While thats true, that doesnt mean thats all they're going to do. Spartans were functional because the entire army was comprised of combat geniuses, not just the leader.
If you could give that spell a little more 'oomph' and maybe placed their INT at around 18-20, we'd be dealing with actual Spartans. Otherwise you have well...rots that know how to hold a sword and shield.

Chaplain Fenix I thought that's pretty much all they were. I thought they were supposed to be ressurrected Spartans. Well! My intimidation factor just hit the floor.

Didn't the spell say they retain any special traits and stuff they had while they were alive as well?
So basically their still spartan spartans. Just undead ones too.
Anyways, its whatever Ben says.
Not everyone follows the DnD rulebooks.

8-10 is average.
11-12 is very.
13-14 is high.
15-16 is exceptional.
17-18 is genius.
19-20 is supra-genius.
21+ is godlike.

Naw, it said racial traits. Thats totally different, it also said they get to keep feats they had like proficiencies, but I can be proficient in every weapon under the sun, its useless if I dont have the brains to use them.
But your right, its up Ben. Kraun was the one to bring up the DnD spell, I figure you use a DnD spell, you use DnD rules.
