((*sweat drop* Uh, yeah. Sorry, I'm on vacation at th moment, and can't get on as much as I would like. Again, if you need to, someone can RP me.))
Mairyela sighed as the two girls continued to exchange subtle blows. The two questions came relativly at the same time, and she couldn't help but sigh aloud. She first turned to Sarah and said, "It is not my decision to make. If you truely wish to leave, you'll have to ask the Keeper, as she was the one who asked us to come." She glanced over at Mercury Sedai. Then, turning to Alina, she spoke, "After all is said and done, of course we can speak. Now," she looked at both women in turn, "please try and get along! We have a long day ahead of us, and childish spats will get us nowhere. Remember who you are. You are women and Aes Sedai in training. Arguing like that should be below you."

I am a woman. but others of us are mere children. Alina thought vichously. ((woah sp!!)) "Yes Aes Sedai, I wanted to ask you your opinion on what Ajah i should choose. Out of the Yellow or Green i mean. Out of all the Aes Sedai in the Tower, i feel i have spent the most time with you, and wanted your personal opinion." Alina was not trying to flatter anyone, it was true. Recently she had been spending a lot of time with Mairyela Sedai, and respected her opinion greatly.

Skiiy sighs to himself as him and his construction crew take a break while the women have their catfight. Leaning over to the man next to him to say something he hoped none of them would here, he is suprised to find it is Ligan, who at some point got swept up in their work crew. He smiles at Skiiy with his huge grin, and says
"If you ask me, I think both of em' are prolly children. They sure aren't speaking well for the entire order at the moment, are they?"
Skiiy frowns as he prepares to answer Ligan
"I was gonna say that...the sad part is, a lot of the Tower is like that, they have their politics, and their petty disputes, they don't really know how to work together in times of need. If they wanna fight, let'em do it on their own time, but we have important work to do now..."

Mercury was more than a little dizzy and disoriented after using so much of the Power, but she hid it well. She could vaguely pay attention to Alina and Sarah arguing something about lords and Perrin, while the dizziness subsided and she pulled herself back together.
"Alina, Sarah, you may return to the Tower now." She said, giving them permission to depart. She pretended to survey their work a little more throughly, waiting for Mairyela and Alina to finish talking, because she had to speak to the Blue alone.

Glancing at the Keeper Alina noticed that she seemed a little annoyed. "but i guess we can talk about that later, i do have some dishes to do." she curtsyed to the Aes Sedai "by your leave." and turned and left to go work in the kitchens.

((You didn't miss anything; we just got done with the linking bit...also, looks like my compy wants to die again, so I'm gonna post this in one huge chunk, and hopefully I can come back for mini's post..))
As Alina left, Mercury was rubbing Aldeib's nose; she felt so strangely fatigued that she thought if she didn't keep herself busy, she might fall asleep where she was. She stopped, and gave her horse a command to stay where it was, before walking over to the other Aes Sedai.
"Mairyela, I would like to speak with you. Your recent actions have been taken note of. In a good way, I assure you." She added quickly, realizing she was making this sound like a bad thing. "With Romvian about, it is plain that the trainees cannot go on with various Aes Sedai doing bits and pieces of the Mistress's position.
The Amyrlin has spoken with the Hall-informally, of course, but their decision stands strong. They have named-I should say offered you-the position of Mistress of Novices. I say offer rather than name, because you are free to decline if you choose. I believe you are familiar with most of what the tasks along with the position are. Would you like some time to consider this before you make your decision?" Mercury asked.

Mairyela watched Alina's back as she left. I'll have to catch her in the kitchens later on she thought.
She then felt Mercury approach her, and she turned to the Keeper. As Mercury Sedai spoke and told her the news from the Hall, she was surprised, but happy. There were many well-qualified Aes Sedai in the Tower, many who had been there much longer than her, but she had been the one chosen. Romvian had changed many more things within the Tower than she had thought.
She couldn't help but grin. "I am honored by the Hall's decision. And here I thought I was simply doing my part." She paused. "As for waiting and considering for an answer, I don't think I'll need it. Time really isn't in our favour in the situation, and the Initiates should be prepared as soon as possible. I accept the position, but on one condition, if I may. Along with my duties as the new Mistress, of course, I would also like to contiue to be involved in catching Romvian. He made his message clear when he not only attacked the Tower, but Tar Valon as well. He means everyone harm. My feelings for him have gone beyond loathing."
((Sweet. Thanks Merc! ))

Mercury nodded. "You are more than welcome to join us in the hunt." Mairyela was one of the few Mercury trusted to hunt for Romvian with her, and not do something stupid in the process. Granted, there was many a wise sister, but some were by far too adherent to the laws, and for this job, they needed Aes Sedai with completely open minds. "Now then, I will inform the hall of your decision."
She paused there, and opened her belt pouch. She pulled out a set of keys. "These are the keys to your office. The others open the rooms of the trainees, should you ever need to do so." She didn't add that the Tower kept an extra set of those same keys in case of emergency. "Raising trainees to higher levels is of course, at your discretion, but I do not doubt that some of the other sisters will offer their own opinion on the matter." She said.
"Also...one final thing. When you feel ready to begin testing the girls, might I suggest you test Alina for the shawl first, if she is ready? Her testing has been long overdue I think, and if she passes, then she will be helpful in our search for Romvian. Until you find sisters to be those involved in the testing, I will stand in for the Green. Sanar for the Red, Ryelle for the Yellow," Mercury went on to name the last four sisters, before nodding. "Well that's taken care of. I wish you success. If you'll excuse me, I must return to the Tower. I'm sure we will speak later." She added the last with a smile, indicating that she meant it out of friendship, and not formality. Then she mounted Aldeib, and headed back towards the Tower.

while standing for awhile at the distance, while Merc and the others have done what they were here to do, he was watching there environment and guarding the place for people who are curious enough to take a peek at whats happening. As Merc mount on Aldieb, he does the same with Jeaden and ride along with her towards the shining tower.

There was only one thing on Mercury's mind as she rode back to the Tower, and that was how quickly she could get to her room and sleep, and for how long. Handling so much of the Power was difficult. She could put off any other work she had today till tomorrow, or do it later tonight if it was truly too important to wait. Plus that would give Hawk time to do his training for the day; he'd been awake and by her side since Romvian's first attack.
She felt like she could sleep for days straight. Once they reached the stables, she dismounted and handed Aldeib over to the stableboys, before quickly gliding off towards her rooms in the Green quarters. She sank onto the bed, and was asleep in minutes.

"So what's next Romvian?" queried one of the sul'dam. He glanced over at her and debated answering her.
"Now, we rest." He held up a hand to silence the question that was coming. "I said three attacks. But I am not an Aes Sedai, to be bound by Oaths. For today, we will not visibly attack. Instead, we will simply rest; after yesterday, a good many of you need it." He laced his voice with contempt, because to say such a thing with any other emotion would give the subservient fools notions that he was weak or sentimental.
"Later today, we will sneak into the Tower, and mix some of their stores with varying degrees of poison. Nothing too lethal, unless some of them are gluttons, but enough to cause them more casualties to deal with, along with the problem of us." He smirked here, reflexively. "And tomorrow, we will do nothing. Let the poison take its effects over time, and let the Aes Sedai worry and wait for a third-or a second as some of them may think-strike which will never come, and thus baffle them all." He was going to break them.

((I totally agree! Good job Merc! Poison...crap.))
Bouncing the keys in her palm, Mairyela smiled and gave a deep curtsey to Mersury Sedai. Thanking her, she smiled back, and watched as she left for the Tower. From what she could see, the Keeper seemed exhausted; her usual straight back was slightly hunched over. Luckily they didn't have to link very often.
Suddenly realizing she was standing about doing nothing, she mounted her ride, and turned towards Skiiy and Ligan. "I can trust you both with the rest." she announced, then rode off.
Along the way to the Tower, she couldn't help but think on her new position. There was so much to do, and she had to figure out where to start. She had to get the girls organizedm update the Initiates list, interview them all to learn where their powers stood, decide who should be tested and raised...she sighed. She knew Alina was quite capable, and she knew she would be raised as soon as she was organized. She also decided to see whether Sarah had the strengths to be raised.
"Speaking of Alina," she spoke to herself as she entered the stables, "I have to speak with her."
Walking up the steps of the Tower, she made her way to the kitchens. It wasn't long before she spotted the Accepted hard at work. Walking over to the girl, she smiled. "It amazes me how often we seem to meet in here." she joked. "I hope you aren't too busy."
