"Oh, so we've never seen a place like this then," She nodded in understanding, looking forward again until Shun told her to wait a moment. Standing in the spot he left her in she watched him leave and enter a shop not far off that made him look far too out of place. She could see him chatting with a store associate before they moved away out of view only for Shun to emerge a moment later with a bag in hand.
"For me?" Mitsu took the bag, smiling and eyes wide as she opened it and peeked inside. Almost curiously she drew out the little panda plush, her fingers tracing over the soft furry fabric. "It's so cute." She looked up at him smiling before looking back at the panda. "Thank you." Though her smile looked almost sad for a moment, holding the panda close.
She said nothing more as she continued to trek toward the store with the sales, her fingers clutching the panda plushie close. "I saw a lot of stuffed animals in my room. Did you get me those as well?"

Shun nodded quietly to Mitsu as he pocketed the rest of the money and the receipt for now. He tilted his head for a moment as she almost looked sad for a moment. Had he made a mistake? The Reaper glanced away briefly as he tailed behind her while she made her way to the sales place.
"I did. You used to have a panda backpack..stuffed...toy..thing. But it ended up getting destroyed. Sometime after I got you the wolf to replace it... but I found that you enjoyed these things in general."
Now and then an opportunity to give her one had arose. Scarentines and Whispering Oaks for example.
"If... they are not to your liking, I shall keep this in mind for the future."

He looked up from his worksheet, confusion flitting across his face at the sight of the Not-So-Scaredy Human from earlier. He brought his hands up to block any potential incoming attacks, lowering them when she seemed to recognize him. West smirked. He'd been right. "Yeah, it's me, ghoul," he said with a shake of his head. A part of him was secretly delighted that he had suspected it was Levi all along, but he would never say as much. "Yer so..." He wiggled his hands around a bit, unable to articulate just how un-Levi-like she was right now. West turned the slip of paper he was handed over in his fingers. He was reminded of their trip to the maul back home. "What're y'gonna get?" he asked, waving the strange currency around in front of his face. It smelled funny.

"No....I like it," She said softly turning back to look at him. Her expression said that she was thinking trying to decide what to say before she finally opened her mouth again. "Its just hard not remembering at times. Things that I should know like what I liked and what I didn't. I can start over in some means but it holds me back in others."
The store was just up ahead but she paused before entering. "Shun...if...I remain this way? What will you do?" Her voice sounded a little worried, getting softer in the end. Was she concerned about the answer?

While she thought, Shun waited to see what it was she was trying to say. Ah. Yes. It had to be rather difficult for her. There wasn't really any way for him to relate as far as that went. He never been in a position quite like this. Sure, there were things he didn't remember, but those were generally memories from early in his life... things people don't typically remember.
It was different for her.
At the next question, he paused completely as the words hit him a little harder than he would have liked to admit right there. He stared towards the ground, thinking about that, before slowly letting out a breath.
"I'll just... try to adapt and live with it. I promised you once that I wouldn't leave you. I... don't plan on breaking that.. even if you don't remember it," he said quieter than his usual tone. Even with him, it wasn't too hard to see that he wasn't particularly happy to think about that possible outcome. The idea that she was like this for good.

Riley put down the foam pirate swords she'd been using to poke a small customer, much to their annoyance, when she heard Malodore's voice calling for her. She moved over to his aisle, and stopped right in front of him, bending her head and picking up the mask slightly to look under it.
"Are you all right in there? You look blind. Are you sure this is the mask you want, mia cara? I could find you another.."

"I...I see." The answer seemed to make her think, her expression concerned as she turned back toward the store and went inside heading toward the shoes. It was probably a little out of character for what Mitsu would normally wear but she looked over the high heel pumps on sale like she was actually considering them.

"At least.. unless you would rather not have me around," he murmured.
Shun's eye shifted to where she was looking at, blinking at what she was considering.
"... Those?" he asked, sounding a little confused. She hadn't really been the type to wear high heels. The fact that she looked like she was considering them combined with the question she had just shot him a moment go was... rather concerning.

A hand then reached for West's human face, poking a finger at one of the rings imbedded within his skin. Her brows made a solid line with pouty lips as she tried to make sense of West actually being pierced or just looking pierced in his human guise. It was likely the latter, Levi reasoned, pulling her finger back and coughing lightly in correction after her actions. Wep- reckon there gotta be somethin' worth twenty dollars. Maybe somethin' small... She was thinking a pack of jellied worms or something. They had something like those here, right? Or better yet.. Think they got a fish shop 'round 'ere? The human world had to have fish. But was it edible? Hmmm

"Accurate? Oh... I hadn't thought of that..." In a flash all the air was sucked from her excitement, not that she thought the book would be like the ones back home. She just thought... That maybe they tapped into the FEAR too, that maybe Humans just didn't know? In any regard she darted back to the shelves, grabbed one and flipped it open. Her eyes scanned the pages quickly, Byron's fingers rapid as she turned page after page. A minute passed before she snapped it close and reshelved it. With a stiff spine she returned to Mort, her arms crossed across Byron's chest. "Pish. Tosh!" Was all she deigned to be an appropriate reply. In any event, Belladonna leaned down a little to inspect the two books Mort had chosen. A book on fears and a coloring book? Always the scientist! "Chocolate sounds good! I have 20 Human Money too, so I'll buy the chocolate." The witch decided out loud as she hustled Mary to the counter. The girl behind the counter looked rather bored, but perked up well enough as they approached. "Find everything ok?" She asked as she took the books from Mary. "...Ha ha, you want to be a psychologist when you grow up?" While she talked down at Mary, Belladonna grabbed a few bags of chocolates and toss them onto the counter. She figured that Human computers were far inferior to Halloweentown ones and she figured it would take some time before their total was ready, so she leaned back against the counter and let her eyes wander around the store. Next to the cash register were a few tall bookshelves filled with knick knacks and cheap looking books. A few stuffed toys were piled on one end and a small pink ribbon caught the witch's eyes. Without even stopping to think about it, she reached out and grabbed the ribbon. It was attached to a black cat plushie. Belladonna nearly screamed. Instead she only turned around and pushed the toy in the cashier's face. "How much is this?!""Err... 5 Dollars." Dollars? What was a dollar? Whatever. "We'll take it!" She didn't know that Humans had cute black cat stuffed toys! They hated black cats, so why would they make toys of them!? This was so singular! "Your total is 35 dollars and 49 sense." 49 sense? Was she trying to imply they were stupid? With a small huff, Byron handed over his 20 Human Money bill and frowned down at Mary. Trying to call them stupid, who did she think she was?!

"What're ya..." West frowned as she prodded him, reaching over to liberate her glasses from her face once she was done. He could feel those piercings even if they weren't actually there, thank you very much. He perched her glasses on his nose and stuck his strange, lightweight currency in the pocket of his horrible pants. "We could look fer some fish," he agreed with a curt nod. Surely there would also be something along the way that he could buy for himself. "Jus' dun eat it 'ere in case y'dissipate. Or do. 'M sure Captain Cuddly wouldn't just let y'die." Sage advice from the emo human with the wobbly human's glasses on.

Psychologist? Oh silly human, he was going to be the greatest mad scientist you'd never heard of. Mort bobbed his head regardless and slid the books atop the counter, adding all the green slips of paper to Bells's with an expectant look on his face. The swiftness of the cashier's hands surprised him, and the computer . . . so slick and shiny . . . He couldn't help but reach up and touch it, smiling a bit as he felt the hum. Humans might get currency as wrong as can be, but their technology could be astounding.
He was actually going to ask the human how much this piece of beautiful technology costed when his ghoulfriend suddenly became a-twitter over . . .huh! It looked remarkably like Binx. He probably should've noticed that and offered to buy it, but . . . books. But what was strange was how the total price was more than what it should have been. Where had the extra money come from? And why was she handing Bells some pieces of silver and copper in exchange for the green paper? Agh, whatever, they had their things and that's what mattered.
Turning with her to head out of the store, Mort snatched the chocolate, opened it, and picked off a piece to nibble on. "Mrrr . . . Not so bad!" he commented as he handed it back. "Not nearly's good as brains, b-but s'alright. You, ah, like trip so far?"

"I am half-blind," Malodore grumbled. "And no, no... it should be some fascinating artifact that we bring back, not this... thing." It snapped the elastic band of the mask, then winced as it stung. Ow. "Perhaps if we combine our finances we can obtain a better item?"

Riley winced the same moment Malodore did, and immediately began to peel the mask off of his head. "While I agree, I also did not like the idea of you feeling uncomfortable. But I am willing to pool our resources." She pulled the bill out of her cleavage, and settled it into his hands. "If you wish for a fascinating artifact, then this is not the store for you. I apologize." One corner of her mouth lifted up in a smile. The apology was not without it's share of amusement.

"Ohhh! That looks fantastic. It's so... blinky. Colourful!" Leo stared at Mei's clip with a greatly fascinated expression. That was so awesome! Why hadn't she bought something like that? She threw a rueful glare at the teddybear before holding it up so Mei could see it properly. To her great shame, it was no less pink than it'd been in the store, and the stylized heart and caption was still as disgustingly corny as ever. "I wish I'd found something like yours instead of this. Yours is awesome, and mine is just pink." Surprisingly fluffy, though, she'd give it that. ((Pasty, pimple-faced thirteen year old boy in a pair of black shorts and a blue tshirt))
