I got a pair of awesome boots yesterday for an extremely discounted price. The problem is I don't know when I'd ever wear them because I rarely wear skirts (maybe like twice in a year, or so).
They're mid-calf length, lace-up white lolita boots. Any suggestions on how I could wear them without looking really weird?
Image (surprisingly I found an image of them online, haha): http://lynleigh.com/pictures/lolitaboots.jpg

You could wear them to uh...places and things?
Yeah I'm going to stop trying. Me and fashion don't exactly get along. My nicest shirt has a skull on it. And the only reason it's my nicest shirt is because it has a collar and buttons.

Hey, don't say that. If I had that shirt, I'd wear it all the time. I love clothes like that, ahaha.
Does it usually snow in October where you are? I wish it snowed here already. I swear it's cold enough to this year.

The two of you are getting snow? eek It's still t-shirt weather over here. sweatdrop I wish that we did get some cold weather though. I've always been fond of it for some reason.
I'm sorry to hear about your harddrive Skippy. sad
Sarcastic, those boots are cute! 4laugh But, they look normal enough that you could get away with wearing them with just about anything.

Not snowing here just yet. It should about mid-November though. surprised Can't wait. I love snow. As long as it's not a blizzard, anyway.
Thanks! 4laugh I was thinking of changing the laces from white to black so there's a little bit more colour (or lack of) on them. Would that be a good idea?

Does it usually snow in October where you are? I wish it snowed here already. I swear it's cold enough to this year. Well keep in mind that's my nicest shirt, and I only have one like it. All of my other shirts either have some kind of saying on them like "Everyday I think people can't get any stupider, and everyday I'm proven horribly wrong." and most of them have holes in them. The ones that don't have a saying on them have animals (I only have two like that though, I need more). For the most part I look like my avi xD. Except my beard isn't full like that, and I don't patch up my pants when I get a rip in them. I just let the rip get bigger until the pants are useless or until I'm forced to make them into cut-off shorts. And yeah it usually snows a bit in October, but normally it happens closer to the end of October. It normally snows on or near Halloween, and Halloween has a habit of being cold and windy as hell.

That sounds like a good idea if you are planning on doing a black and white outfit. If you want to be less conspicuous, go with white. It's kind of funny that I'm giving out fashion advice. I mostly just wear my collection of sarcastic t-shirts and jeans. blaugh Skippy, be grateful that you get snow. You don't know what you've got until you move to the deep south and never see. wink

You don't know what you've got until you move to the deep south and never see. wink Try living here for a winter then see how you feel about the snow we get. xd It's one thing if you live in BC or pretty well anywhere else in Canada. But Winnipeg is something in and of itself. But I guess it would be the same kind of thing if I went down to the states in winter. Like when we went to Orlando in February. It was super hot outside (like 27-28 degrees or something, I don't remember it was years ago), and we would always drive by an outdoor water park on the way to the hotel, and it was closed. I was young and didn't get it (still don't actually) and I asked "Why isn't the water park open? It's super hot outside you would think there'd be lots of people there." and my parents said "You would think, but to the people here it's winter and it's too cold to go to the water park." That's still beyond me. It's 30 degrees outside and people are in long pants and sweaters and coats, and they look at my family who're all in t-shirts and shorts like we're crazy.

@Skippy: I'd wear shorts if I actually liked wearing them. gonk It's long pants (mostly jeans) for me, all year 'round. But people actually do wear short shorts during the winter here.
I remember meeting up with a friend from Florida a few years ago at a convention in Ohio during January. It was kinda chilly, pretty much the same weather we'd get here in Toronto minus the snow, so I was wearing a jacket. My friend wore a tshirt and everyone looked at him like he was crazy. xD
@chibi: It's alright. xD That's usually me, but add a hoodie ontop of those clothes.

I can actually explain everything about that Skippy! blaugh When you live in an area where it's always comparatively warm, you take any excuse you can to pretend that it's cold. We like to pretend that we have a real winter. sweatdrop By now swimming during the winter, we make a distinction between our pseudo-winter and all of the other seasons. lol I will admit to swimming in January, but somehow that just doesn't sit well with me.
Sarcastic, we pull out the warm clothes when the temperature gets down to 20 degrees Celsius. rofl
