Ryan noticed the medicine and canteen away from the horse. He looked at Sebastian through narrowed eyes. "You're planning on leaving aren't you?" He said calmly, not wanting to start a fight. It was Sebastian's choice after all if he left or not, not his. But at least he could stall him so he could talk to everyone about it then make a break for it.
Valerie nodded in agreement. "Your brother is very different. He seems to overlook things that most would not." She said, noticing how he didn't seem to see Selia's inking. "It's very... sweet, for lack of a better word. I wonder why he is like that." Valerie finished, staring at the swirling patters along Selia's shoulders.
Selia smiled flirtatiously. "Are you sure about that?" She said in the same tone, stopping in the middle of the path.

Sebastian gulped hard. His hands lay on top of the saddle. He didn't look at him, his gaze rested on the leather saddle. "Yes. And I know what you're doing." he then looked at Ryan with challenging eyes. "If they come back before I go, I'll never be able to leave. You may think I'm being selfish," he trialed off as he began untying his horse. He walked back in front of Ryan. "But you have no idea." he mounted his horse and gripped the reigns.
Boothe nodded. "Yes, I know." he agreed. "He has changed dramatically since the attack." he said, not giving evidence on if he viewed it as something good or the opposite.
Valik chuckled as he was forced to stop. "Let's test it out." he said with a cocky smile. He placed his hands just below Selia's shoulders.

Selia cringed at his touch, afraid the ink would spread. But it stayed on her own skin, pulsing with her increased heartbeat. She looked at Valik with shock, and reached up to place her hand on his cheek, hesitating before actually putting her fingers to his skin. The ink that covered her hands just spun wildly, the original sparrow on her wrist diving into a rose and never returning. A slight blush covered Selia's cheeks as she looked at Valik again. "Well you've be proven right. Now what are you going to do with your power?" She asked seductively, dropping her hand from his cheek.
Valerie nodded. "What happened exactly? Ryan mentioned it to me, but didn't really explain."
Ryan just raised his hands up in surrender. "I'm not going to stop you. I just thought you might want to tell Boothe and Valik. And Selia." He said, now by the horse.

Sebastian's jaw clenched as his horse switched feet anxiously. He shook his head and with a grunt he cracked the reigns. As the horse sped off, he called "Don't expect my return." and went faster, leaning into the horse's back.
Boothe scratched his bald head, attempting to stall. He looked up at Valik and narrowed his eyes. "Sleditʹ za soboĭ." he warned. {Watch yourself.} Valik turned back for a moment, and turned back to Selia. With a sigh, he continued walking. He mumbled something in Russian and received a smack from Boothe. "Sleditʹ za soboĭ!" Boothe repeated. He let out a breath and turned to Valerie. "Sorry about that." his accent was stronger than before.

"Не беспокойтесь об этом." Valerie turned to see Selia looking confused. She laughed and just smiled reassuringly, waving her over. "We're almost back. Only 5 minutes or so." She judged, the path was getting wider now.
Selia caught up to Valik. "What made him smack you?" She asked, smirking slightly as she looked at him with a sideways glance. "And what did he say?" The foreign language fascinated her, making her wish she could speak it. Selia turned to Boothe and Valerie. "You could teach me Russian right?" She asked, honest curiosity sparkling in her eyes.
Ryan sighed and ran a hand through his hair. They'll just catch up to him. Valik is fast, so is Selia. He thought as he went to the fire and kicked the ashes, spreading them in the air.

Valik rolled his eyes. "He told me to watch myself." he replied. "I said some...not so nice words." he let out a breathy laugh. He turned back to his brother. Boothe scrunched up his lips in thought. "I don't know. Russian is a very difficult language." he observed out loud. "But I could try. And Valik could help." he smiled. Valik raised an eyebrow. "Eto zaĭmet gody!" he argued. {It will take years!} Boothe's eyes narrowed again. "Okh, zatknisʹ. Vy privyknite k etomu!" {Oh, shut up. You will get used to it!} The brothers continued to argue back and forth in their language until they returned to the camp.

Selia laughed at the brothers as they argued, Valerie translating for her. "Don't worry! I learn fast!" She was able to interject at Valik's first comment, still laughing. Valerie soon was giggling as well. "Valik you act like you wouldn't want to spend time with Selia." She commented, sending Selia into a deep blush.
Ryan saw the group and ran up to meet them. Both girls were laughing, the boys speaking in Russian. "Uhm.. Sebastian left." He said loudly, hoping to get their attention.
Valerie and Selia both snapped out of their laughter, and turned to look at Ryan. "What?" Selia almost yelled, the vines running to her fingertips running down into inky black rose branch like whips. Valerie's jaw just dropped, not only at Ryan's comment, but also at Selia. The ink had become linked into her powers, now a part of her. "Why didn't you stop him!?" Selia was really yelling now, and grabbing Ryan's shoulders. They were covered, but the ink designs still looked for skin to spread to.

Both Boothe and Valik fell silent. "Where did he go?" Boothe asked, concern in his eyes. Valik pulled at Selia's hands to get away from Ryan. Boothe looked past Ryan, searching in the distance for him. "He's already too far to where I can't hear his thoughts." he looked at Ryan frantically.

Selia let her hands drop as Boothe said he couldn't hear Sebastian. A blank expression took over her features. The swirling tattoo's stopped, and became darker in image. The roses soft curving petals became harsh, rigid lines. The vines became jagged, looking closer to shattered glass shards across Selia's skin. Ryan flinched at Selia's touch, but his eyes widened at Valik touching her. "Valik.." He said, staring at where he was touching Selia. Valerie snapped out of her shock. "Where did he go?" She repeated, dragging Ryan back to the main focus. Ryan just shook his head. "He didn't say! He just said we have no idea what he's going through, and that he isn't being selfish by doing this!"

Something snapped in Boothe. "Not being selfish?" he threw his hands up and walked to the fire. "Not being selfish!" he raised his voice. Throwing the canteen high in the sky, he breathed hard. He stared out past the city. His breathing slowly went back to normal. He looked down at his feet, seeing his medicine. He picked it up and held it tightly, staring at it for awhile. With nothing left to say, he hastily walked to his horse and climbed on. "I suppose we should continue, then." he placed the medicine in the pocket of the saddle and turned his horse with the reigns. Valik opened his mouth to object, but Boothe shot him a look before he could. Reluctantly, Valik changed to a were. His head hung low as he nudged for Selia to hop on.

Selia just shook her head and climbed onto Valik, wrapping her fingers into his fur. She let out a shaky breath. "We can go find him. You're faster then the horses right?" She whispered, barely moving her lips in hope that Valik would hear her.
Valerie and Ryan climbed onto his horse, and quickly set a fast pace for everyone to follow. "You let him go." Valerie said into his shoulders. Ryan just nodded tensely. "I'm hoping he'll come back. Boothe and Valik seem to be his family, and if it's that Crystal girl he's going back to, he should know by now we've all made sacrifices. Either she comes or she doesn't. It's that simple Valerie." His tone was harsh and cold. Valerie didn't reply, just kept her head low. Her hands held onto Ryan's shirt loosely, and she sat as far from him as she could.

Valik shook his head. He had no idea where Sebastian even went, and he hadn't learned to catch scents yet. "I wish I could." his voice trailed off. He glanced at Boothe in the corner of his eyes as he began walking. Boothe didn't hear them talking.
Sebastian sliced another neko's throat. It dropped to the floor immediately just as death sank in. A few neko bodies lay around him. Sparks flew from the neko's mechanical arms and legs. Cuts, blood and dirt covered Sebastian. As he walked towards his horse, he coughed harshly in his sleeve, and hopped on. He then rode away from the carnage.

Selia cursed under her breath in a French. "Merde." The word sounded muted from her clenched jaw. "Well hopefully he knows what he's doing." She hissed, leaning her head down into Valik's massive shoulders and closing her eyes to hear his heartbeat.
Valerie noticed Valik and Selia talking, but decided to just ignore it. She had a guess of what they were talking about, and knew she was right. They want to find him. She thought, still gripping Ryan's shirt. Ryan kept his gaze in front of him, breathing slowly. "Where are we going?" He said, turning to look at Boothe.

Boothe sighed. "I was hoping you knew." he looked around them at the different ways they could go. "Let's go north. Past the city." he turned his horse slightly left to stay out of view of the city guards. "There is a small village about seventy miles from the city. They should be untouched by the time we get there." he added. Valik sneezed as he attempted to get up Sebastian's scent, only to receive dust going into his nostrils. Boothe looked down at him. "It's no use, brother." he shook his head. "Let him go. He'll come back." he reassured. He turned forward again.

Ryan nodded. "Let's get moving then." He snapped the reigns to make the horse start a steady run, and was soon in the forest. Valerie sighed. "Ryan... did you want him to go?" She said over the wind that now blew through the trees. He never answered. Selia turned her head to look at Boothe. "How are you so sure?" She asked, innocence and confusion thick in her voice. The rose's and vines were soft, the ink fading to a grey, just as her hopes of stopping the neko's was.
