Especially jr. high and high school students. Smart mouthed bastards. I used to like kids, but being an elementary education major cured me of that. (I am now a happy English major and have no intention of teaching.) Jr high kids comprise about 90% of the evil in the world as far as I'm concerned. They are bigger and they look kind of like adults, but they possess no logic whatsoever. xp The definition of futility? Trying to reason with a jr high kid.

Because here the Jr. high students still look like kids, and now that I think of it, so do the high school students. I always hear people say that kids are getting bigger these days, but unless that's another way of saying "they're fat" (which we don't have nearly as big a problem of here in Canada) I just don't see it. They're all short and skinny with no mass to them whatsoever. Most of them weigh like 110-120 pounds when they're 15 years old, if they're lucky. I was like 140 when I was 14. No guy past the age of 10 should be able to fit in a pair of skinny jeans for two reasons: 1. Your legs should not be so skinny that you can get them on. My ex tried to get me to try a pair on one time and I couldn't get them past my knees. My calves were as big as the thighs on those things. 2. Your testicles should never be stuffed into something like that. It's just cruel.

I barely weigh a hundred. emo
Guys who wear skinny jeans properly seriously creep me out. I see a bunch of guys lowride them past their a**, and that I understand. But guys who have their skinnies sitting on their hips make me shudder and look away.
How the hell are those things comfortable? How the hell do they move in them? gonk
I mean, I wear jeans one size larger so I can actually bend properly in them after I've got my cellphone and MP3 player in the pockets. Plus those 2 things pressing against my hipbones or digging into my leg while I'm sitting isn't very comfortable.
I really don't get the gangster/skinnyjean fad that's going around nowadays. I really don't.

I've never seen people wear them down their a**. I just don't understand how anyone can have legs that skinny. I mean I look at most of these people and my calf is as big or bigger than their thigh. I've never liked the gangster style either. I hate having to walk with my legs spread in splits so that my pants don't fall off. Or having to pull my pants up every second step because they're so loose. I like loose pants, but only in the legs. Something that will move with me but won't constrict, and fits around the waist. Is it really so much to ask for?

I think we're going to have to post in the forum a little more. xP It's hard to bring a guild to life if you only post in one thread.

It's almost too comfortable just posting in one thread though. blaugh
What I meant was that just because their bodies are getting bigger, it doesn't mean that they are getting any wiser. I agree that most jr high kids are still pretty small, but they grow rapidly. (Too bad their reasoning skills don't grow rapidly also.) Just in my opinion jr high kids are worse than high school kids. Middle school was my own personal hell on Earth. xp But now that I'm 23, I look back on all of the high school kids and think that they look so small! It's gets worse the older I get.
I don't understand the skinny/gangster pants either. I like regular pants that just fit without constricting or falling down to my ankles. Skinny jeans weren't big when I was in high school, but the big baggy pants were. I remember one day walking to my bus after school, and seeing a guy's baggy pants just fall down to his ankles in front of everybody. He pulled up his pants halfway up his butt and kept walking. Does that even make sense? I mean, if your pants just hit the ground, wouldn't you do your best to keep your pants from falling again?

I know. xP I think that's part of the reason this guild died to begin with. We all only posted here. Out of curiosity, how would everyone feel about changing the guild from strictly anime/manga to including western animation and comics as well?
I've never really had many interactions with Jr. High students so I can't really say. But the high school students are small in size and have even smaller brains. Whenever I hear "Children are our future" it scares me. The world is an awful place already, it's scary to think about what they'll do to make it worse.
Even worse about that is that that's not the first time that's happened to him. I'd wager that day too.

Good luck staying awake Kenny! Btw, did you start that medicine that you were describing yet?
Skippy, I just saw your picture in the photo thread, and now I understand why everyone seems small compared to you. blaugh And yeah, it scares me too when they say that children are our future. Given, they will grow up and mature later on; but to imagine them as teenagers being our leaders is unbearable. xp
I doubt it would do any good to change the categorization of this guild. We don't really stay on the topic of anime much at all. If anything, this is more of a general guild. I haven't really seen many western cartoons since I was a kid, so I wouldn't know what to talk about outside of cartoons such as Darkwing Duck and Goof Troop. I became addicted to anime when I was in the 4th or 5th grade (Robotech and Voltron got me hooked), and since then just about everything else on tv paled in comparison. But recently, I have been watching a few miniseries that are really good. Not too long ago, I started watching on called "Young Blades" about the next generation of the Three Musketeers.

Who needs sleep anyway, it's not like it's a wonderfully enjoyable thing. And not yet, I've been so busy I haven't had time to follow up with my doctor about it yet.

I was thinking it was about time, so that's why I was asking. You might not need sleep, but I do. If I can't sleep at night, I crash as soon as I get home and I take a long nap. Currently, the only thing that is keeping me going is the knowledge that we will be discussing Faustus in class today. It is the basis for Goethe's Faust, and it was written in the 16th century. biggrin

It's not really a bad habit if people keep posting here. I mean, just look at how this guild was a few months ago. There was a new post about once every two or three weeks. sweatdrop We have definitely made a significant improvement.
