Without another word, Jessie turned and motioned for Lucien to follow her. Trekking back up the beach, it would only take a few minutes to reach her place.

Warakai smiled, slightly embarrassed as he bent down to help the girl with her spilled groceries "sorry about that, I should have been paying better attention" he said running to catch a bottle of milk that had somehow not smashed and was instead making its way down the hallway. "I'm Warakai, er Kai if you want" he said handing over the wayward bottle.

The girl took the milk from Kai, taking a moment to smile at him, "Thanks. I'm Nyla. Nice to meet you, Kai." She looked at his appearance and smiled wider, "I like your dread locks. You don't see much of those around here. Are you from somewhere else?" She was openly curious, not afraid to ask questions.

"I'm from the Sarrakon fleet city, I think its floating somewhere to the west this time of year, heh, its kinda hard to find sometimes" Warakai said pushing his hair out of his face. "Its kinda weird to be standing on a floor that isnt rocking" he said smiling and chuckling at his really sad attempt at a joke. He shuffled about nervously for a moment, he had gone his whole life only talking to merchants and other Sarrakon, he wasn't sure what to say to a citizen of the empire.
"Aah, breakfast of champions" Demi said slamming down the empty glass that had contained her third beer.
"Stop saying that" the barkeep said taking her glass and refilling it, Demi took the cold perspiring glass setting the man with a heavy lidded glare as she laid her other hand on the shoulder strap to her dangerous looking assault rifle.

She laughed at his lame joke, though she didn't find it overly lame in the first place. She stood, her mess of groceries hardly contained in her small arms. "I wish I had a story as exciting as that. But I've been stuck in the suffocating city basically my whole life. No life at sea for me, though that'd be nice." She blew a curl from her face and readjusted the items in her arms, "Well, I better get these back to the apartment..." She flashed him another smile, "Maybe I'll see you later."

"Yeah, maybe" Warakai said watching her walk away for a moment before turning back to the open elevator, he stepped inside happy that he didnt have to discover the secrets of the panel anymore. He turned around to find another panel just next to the door, this one had alot more buttons than the first. Experimentally he pressed the button that he had seen used when he arrived, though nothing happened, so he pressed them all, and the doors closed.

Leith and Mike finished their breakfast and helped Leith's aunt to clean up the dishes and mess. Mike went to the living room, pampering his broken arm that didn't hurt as much, but was still killing him. Leith paced the front of the living room and looked annoyed.
Mike spoke up, "What's wrong, Leith?"
"I'm wondering where the hell Warakai went off to. That guy better not have left us. I'll have to track him down if he did." Leith muttered under her breath, her pale blonde hair hiding her face.

Tamara finished after them and decided to help wash up as well. She didn't mind her brother being absent. She was used to it by now.
