"Sorry, kid, but that's how it works in this world, this... cruel world. Naive kids like you only make it worse... It ain't pretty!" he told her as he motioned the scarred side of his face towards her.

He took a few steps back and placed the coin between his thumb and index finger, he flung it in the air, the coin spiraling high. It landed firmly in his palm, it was tails. He looked over to the girl, a maniacal grin shown.

"Any last words?" he asked.

"Yeah, actually..." Abby said, still a bit nervous. "The Celtic mother-goddess I told ya about? Her husband, the all-father, blessed me with constant good luck since before I was born, or at least that's what I was told. So try and hit me, I guess."

"Good luck? Ha! There is no such thing as good luck! You are even more naive than I thought. This'll be quite... fun," he said.

Two-Face then proceeded to pullout a .38 Special revolver from his coat. He cocked the pistol and aimed it directly at her.

"It was interesting while it lasted..." with that he fired.

Abigail flinched and closed her eyes, expecting to hear a gunshot at the very least, but the bullet from the pistol... jammed.

((HA!! Jammed guns suck, don't they! XD))

Meanwhile, Arell and the guys waited for Dundee to slip back to his idiot self or to form some sort of a plan, which they usually counted on not following anyway, but hey, it works in the movies, right?

"Boy, dis is gonna be interestin'." Arell said, slugging down a cup of coffee.

"Well, we just had a Dundee smart moment . . . anyone wanna place bets on when the next one happens?" C.J. asked. Jonah put down a couple dollars on the table.

"Ten bucks says he helps out with the plan." Jonah said, C.J. smirking.

"Double he breaks the other mirror on the batmobile." C.J. said.

"Dat remin's me . . . Dundee, what's dis about a mirror?" Arell asked Dundee, the light on, but nobody home.

"What mirror?" Dundee replied.

Two-Face, obviously bemused as well, examined the gun over and over again. His thugs looked to each other with confusion in their eyes.

"Ughh... boss? You ain't gonna shoot?" one of the thugs asked.

"Shut up! I did shoot! The damn gun jammed on me, you fool," he stated; The thug didn't dare to open his mouth again.

However, some of the thugs began to believe in the girl and what she had said earlier. Perhaps luck was on her side. Two-Face, on the other hand, was anything but accepting the truth. He tossed away the revolver, only to pulled out another one. This time he made sure it wasn't jam-prone.

"You think that was luck? Think again!" he shouted as he fired once more.

Abby covered her ears; the gunshots were very loud and she didn't have any ear protection. However, as she flinched, the bullets seemed to just miss her, skirting past her by scant millimeters. When it was over, she opened a single eye.

"I... I'm not dead yet? Not even a scratch?" she asked breathlessly, genuinely surprised.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 15, 2011 7:24 pm

And just like that, everyone gasped, even Harvey himself. It was unbelievable, how? Two-Face was well known for his marksmanship and his ability to use a gun properly. How could he have missed those point blank shots?

"H-How!? HOW!?!?" he shouted at the top of his lungs. "How could some little twerp like you dodge those bullets? From this close!?"

Could it have been this 'Celtic god' that caused this? Was Abigail right about having good luck all the time? Two-Face wasn't going to accept that no matter what. Out of his fit of anger, he tossed the gun away and glared down at her.

"I ain't gonna believe you. Good luck is just something your mommy and daddy tell you in order to be good. Ha!" he mocked.

He then motioned his thugs, who were armed with bats, crowbars, and knifes to finish her off. They did so without hesitation and began to attack the girl.

Abby screamed, and as the thugs appeared and started swinging, the "good luck field" around Abby switched off, although she didn't know this. The guards, apparently not very bright, began hitting each other on accident while just barely missing Abigail each time they swung for her. The frightened Irish teen backed away, and started to run.

"You're all worthless piles of--" Two-Face paused as he noticed the young girl run away from the chaos.

He grunted and clenched his teeth hard in a fit of anger. He looked down to his shoes, picking up his revolver again and reloading it. This twerp has now caused enough troubles for him. He pushed aside the thugs as he made his way through them, chasing after the girl before she could get away. To believe that she, a little girl, caused this mess. It was bad enough when Batman was around.

"GET OVER HERE!" he shouted.

Meanwhile, Smitty waited. Eschewing the chloroform and rag idea for a few sleeping darts. Perhaps with Bozo staying back at the safehouse, he could finally get Arell . . . with his little girlfriend being just icing on the cake. He paused for a minute. What about the punk's little brother? Or the other two guys he saw walk in? He sneered. Just extra witnesses he'd have to whack . . .

Meanwhile, C.J. paused. Something he saw outside the fourth wall disturbed him. He decided to keep it to himself. Jesus . . . Arell made some enemies while I was gone! he thought as he leaned against the wall, sucking on a toothpick, watching the actions play out between the southern Bounty Hunters and the "Batman" . . . and to think, for some people this was a once-in-a-lifetime deal, but for them, this was Tuesday.

User Image d**k walked up behind Smitty, having seen him from the road as he was heading past. "What the hell are you doing in a grave yard?"

d**k eyed him a bit and shook his head. "You Southerners are sure some strange people."

Meanwhile Crystal peaked from out of the kitchen as the red light above the TV went blinked again. "Who the hell could be out there now?"

After washing her hands she walked over and turned on the TV, on it was d**k Valentine and Smitty. "I don't know who that guy is, but I think I may have come across the cute one before." Crystal grinned devilishly as she spoke about d**k.

Smitty looked over at the competition and frowned. "I followed 'em here. They're hiding, and once they get out in the clear, I'M gonna get 'em!" he said, a little more Chicago in his voice than the south. He got behind one of the tombstones and waited.

Arell looked up from the plans just as Smitty ducked out of sight. "Who de hell is DAT?!" he asked, a little curious about the new guy, but still a little unaware of Smitty.

"Oh, the usual crew that visits a graveyard, dead guys, mourners, two weirdoes looking at the grave we're in. Did I mention that last one?" C.J. said, a little more . . . what's the word? Aware. Dundee on the other hand, was still actively using his book smarts to form a plan with Big Daddy to wipe out the mafia stronghold.

d**k just shook his head again. "I think I see your problem." He slowly strode up to Smitty. "You're scared I'm going to take your place."

A soft yet condescending look crossed his face.
"Well you don't have to worry about that because I wouldn't want your place to begin with."

Meanwhile inside, Crystal sighed. "That man's name is d**k Valentine. He's a professional hit-man that only works for mob families, his favorite hit to go after is me, but I keep getting away, mainly because most of the family heads actually like me and my connections."

She looked back at the others, mainly at Arell. "Ever hear of the Valentine Brothers? That's their cousin that they adopted to take their place once they retired."

Crystal looked back at the screen as she changed the view to be able to see Smitty. "The other one I have no idea about."

Smitty looked at him. "Look, nothin' against you, but my job's on the line here. I was stuck paired wit' some idiot with a soft fetish for years chasin' dis goon. I'm sure Boss Razolli had some reasons for hiring you, kid." Smitty said, prepping his compressed air gun.

Arell looked up at the screen. "The VALENTINE brothers? I heard 'bout dem . . . howevah de guy in de suit, I ran into him mo' back home . . . surprised his stupid buddy ain't around . . . Smitty somethin' . . ." Arell said.

"Smitty Erics. He's a mobster from New Orleans we dealt with before, Arell. Hell, I think you played football against him, Razolli and Smitty back in high school." C.J. said, leaning up against the wall, flipping a coin.

"Of course, he's usually paired with his friend Bud "Bozo" Riley, but he doesn't seem to be around here tonight. Perhaps he's back with Razolli." Dundee said, "However, as odd as our old enemies have seemed to follow us up to Gotham, perhaps they could be the pawns we need to wipe the other two Mafiosos away from New York and Gotham."

"Well hell . . . they don't look so damn tough." Hex growled.
