Ako held Gidget as she came to him, hoping the embrace was as comforting to her as it was to him. Before he'd come back, he'd felt he was close to losing himself, becoming one of those people who made their living on teh suffering of others. Theft, dealing, hold-ups, even killing someone for the money in their wallet all crossed his mind at times, the temptations becoming more frequent as time went on.
Being back here, having Gidget, being able to hold her, to feel her presence, and just being around her gave him an anchor. A hand-hold to pull himself back to civilization, to what could loosely be considered normality. She calmed his internal storm, but he couldn't seem to find the words to tell her so.
All he could do was hold her a little tighter, feel the bioelectric field around her, re-enforcing in his mind that this was a live person in his arms, one that actually loved him.
All he could say was; "You mean more to me than you could know."

mc2 Christian smiled a little bit. "Thanks..." Then he blurted out, "But how do you sync someone with their source? That seems awfully invasive. I know you helped my Mom, but I can't help but be concerned about repercussions. She jumps into things..."

Christian frowned and said, "So not only do you look a lot like a younger Shane, you have similar powers to Legion. I wouldn't explain that process to too many people: it'll look bad on you. I'd like to think Mom wouldn't agree to the process if she had known exactly how you do it, but then again knowing her she would agree to do something like that, regardless. It would allow her greater freedom to take her revenge on Daedalus if she so chooses. The limitations on her power were what according to Daedalus made her flawed..."

Gidget smiled and nestled into his embrace. Not quite the response she was hoping for, but it made her feel nice.

Damien shifted his gaze uncomfortably before looking at Christian again. "A few people have said that. Who is Shane, and why shouldn't I explain how my poers work?"

Trinity felt as though she was beating a dead horse but the being still did not quite get the fact that it did put Gidget's life at risk which is why she was having trouble with simply taking its word. She calmed herself by taking a deep breath. Perhaps a different approach was in order. "Okay, so you are not a threat. Have you put any thought beyond that? Where will you go? What are you intending to do with the power you've acquired?"

"Shane was Gidget's brother and Mom's boyfriend or whatever. He got pretty strong powers through an experiment on him, but apparently the power consumed him and took over," Christian explained. "I didn't particularly care for him, but Mom was able to manipulate him into helping attack Daedalus HQ and rescue me... but Shane's killed a lot of people. Not just Daedalus people but innocents. Tons of people. All those eggs were supposed to be his victims."

Trinity knew there was something more. That the being was simply dismissing them by saying it was not a threat to merely dismiss them so it could do whatever it intended to do, in this case would be what its father wanted. The head of security knew better than to stop there.
"I'm afraid your father's intentions are the very meaning of the word threat. In his case a global threat."

"Yes, his actions were not ideal. But the core of his intentions was good. Shane's ideal would have been carried out had he not been stopped. One hive mind, everybody else the same. No more conflict. But his methods were wrong. Tell me, which is better? Evil attained through good methods or Good attained through Evil methods?" The being asked. It had a goal and it would achieve it. However it would not go down the same path it's father did. It would bring this world together. It would fix it.

Damien was puzzled. "Your expression earlier was that of displeasure. I do not understand why. I have done nothing wrong, and possess no desire to harm anyone. The people I have helped have been satisfied by what I can do. I would like to help others. Seeing people happy...pleases me."

Ako knew he hadn't given her the answer she wanted, but what else could he say? Was he supposed to lie, say everything was alright? Was it better to tell the truth, yes, she was crazy and probably needed help? The only thing he could think of, to avoid hurting her feelings or lying, which would have eventually lead to the same thing, was to change the topic. He'd only told the truth, but still, it didn't feel right to him. But what was he supposed to do?

Christian said, before smiling some, "But obviously you are not him. And I'm sure Mom could tell that right away: she can sense people's auras. Regardless, I agree with your logic about making people happy. I'm a sensor too, but not like Mom is. I only can sense people's emotions. I just want people to be happy. Happiness is more pleasant to be around than any other emotion. As long as you are making people happy than I don't have a problem with you. Actually, I think it is a great thing. It makes me happier to be around happy people."

Deora looked up from the random magazine she'd been skimming through as Kerana came back into the room. Her expression went from boredom to concern as Kerana said they needed her, wondering how she could possibly help. She got up quickly, anyway, and followed the fox girl. "Que pasa, Kerana? What's wrong?"
