((Ya, good anime...))
PostPosted: Fri Mar 02, 2007 8:18 am

((Indeed it was good. I saw a box set of it on sale the other day, but I didn't have any money on me! crying And, I suppose since it's going to take me forever to find the last three games...you can tell me! For my sake, and for Merc's sanity!))

Mairyela looked down at her slippers before answering. "It seems that both the novices and the Accepted, with the exception of a few like Alina and a couple others, were not trained for an emergency such as this. I propose that the novices and Accepted be trained both in the Power and in combat. I know the hand-to-hand fighting is the job of the Warders, but until they are raised to full Sisterhood, they won't have that protection." She sighed before going on. "Most of the girls I passed by were too terrified even to reach the True Source, let alone use it. This way, at least, they will be able to defend themselves when the Tower is attacked again."

((I don't know anything about the betrayal phase, that's something you have to go to Merc about. My problem was, I believe after disc 2, Mistral gets pregnant and has a daughter or something like that, and can't play for a while. I coulda sworn you got her back later, but I don't remember. Also, her daughter is in the final .hack// series, Legend of the Twilight Bracelet. She's just as annoying, what with her Rare item! Rare item!

So you may want to find another healer. One that doesn't get her/himself knocked up.))

((Lol, I'll try and make it a male character then. That way I know he won't get pregnant whee ))

((Yeah, Mistral's daughter is in Legend of the Twilight Bracelet, using her mother's avatar as well. The manga was better than the anime. How dare the anime cut out Zefie...))

After she was done with the class, she headed out for the library. She was interested in the ter'angreal making research going on. She had seen it done, but she wanted to pick up some information on known ter'angreal along with find out how to borrow a couple from the tower long enough to experiment and hopefully make some copies, if she could manage that much before the tower takes the ter'angreal back anyways.

((You're lost in the RP? I don't really know what's going on either, I'm just hoping I'll bump into someone sweatdrop ))

((Mistral vanishes in game 3 at the start, and I've yet to get her back. I thought she was never coming back, but I'm not sure. If she does, I'll celebrate. Cutting out Zefie was stupid, and the Twilight anime just plain sucked. It was terrible. And there wasn't even any Yuki! *adores Yuki* Which is why I cling to .hack//ROOTS even though I can seldom stay awake for it.

As to the Betrayal phase, Mia starts acting a little....freaky around disc 2-3. The reason? She's actually doomed to turn INTO one of the phases. Which is why I call her the betrayal phase, though I've yet to fight her...but she looks, despite that she's a traitor (willingly or not) and that she's trying to kill you... sweatdrop Not that you find all this out until you actually get to that point; it's just that a friend warned me.))

Mercury paused a moment in thought. It wasn't that what Mairyela was saying didn't make sense; it was only logical. "I see the logic in it...but if we do in fact put this plan into effect, it will have to be mostly bows and daggers. Otherwise, it will distract them too much from their studies trying to master other weapons such as swords and poleaxes.

We would also have to obtain the permission of the Sword and Weapons masters, and perhaps some of the Green Sisters. Temporarily, if this is implemented, the word of the Mother should be enough to allow proceeding; but eventually it will also need to be agreed upon by the Hall. We can only hope that they can at least find the courage to use their weapons, if not the Power." She commented. "Their first experience is terrifying...but in time they will learn to brave that fear. In any case, I will speak to the Mother about it."

((I didn't like Legend except for Balmung. Balmung is the greatest player evar! My team was usually Balmung, Kite, and a healer, Mistral until she left.

In the RP, I'm with Mini at Merc's office, but I'm not really doing anything.))

((*Read's Merc's post.* eek Holy hell! Wow, poor Mia! I quite like her as a character. Hmm, it'll kinda suck having to kick her butt!))

Mairyela nodded. "Daggers and bows will be fine, if the idea does go through. I wasn't thinking of anything too elaborate; manly just something to defend themselves until they learn to use the Power better." She smiled. "Also, it would give the Greens something to do. I'm sure they're a tad bored waiting for the Last Battle. Now," she nodded towards the Keeper, "how may I help you?"
PostPosted: Sun Mar 04, 2007 1:21 pm

((Yeah, poor Mia...and what about Elk? It would suck if you had to take him as the required party member...))

Mercury smiled as well. There was a fair bit of truth behind that remark about the Greens. After all, before she had become the Keeper, all she'd had to do was train, and even that couldn't consume the entire day.

"I need to link with you, Alina, and the other sisters. Romvian caused the rain by weaves of the Power; I can Read those weaves and overlap them without so much as a hair's breadth of difference. By doing so, we can repair Tar Valon all the faster, for those areas made of mortar at least.

With the help of the Browns' calculations, we can overlap the rain damage mark for mark, and only have to worry about those buildings which are wooden. Which reminds me, I need to ask a favor of Skiiy. I understand you have abilities over Air; while we're doing this, would it be possible for you to create a light barrier of Air? That way, in case some of the mortar mixture strays, it won't cause a bigger mess or get in the way of the others working to repair the city. As both of you can imagine, we will need all our strength for this, and it is unlikely that we will be able to do anything of noticeable effect with the Source until tomorrow, once we finish the re-falling."

Sarah sat quietly in the library, going over some notes from old ter'angreal research. She was looking for some ter'angreal that the tower had that looked like what it did was simple in nature. Something that would probably be the easiest to study and possibly copy.

((*shoves the Keeper along so the boring part can end*))

Before either Mairyela or Skiiy could answer, another knock came on the office door. Mercury called for them to enter, and an Accepted came in, curtsied, and handed her a parchment.

"The Browns requested I deliver this message: Those are the papers you requested, and it has been checked twice. Following them should acheive the results wanted." The girl curtsied again when she was dismissed, and left.

Mercury then unrolled the scroll, and overlooked it. At the top was a miniature drawing of Tar Valon, broken up into sections, though by what standard it was hard to say. Then there followed a key, which indicated the sections were done by building materials, and those using mortar were marked with circles in the top left corner.

After that, followed a long sequence of calculations; the Keeper puzzled over them, and eventually came to understand a little more than three-quarters of them, before losing the rest. Thankfully, there was a simple direction at the bottom, which explained how to carry out the plan, without even having to understand a single thing about the numbers. "It seems the Browns have worked hard to give us the basis to carry out our plan." She commented, turning it so that Mairyela and Skiiy could see.
