If you gazed upon the set up of the room Samantha Adams was staying in at Bai Ching, you'd probably would have been a little put off.

The state of her room was just fine, all the furniture in place and just as tidy as any other room. It was the inhabitants however, that were a bit startling. First, and the most normal in appearance, was Luli. She laid upon the other bed soundly sleeping just like a normal teenage girl would. Then it got slightly strange. Bo and Tyler were both sprawled out on the floor sleeping on random couch pillows and throws for couches. Ty's snores were almost unbearable, while Bo merely muttered in his slumber.

Samantha had to be up for her first real day of classes. This was her own room also, finally getting her own instead of just using Nessie's. She was now officially a student in a school of magic, and she belonged there more than she had ever imagined. While the others quietly slumbered, Sam got ready and dressed in her new uniform. Which she wasn't really fond of, but was going to follow rules nonetheless.

Sam's father wasn't in the room with her, deciding it to be best to keep his distance. She tried not to show it, but this bothered her quite a lot. So somewhere in or around the school was her father all alone. Probably taking a smoke or making his own bit of music. Finally when she was ready, she quietly made her way out of the room and down the hall to her first class. Familiars 101.

She honestly had no idea what this class was about, but she made her way outside to the area of the class nonetheless. Like the quiet mouse her appearance was barely noticed as she barely crept onto the scene of the class. Sam made barely a peep.

Sam glanced her head up and the kind voice of the teacher of the class. She was deeply relieved the woman was nothing like her teachers back in America, old, gruff, and a hatred of youth. It baffled her why exactly they taught school in the first place.

Unsure what would be an appropriate response, Sam merely nodded her head. "Yes ma'am, today is my first day. My father is the man who occasionally sells coffee at the school." To be honest, she wasn't sure what that exact arrangement was all about. She'd merely heard people talking about it in the hallways, wishing her father would start it up again. Sam was disgusted at some of the other things they would mention.

She wasn't sure what brought her to mention her father, perhaps to bring a bit of familiarity to everyone? As if they couldn't guess from her silver hair and icy blue eyes. The two distinct features of her dad. Sam proceeded to sit on a nearby stump, imitating what the other students of the room were doing.

Ares stretched gratefully as he strolled down the hallway. He had spent the last part of the day simply fetching whatever the teacher's requested, from the education to the mundane. He had hoped to have a more interesting job, but it was the only one at a school he could get. Where else could he actually learn? It had been what Nali always wanted him to do. Learn. But Nali was gone now. Ares' previously happy nature sobered at the thought of his precious little sister.

((^0^ Like I said, I don't mind having someone talk to Ares, he needs something to cheer him up right now. And being a male characters fun once in a while.))

Ares perked up at the sounds of approaching footsteps. Pausing mid step, he looked around and spotted Evermore just as her hair turned. However, he'd been working here for a little while, so such sights weren't too odd. But you know, you never really get used to such sights no matter how hard you tried.

Geo sat in the music room. He was alone, as he had no classes to teach. He felt like fooling around with some of the instruments, and he was in an upbeat and cheerful mood. With that in mind, he picked up an electric guitar, tuned it a little and started strumming randomly. Within a matter of moments, he was belting out the guitar melody of Through the Fire and Flames. His fingers simply flew up and down the guitar strings, and he was putting some of the current hit bands to shame right now.

Ever's smile grew slightly. Classes had been pretty cool, actually, and was a good subject to talk about for once.

"Actually, classes are going pretty well. Today in Refinement, one of the new students, Caroline Enlil, challenged Miss Simons on the need for the class. She thought that female refinement was pointless. Well, you know Miss Simons. She let Caroline talk and state her point, but then Miss Simons calmly found fault in all of Caroline's points and then... Oh my gosh, you won't believe this! Miss Simons made Caroline a teacher's assistant! Miss Simons has always been innovative and one of the more interesting professors, but that just floored me!"

Evermore laughed, just thinking about the memory.

Ever, still chuckling, scooted off to the side of the hall so that she wasn't in the way of other people passing by, mainly students. She leaned her back against the wall and looked at Ares with a sparkle in her eyes.

"She was just awe struck like a lot of us were! I think I heard her mumble something about feeling like she had just lost an argument with someone from Mensa or something. It was awesome!"

Ares laughed, imagining how well that must've played out. "It really does sound like a fun class! I bet it'll get even better as the year goes on, knowing Miss Simons and this Enlil girl." Students briefly glanced at the blond boy, but most either wrote him off and left. But instead of his usual fight with the students, he chose to ignore them in favor of talking to Ever. "So what're you doing for break? I'm gonna raid the Cafeteria and buy as much as I can carry myself."
