“I’m ok,” the lie came easy enough when her worry for Wolframite overshadowed her own fear of their current situation.

The dragon roared loudly above the carnival music and for a long moment she felt very thankful for Tinaksite’s calm and strong presence while they two of them spiraled into momentary madness of their own making. Laven gave the female Captains hand a shaky squeeze with one of her own webbed hands as she stood up beside them.

Her stomach churned aggressively as the heat made if feel as if her blood was boiling. Yes, she loved warmth but this was too much. Her own nature co-existed in natural opposition to the fiery beast but she was only a half youma and a whelpling of a lieutenant at that; a water droplet amidst a forest fire, insignificant in its own right and because of that she feared what would happen if it got any closer and she switched forms again.

Like a child she glanced between Tinaksite and Wolframite looking to them both for strength.

Would she evaporate into nothingness and simply cease existing? At least there wouldn’t be a gory scene or burnt carcass for anyone to find. Still, it wasn’t exactly the way she wanted to go.

“Burnt fur isn’t exactly a pleasant smell,” Laven’s attempt at humor came off more as a statement than anything funny as she touched his elbow in a silent request to not run off so quickly especially since they both had a legitimate reason to fear the flames.

She glanced over as other officers and senshi began pushing rocks and debris into the chasm; some resulted in large plums of smoke and ash but whatever they were doing appeared to be causing the ground beneath the dragon to quake. “We should follow their lead.” Her voice was quiet as she nodded her head in the direction of a small cat that was being more active in fighting than she currently was.

It was a risk, but one worth taking, as her form shifted. Between her hands Laven summoned an orb of similar shape and size to the one she had dropped on him a moment ago but this one held its form. A few paces away was a medium sized rock which she threw the globe at. It moved closer to the edge and with one more arching swing of the water ball, it fell into the chasm sending a rippling wave along the ground.

Tinaksite

To say that Tinaksite was confused, would have been a major understatement. Though, it seemed that her confusion was the only thing that was really keeping her going in this situation. There was no reason to panic when you had no real idea what was going on…right? And it looked as though Laven had managed to help Wolf when she…turned into water, because that was completely and utterly normal…

At that point, Tinaksite decided that this was a dream. There was a dragon, a wolf man and her best friend could become water, so what else could, or would it be?

She looked around, her expression mild and almost bored now as she saw people throwing things onto the ground and with a shrug of her shoulders, she began to throw rocks right along with them. “I have decided…that this is just a dream. There is clearly no real danger.” Her words were said with confidence, and she looked at Laven and gave a grin. “Dragons do not exist!”

Arnica's eyes remained trained on Lacerta as she demonstrated; when the boulder rolled into the chasm he had mixed feelings about it. On one hand--yes, it had an effect. On the other hand, the tremor that ran through the ground sent a chill up his spine and reminded him that they had no idea what they were doing, no idea what they were working with.

Others seemed to have the same idea though, and he had to trust that they had experience where he didn't yet.

He moved towards the nearest sizable boulder and pushed with all his strength. It rolled into the chasm, erupting into a small plume of smoke.

A small wave of dread fluttered through him again, but he was persistent; he wasn't going to stop there. "Good call," he said, moving towards another. "I'm worried about the ground crumbling, if these tremors keep up. Don't get too close to the edge if you can help it, I don't think my magic will do us any favors if either of us fall in."
