on her hips, and a heavy looking wooden spoon in one hand. She almost blanched. If there was any woman Mairyela was afraid of, it was Laras. She remembered her wooden spoon well.
Mairyela held up her hands. Turning to Alina, she said, "It seems our talk is over. If you need any more advice on anything, just come to me. No doubt I'll be in my office for quite a while."

Mercury was testing the sword. The weight was familiar, and she would become accustomed to it again shortly. It was perfectly balanced even after being in a trunk for years, and the edge was sharp enough for now. She left the sword haphazardly on her bed, unsheathed, with the sheath next to it. The trunk had been replaced again, and hidden. She decided to go and see if Mairyela was in her office, and wanted any help organizing her new office.
Mercury would have done so anyway, but there was another reason she wanted to help Mairyela settle in. If their small group was going to hunt down Romvian, they would need many things. And one of those things was for Alina to be tested and raised, so that she could aid them freely, as a full Aes Sedai. Perhaps she would mention some of those thoughts to Mairyela. She had descended the stairs fairly quickly. Two more flights would put her down the hall from her destination.

Alina blushed as Mairyela left. They thought she was important enough to tell when she was going to be raised. Thats somthing.
Alina turned to Laras and smiled. The woman and her had a long history. Alina had scrubbed many a pots in her time.
"So i guess this means I won't be seeing your scrawny bottom sticking out of my pots anymore hmm?"
"oh don't worry Laras, I still have a few days left of this punishment." She smiled at the large woman and started to giggle.
"Well girly, I'm glad you are finally going to be raised, but you got to know, they won't take any of your Tom foollary anymore." Laras said as she broke into a big smile.
"I know, its going to be tough, but i think i can do it." Alina smiled, and as she kent back down into the big pot she was cleaning she started to hum "Comming home from Tarwins Gap"

Mercury made it down the stairs, with half her thoughts still on her sword, and the memories with it. How long it would take for her to re-train was something she was trying to figure out and fit into her schedule. Before she knew it, she was in front of the Mistress of Novices' door. Deciding to think more later, she knocked to see if Mairyela was in.

Having gone to the Mistress of Novices office many times as a novice and Accepted, which she wasn't too proud of, Mairyela knew the way like the back of her hand. The jingle of the keys in her pouch reminded her of her new level of responsibility. As far as she was concerned, she was ready for a new challenge.
Taking the last flight of steps faster than normal, she was eager to get to her new office. There was much to do. Turning the corner, she nearly tripped over her feet as she spotted Mercury Sedai at the office door, hand raised as she knocked.
"Good day, Mercury Sedai." She said as she came up next to her. No doubt the Keeper had thought she was in. Fishing the keys from her pouch, she slid the key into the lock, and opened the door. "Please, make yourself comfortable." she beconed the Keeper inside.
Even though the office hadn't been in use in a while, the office was not in as much disarray as she was expecting. There were boxes standing everywhere with papers, and she only hoped that had already been done.
Brushing off a bit of dust from a tall-backed chair, she offered it to Mercury Sedai. "Please, have a seat. I'm guessing you no doubt came to talk." She paused a moment. "Would you like some tea?"
((Isn't this exciting? But what about the Oath Rod? We need the Amyrlin. We'll have to RP her...))

Mercury smiled and thanked Mairyela for the proferred chair, before looking around. "Tea sounds nice. I came to see if perhaps you wanted some help cleaning and organizing. I daresay my own office has been terrifying many a time."

Mairyela nodded as she spotted a young novice go by the office. Calling to her, she asked blueberry tea to be brought, then came back to answer the Keepers question.
"That would be..." she let her eyes wander the room, "...an amazing help!" She had to laugh despite herself. Grabbing a box, she flipped the lid open, and cringed. There were more papers than she though. She had no idea where to start. She was grateful for Mercury Sedai's kindness.
"So," she spoke as she began sorting the paperwork. Just to do something while they waited for the novice to return, "Alina and I spoke a little while ago. She wanted an oppinion as to which Ajah to choose. I gave her my advise, but I hope she chooses for herself." she paused. "I'd like to raise her as soon as possible. She's more than earned it!"

Mercury had gone over to the window and opened it. "It's good to know she's putting so much thought into which Ajah she chooses, but it's even better to know that she will be raised. With her free of the Accepted life, she'll be a bit more free to pursue what she wants; and honestly, I wouldn't decline her help for hunting down Romvian either.
I have a feeling she won't choose Red, so that makes me wonder who she'll take as a Warder, and how soon." She used a large but careful sweep of Air to send all the dust billowing outside. She turned to note Mairyela's face at the papers, and laughed. "You'll grow to dislike the paperwork soon enough."

Mairyela laughed. "I have a feeling it might be that young Kakashi. Those two seem very close. And believe me when I say that Red is the last thing on her mind." Laughing, the two set out to tackle the mess. The novice soon brought tea, and they drank, then set on it again. It felt like hours before the final slip of paper was set aside. Taking a look around, Mairyela nodded. For such a mess, and with two people, they had acomplished a lot.
The moon outside was already high in the sky as she sat down heavily in her new chair. Looking over to the Keeper, she smiled. "Thank you for all your help. I truely appriciate it. I'm sure you're tired after everything that's happened."
