"Alright, with you two dealing with the noble, I guess this means that I will be dealing with the Encroaching army, the quicksand will hold them for a little, but not forever." says Thanatos as he looks around surveying the battlefield.
"Archers, concentrate all fire on the close group of Elves, bring them down! Infantry form up behind me" With this last command Thanatos marches to the front of the army to head off the elven unit (with the infantry behind him...I hope.)
(Ohh yea the bluff that i had was because I had no idea whether or not the elven commander was a noble with magical armor or not. Therefore i lied about it to ensure that people wouldnt charge straight after him. It wasnt as thought I acctually knew it.)

Lloish takes the offered scroll with a flourish. "It looks like Thanatos will be holding things down here. Let's make haste."
After a moment, he yells over the fray to Thanatos "When I get closer to the noble, I'll call in a bank of fog to cut his vision off. When I do that, loose the fire arrows. He won't be able to see the damage being done to his troops, but he might see the blaze. And it'll spook him."

((still waiting on the results of the spot check I made to determine whether or not the terrain is "difficult". If he believes the battlefield a difficult terrain, he will move into "Step of Wind" stance which negates difficult terrain, otherwise he will use the "Child of Shadow" stance to grant concealment when he moves 10 or more feet. Assuming a stance is a swift action.))

Free action: Sursqueek yells to the frontline infantry to hold firm and alert.
Then turning to Lloish and Nepah says, "Lets move out to meet our foe."

Move action: He then move 35 feet towards the Noble's position or to within 7 feet of the enemy lines (assuming there isn't a clear path to the Noble)

Free action: notes the position of enemy troops for a weak point in the line and if he finds one, points it out to Lloish and Nepah as the place they will attempt to break through.

Standard action: Casts obscuring mist. A cloud of mist seems to form from almost nowhere. It creeps into existance like a snake slithering silent and smoothly into sight, granting concealment to any targets surrounded by more than five feet of the fog and partial concealment to closer targets. The mist flows about and covers a roughly spherical area with a 20 foot radius centered on Sursqueek.

Free action: When Lloish reaches him, Sursqueek asks him to activate the scroll focused on an area about 6 feet to the left of the point he possibly specified earlier. If he couldn't find a weak point earlier, he specifies that they should skirt the edge of the swarm. If there were no troops at all ahead of them, he doesn't say anything.
((woot! no checks required!))

Lloish follows Susqueek at a run, keeping his head low. When he catches up, he activates the summon swarm scroll, targeting the tree-line to the left of where he cast his entangle.

(summon swarm is aimed forty feet away, pointed at the tree line. It will last for 2 + concentration check rounds, and generate spiders. Concentration is +2)

Eying the Scaven's comparatively smaller, comparatively stubbier legs, Lloish drops to one knee and indicates his own shoulders. "Hop on. We will travel considerably faster this way."

(move is up to 40ft base for a few hours with longstrider. At a run, I can cover a substantial amount of distance per turn and Susqueek can still make attack actions. Sorta like a fuzzy turret.)

(ne pah's back with the infantry. He'd be a little bit of a liability in the middle of the fray, and Loish can sense things through him. So, any commands that need to be relayed to Lloish can be told to the snake.)

Lloish attempts to help the struggling Scaven onto his back. (strength check -1)

(well, that's a start. I'm getting awful low of spells, though)

Lloish sets Ne Pah, the boa constrictor, down behind cover. "Stay here. Be good. Hold the line," he tells her. He waits for the advancing unit of elves to get within point blank range of our archers and casts soften earth underneath them, turning the dirt into quick-mud. He then orders our archers to finish them.

(soften earth is four feet deep, and can have a radius of up to 60 feet. Needless to say, I'm only casting the spell wide enough to catch the advancing unit of elves in it. I'm not attempting to mire our troops as well. Creatures move through quick mud at half speed, and must reflex DC 17 every turn to avoid getting stuck for 1d2 turns, unable to move or act.)

the front lines fall into it fast, as you dont get very fleet of foot in full charge. The later four lines march OVER their fallen comrades. ((no love there.))

"We must do not too small amount of things in a short amount of time if this is to work...I'll ask you to hold onto the smoke maker, and this as well."

He pulls a scroll out of his case and hands it to Lloish

"Scrolls can be almost as much fun as Alchemy at times, that one will summon a swarm of insects and other under-appreciated creatures. A bank of fog is going to roll in and we are going to use it as cover, from there activate the scroll to call some friends on the enemy, which should serve as a decent distraction. If not I've got some more mayham to add, but I'd rather spend the time moving. When we get to the woods, trigger the smoke maker and it should give us decent cover, but the leader should be well outlined even in the fog. If we are quick, we may be able to capture instead of kill."
Sursqueek surveys the terrain and as he looks around, remembers Thanatos and his horse.
"Of course it might be best if we simply cover Thanatos's departure and hold the front here, but then three are better than one for some things...If you are coming however, It would probably be best if you used the smoke maker, so Lloish can focus on knocking our well dressed friend out for a nap. Is everyone at ready?"
((the look around is a spot check for travel difficulty across the battlefield, would it cause slower movement, etc. 13+12=25)

it'll be a long haul even with distraction, but possible, if not without a few bruises and bumps...

With archers, there is never a clear 'weak spot', but open gaps in the line are apparent. And face down dying elves...
With the cloud comes commotion from the elven lord's group

(nice description. pity most people cant see it...)
in any case, the concentration is aided by the fog and easily succeeds

FAILURE. you're not much help, but he gets on. ((Next time just claim 'assisting with skill' which means he gets a +2 as long as its not rushed a ton))

((just out of curiosity, does Lloish's back count as "difficult terrain"? if so I recieve no penalties for moving on it due to "step of wind" stance))
Sursqueek suggests that they move through one of the breaks in the line as fast as possible while the smoke and critters destract them.
((run at X5 normal speed an we should cover a decent distance. I'll guard for you grating whatever AC bonus having a crazy rat-man on your back gives. And I'll throw stuff at them. I'm only joking about step of wind, however I would imagine while it won't let me dance on his back without penalty, it might help me act relatively normally without penalty))

Lloish takes off at a run, ducking and weaving as he heads for the treeline. He starts off heading directly forward, then veers sharply and aims for the area that he entangled before. Because of the way he cast the spell, the trees there shouldn't be looking for any new prey and most of the archers should be distracted.
Once there, he will proceed through the forest as fast as possible, while still trying to keep a low profile.

(run speed: 200 feet, assisted by woodland stride and trackless step, to cancel penalties for moving through the terrain and prevent us from being followed.)

With the infantry formed up behind him (or so I hope cause Topaz didnt comment on it) Thanatos leads them towards the charging elven horde, first at a steady march, then once they get closer he shouts "Charge" and has them burst into an all out run.
(Question: Is the smoke kind of obscuring my view, or the elves that I am charging at, cause I dont really know where they used the smoke thingy, so im not really sure where it covers.)
