Miluiel's attention was drawn away as one of the pups tripped and fell to the ground. This was quickly followed by a howl of pain. Miluiel rushed over to the pup who had fallen. She rested a gentle hand on the pup's head, gently pushing back the hair on top of his head. She spoke soft words of encouragement and asked to see his hands and knees. She found a few little scratches, but nothing worth too many tears. With gentle lips she kissed the spots where the skin was scratched. She used the moisture of the skin to heal over the wounds. She then sat back and smiled at the pup. "Feeling better?" She asked. The pup nodded and jumped to his feet to run off. She remained kneeling for a moment longer as she watched the youth run off to join his waiting friends.
Shera took the bone needle in her small hand and held it to the cloth. With a sigh she began to thread it through the cloth like her aunt said. She just wanted to get this boring chore over with.

"Excuse me for a moment." Azrael said as he went over to his wife after hearing the pup's howl. He saw the little one run off to his friends and turned to Miluiel. "Is everything alright?" He asked her.
Shana watched Shera work on the patch until she was about halfway done and placed a hand on her little shoulder. "Alright, you've done your part." She told her niece sweetly. Shana looked over to Shinn. "Now you come over here and finish with this," she told him, "and then you two will be free to go."
Shinn then gently took the needle and thread from his sister, who he could see just wanted it to be finished, as he did, and started to work at it. He was clearly having a great deal of difficulty managing the thread in his large hands. He made several wordless complaints as he struggled to push and regrip the needle effectively.
Shana looked at her nephew sternly. "Look, Shinn. I know you don't like changing your form, but if your having so much difficulty handling the needle, then just change!" He said to him. "If we could get everything done in our wolf forms then we wouldn't have the ability to change in the first place."
Shinn groaned and nodded. "Okay, okay! I'll change!" Shinn caved as he shut his eyes and concentrated on taking his "human" form. Now appearing as a lean young boy, he took the needle in his hands and started to work on the patch, muttering under his breath incoherently.

Miluiel watched the pup until he and his group ran over a nearby hill. She looked up at her husband and nodded. "Yes, Azrael, Everything is fine now. The pups were just playing a bit too hard. I think he was more scared than hurt, but he's all better now." She said with a bright, sweet smile. She offered her hand to him hoping he would help her up.
Shera looked over her shoulder at Shinn. She smiled slightly, her own way of begging her brother to obey and help with the chore. "It's not that bad once you get into it Shinn." She told him.
Shera watched Shinn as he worked. Then she got an idea. "Hey, I saw mamma earlier in her human form with that one elf man. We should surprise him and show him that we can do that too! I bed mommy and daddy would be pleased with us Shinn! She exclaimed.

Azrael smiled back at Miluiel. "They'll be fine. It'll teach them to be more cautious in the future." He said to her. Azrael turned back Lauvel and grinned apologetically. "Sorry about that," he said, "just had to clear something up. But we're almost at the house." He said, gesturing to their house.
Shinn looked up at his sister and nodded. "Yeah! Let's do that!" He said in agreement with Shera's plan. He then put his attention back into patching the tent and finished not long after. "Is this good?" He asked his aunt.
Shana examined the patch and nodded. "Very good you two!" She said with a smile. "You both did a very good job! You're mother and father will be happy to learn that you can do this." She said to them. "You can go run off now, if you'd like." She told them, pleased.

Miluiel smiled back at their guest. She smiled and gestured Lauvel forward. "Please excuse me." She said softly with a courteous bow. "I just felt the need to attend to the situation. Motherly instinct." She said with a soft laugh. She waited for the men to step ahead of her, and she would follow along behind. She felt bad that her husband felt the need to apologize for her.
Shera jumped up and down clapping her soft, pale, human hands together. "Come on Shinn!" She exclaimed and reached out to take her brother's hand. "Let's go meet the strange man!" She exclaimed and began to pull Shinn off in the direction of the exit. "See you later Auntie Shana!" She shouted.

Azrael suppressed another pained expression. Miluiel hadn't needed to explain her action, as he was the one that was apologizing for his own actions. If she had needed to do something then she did not need to explain herself to anyone. As he himself had not been necessary to help, his leaving his guest would have been an act very close to rudeness for a werewolf, and thus demanded an apology. Again the cultural difference between them had brought about a misunderstanding and he would need to make that up to Miluiel. "Here we are!" He said gesturing to the house, and then holding the flap open for Miluiel and their guest."
"Oh it was no worry! Please don't worry too much about it!" He insisted to his hosts earnestly. He had not been bothered by any of it, and it gave him a moment to take in the forest around them.
Shinn smiled and followed after his sister. "Yeah, see you later!" He chimed as he was lead out of the tent. He kept pace with his sister, happy to be up and moving, letting her lead them.

Miluiel banished her thoughts for a moment as she stepped into the tent. Once inside she hurriedly rushed forward to move some things around to make room around the fire to sit.
Shera ran along the familiar path to her home den. She was quite excited and both hopeful that the stranger was at her home. Giggling she came into view of the house. "Daddy!" She called out to her father in a high pitched voice. "Daddy! We fixed Auntie Shana's tent!" She shouted as she came even closer to her father and her home.

Azrael's face beamed with pride at the sound of his daughter coming close. A look that only became more intense in it's pride when he saw that both of his children had learned to change their form at such a young. He was especially proud of his daughter, who had managed it at only her young age. "Excellent!" He called back to Shera, kneeling so that he would be ready to embrace her when she got close enough, "I am very glad that you two have learned your responsibility at such a young age." He said proudly, unable to contain it.
As Lauvel stepped inside he heard the sound of a little girl's voice calling out and soon spotted Shera and Shinn barreling toward the house. He smiled at the sight of them. "So these are their Children. It will be a first among many of the elves to see both of them." He thought intrigued by the sight.

Miluiel heard her children as they approached the tent. Their voices were now clearer. She turned around just in time to see Azrael kneel to the ground to accept the children into a loving embrace. She smiled, looking back at the perfect family picture, the picture she knew her father would be happy to see. She sighed and shook her head. She was so happy here with Azrael. It made her so happy to look into the smiling faces of her family. This was where she belonged.
Stepping up beside Lauvel she placed a hand gently on his shoulder. "I am happy you got to see them this way. Shinn especially doesn't like his human form. Hopefully, however, he will be okay with it by the time we come and visit. I'm sure they will have a great time back home. I can't wait to take them there." She said in a pleased tone. She sighed happily once more and dropped her hand down to her side.

She squealed in joy as she fell into him and snuggled close to his warm body. She loved daddy's hugs. He always made them super fun. She expected nothing less now. "Daddy!" she cheered and hugged him tightly. She began to giggle just thinking about the enthusiasm of her papa's hug.

"You have a very beautiful family, Miluiel." Lauvel told her approvingly of the sight before him. "Many at home would be quite jealous, I would say."
Azrael scooped Shera into his arms and spun on his heel happily. "Well, isn't this a sight?" He said to his daughter. Shinn came through the door at that point, and he transferred Shera into a sitting position on one arm, while he tousled Shinn's hair with his free hand. "It makes me so proud to see you teaching yourselves how to change. Speaking of teaching, how were your lessons with Veral?" He asked his daughter.
Shinn caught sight of Lauvel as he stepped into the house, and bowed respectfully to him.

"Thank you Lauvel." Miluiel said softly. "They make up the perfect family. I love them all so dearly, and if anything were to happen. I would be heartbroken." She said in the same soft voice. Miluiel nodded approvingly in Shinn's direction. She hoped that her son would catch the gesture so that he would know his politeness wouldn't go unnoticed."They were wonderful papa!" Shera said as she tossed her arms excitedly up into the air. "Uncle Veral showed us so much today! Shinn was amazing too! We both did really well." She told her father. Shera closed her eyes and sighed. She was trying to focus so she could show her father one of the thing she had learned in her earlier lessons. She held up a small human hand and began to focus her energy into the center. Pretty soon she felt warmth flood the area, and a pretty blue flame burst up from her hand. She opened her eyes and looked over at her father. "See Daddy! Look what I learned today!"

Azrael grinned broadly, his fangs flashing in approval. "Now would you look at that... You are amazing, my beautiful Shera." He said to his daughter. Azrael turned and smiled at his wife, turning so that Shera and her flame would be easy to see from Miluiel's position.
Shinn looked up at his mother and hid a smile nervously. There hadn't been so many outsiders in the village since the days when he had first met his current mother.
Lauvel returned Shinn's bow and smiled at him. "Greetings, young Shinn. I hear many great things about you, you know. Your grandfather tells many stories of his daughter's family." This was true, King Talithan liked to talk about his daughter at any opportunity during feasts or whenever the chance presented itself. He was quite proud of his daughter.

Miluiel looked at what her daughter was showing Azrael. She appreciated that her husband moved so she could better see her daughter's work. "Very good job Shera! I am so proud of you!" Miluiel said energetically. She smiled back at her husband and nodded her thanks. Kneeling she asked Shinn, "Honey, would you like to show us something that you learned today?" Reaching out she ruffled his hair slightly.
She smiled over at Lauvel. "Is he, really?" Miluiel asked in a thoughtful tone. "That makes me feel very happy." She loved her father, he was very understanding. Her mother didn't see things in quite the same fashion
Shera closed her hand, dousing the flame, and leaned forward to wrap her arms around her father's neck. "Do you like it?" She asked excitedly. "Uncle Veral is a really great teacher!" She exclaimed happily.
