C.J. growled. "Just be careful . . . to be quite damn honest, I don't like him a bit." he said . . . coming from the more forgiving of the three, that was something to hear C.J. of all people say he hated someone . . . and Dr. Kane? Well . . . they have that boy's number.

"No one really likes him, and I /am careful/"

Kai stressed that she was careful. They reached the outskirts of Gotham in the trio's truck and Kai kept a good eye on the surroundings making sure that they were on the right route to the Wayne Manor.

C.J. smirked as they reached the outskirts. "Well just to be safe, let's just make sure we're better prepared just in case snake-boy comes back with a vengeance." he said as Arell was thinking up a plan of his own.

Kai steered into a dark street heading to the Wayne Manor just outside of town. Almost as quickly as she had gotten to them she was heading back only taking no more than 10 minutes to reach the final stretch to the mansion. She wasn't sure what the password was now for the back entrance to the cave, although she wouldn't ram the truck through the steel door.

"yea, his name is Kane Rocknell... but at least... you guys are lucky you have no powers or money or he'd be all over you guys. Although not sure why Dundee got the brunt of his attack..."

((Too lazy to jump to surrounding Gotham to Manor.))

"I dunno about POWER, but mine's a curse, che'." Arell growled, his Cajun accent rather thick as C.J. nodded his head at that name.

"Kane Rockwell?! Say . . . he was in charge of a military project! One of my dad's friends had worked on it once. Didn't say too much about it in the past . . . muttered something about his back and how he got transferred to Baton Rouge." C.J. said, thinking a little bit. "But Dundee musta gotten some bravery in 'im after all." he said, looking back at Dundee, who remained paralyzed.

Thanks for the nice words, but I'd like to say I wasn't leavin' 'cause I was scared, but because of you two assholes! I think I'd be a lot safer with Kai! She at least drives somewhat safer! Dundee thought.

While Kane was being tracked he stopped to take a breather possibly before fixing his wounds. He removed his jacket and found a small black tracer much like a Gothomite would use. He quickly picked it off and tossed it out the window into the next building. He then quickly stitched up a few holes, stretched a bit to regain some energy and disappeared into the darkness of Gotham using the Narrows as his escape. He left behind in the room he was in a small grade bomb attached with a chemical that would cause hallucinations and aggression in any biological being as a small gift to anyone who stumbled upon it. The bomb would only activate if it is tripped or touched.

As the trio of vigilantes closed in on where the tracker signal stopped, Macready held up a hand to slow the other two, "Either Dr. Chimera found the bug, or he's laying in ambush. Watch out."

Jinx slowed up, beginning to fan out to the right, and glanced toward Nightwing for additional instructions.

[ENTER Arell, Abby and Tim from Wayne Manor]

Tim watched out the side window of the truck as Arell drove them closer to the city. He thought for some time before pulling out the comm device from his pocket and setting the frequency with what 'Future Batman' had given him. He paused, remembering what 'Batman' had said. In emergencies, was what he said about calling him. There was nothing severe happening to the party of three, and hopefully it would stay that way as they patrolled. He set the communicator back down and looked back out the window.

Arell rolled down his window, putting his heavily tattooed arm out the window, resting it on the door panel. If he wasn't wearing that duster jacket, Abby and Tim would see the ink the man had. Probably too much to be looking like one of the stereotypical "good guys" . . . then again, he also did many things like the "boy scout" heroes like Superman would probably reprimand him for, as probably seen by the empty can of beer in one of the cupholders, a demolished pack of cigarettes, and the Megadeth/Stray Cats mixtape chillin' in the stereo, which Red Cardinal turned off last trip.

"Sorry 'bout de mess in heah. Y'all need anything?" he asked, settling in for the long haul as the truck entered the city.

"Nah, sir, I'm good." Abby said to Arell. "I'm kinda used t' this sorta environment, really. Me oldest brother Aiden, he drinks and smokes and drives a pick-up, so I'm used to this."
PostPosted: Sat Mar 17, 2012 4:20 pm

That name struck a nerve. "Aiden? Dat name sounds VERY familiar . . . but usually when I meet peeps, I'm also VERY drunk . . . 'cept now, che'." he said with a smirk. Of course, he was tempted to get a beer or two down at Pierside Joe's or something just for kicks, but they had to work.

"No worries, che'. Sounds like a real nice guy." he said.

Tim glanced in the truck a moment, looking to Arell and Abby. He wasn't about to state that he wasn't used to this environment, partly because he wasn't particularly uncomfortable in it. Instead he listened as he kept his eyes mainly out the windows, also rolling down the one on his side of the truck.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 17, 2012 4:48 pm

Arell noticed Tim was a little . . . too uptight. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a hip flask. "Heah, slim. You'll ease up a bit wit' dis, che'." he said. Of course what he failed to mention was it was bootleg Moonshine whiskey. No problem. He sounds a'right. he thought.

Tim turned and looked at the flask before taking a hold of it. He opened the cap and instantly could smell the alcohol. This caused him to sit back in the seat and scrunch his nose.

"Ah, sorry... I don't drink."

He could tell that whatever this was it was very strong, but instead of persuing that his thoughts jumped to what Arell had said. "Ease up"? Did Tim look worried or anxious about something? Well, with all the happenings it wasn't hard to find something upsetting to think about, but Robin didn't realize how obvious he was. Tim smiled to show his appreciation for the cajun's concern anyway.

"-Thanks, I'm fine."

The boy took a deep breathe after closing up the flask. Maybe "fine" wasn't the right thing to say, but at least he was more relaxed compared to recent times.
