themightyjello But either way, "I want to see a siege" is not a valid counter to "please turn down the douchebaggery". In the same way you can choose to ignore someone's character if they're being a d**k, you can choose to ignore an imaginary army if it's being a d**k. It's as simple as that. ...or it would be that simple, but a thread is not a character. Thusly, you can't just say "my character isn't involved". But douchebaggery knows not the consequences of its actions. Thusly... give a good reason for why that army has to go through the city and cause so much unwanted s**t for the people in that thread. A good reason. A reason that makes all the headaches, arguments, and "this s**t isn't fun anymore" complaints seem trivial in comparison. A good reason. This is a fighting guild. There's your reason.

Yep, it is. As was B's point valid for an IC reason. But everyone else's points were pretty valid, too, so we've got a couple people who gave reasons for it, a couple people who gave reasons against, and still the only person who isn't opposed or indifferent is the one who owns the army.
Sunday! Day of sunburns.

Lol reasons against?
All I heard was a weak statement being made that he was refusing to play in the same sandbox simply because he fears it becoming like the other sandbox down the street.
What happens in this new sandbox is entirely dependent on said people playing there--- he's just showcasing a weak sauce fear of contact and bout of laziness without even giving it a chance--- and possibly also because he got so a** ******** in the Barton sandbox to begin with.
Giving up without even trying is lame, and using the excuse of it being similar to something else so easily is also lame.
Not too mention said person in question has a chronic history of avoiding conflicts in the lamest way possible.
Especially during a guild wide story where there will be conflicts going on everywhere, even your grandmothers basement.
So I think Wulf was justified in his first comment in which you told him to shut up.

Now I'm not saying any one person is justified to attack Lament-- but I am saying that to shrug off any confrontation on a whim simply because of bad history is stupid.
How else can someone learn from mistakes made in the past?
Perhaps Darsh and Ryugi can talk with each other and agree on compromises on how said battle would go.
Instead, it's just Ryugi being 'YOU CANT PARK HUUUREEE ITS A HANDICAP ZONE ONLY'
When all Darsh is trying to do... is roleplay and fight.. in a guild where thats supposed to be possible.
IC he's trying to reach Kraun, for whatever reason. Now if you were some evil, bad conan type army--- and you cam across a city.. would you somehow show a streak of non-dickness and go AROUND the city?
No, you'd go right through and pillage the ******** if they so much as looked cross at you.
Now I've seen what Lament has in ways of attack and defence.
Anti-magic mines and bullets all this other crazy s**t--- so whats the deal?
No enough salt to withstand a siege or something?

Which brings me to my next point.
In the next crew meeting we are instituting a policy about these overnight armies numbering in the tens of thousands. Capice?

As far as I know, there were no 'thousands' of troops on Barton.
Nor do I hope said Army to lament has 'thousands'.
Because thats a lot of dead bodies.

Why? To force him to roleplay the development of such an army?
In which case someone would have the chance to come and attack him early into it?
Then he could use yous guys "WAIT, I HAVENT PULLED UP MY PANTS" excuse.

The only way to solve this is to invade their lair.
And using only a cardboard box.

Someone had the chance to do so since forever. Darsh's army has been sitting in his necropolis since -forever-. It's sitting out there in the open, in the northern wastes or something. He didn't pull it out of his pocket, he's been working and thinking on it.

Vahn Kyonuske Instead, it's just Ryugi being 'YOU CANT PARK HUUUREEE ITS A HANDICAP ZONE ONLY' Ryugi Kazamaru Theres plenty of open space for the convoy to move past the city and into the Northernlands. There is no need for this standoff type of situation, and personally, I do not want to deal with it. So, I'm asking nicely, and seriously. Please, find another way to get where you're going that does not include me, or my properties. Vahn Kyonuske Perhaps Darsh and Ryugi can talk with each other and agree on compromises on how said battle would go. - When all Darsh is trying to do... is roleplay and fight.. in a guild where thats supposed to be possible. IC he's trying to reach Kraun, for whatever reason. Now if you were some evil, bad conan type army--- and you cam across a city.. would you somehow show a streak of non-dickness and go AROUND the city? Darshendros the Eternal That whole army thing was something Mers and I were developing... I dunno how long ago. Then he stopped posting, and I forgot about it, then Trick came to me about the Barton thing. So don't look at me. I'd know better than to try taking an army through the mountains... s'why I always go underground. >.> Vahn Kyonuske Now I've seen what Lament has in ways of attack and defence. Anti-magic mines and bullets all this other crazy s**t--- so whats the deal? No enough salt to withstand a siege or something? 1. Nobody wants to see that ghetto-s**t. 2. We've already gotten complaints from the other people RPing in that thread. Vahn Kyonuske Nor do I hope said Army to lament has 'thousands'. Because thats a lot of dead bodies. 30,000. With walking tanks and s**t.
