Joker stopped pacing, and looked her in the eye. "You seem pretty up-to-date. You probably heard about that witch I was with for a little." He resumed his pacing. "And I really mean witch. She had magic powers and everything. Anyways, that went south. She up and disappeared on me in the middle of a fight." He stopped his pacing again, looking at the ground. "Huh. I didn't think about it until now. It's a lot like how I used to treat you. That's ironic. Heh heh." His pacing resumed. "Well, I've made it my goal to kill her at the first opportunity." He stopped pacing again, and looked her in the eyes once more. "That's about it for me. What've you been up to? You still keeping tabs on the Bat-freak, or are you hanging with Ivy again?"
(( And since I forgot to say it earlier... ))

Harley frowned. Both at the news about the other woman, and the fact that he really hadn't paid any attention to her. "You mean since the last time I seen you? No, I'm not with Red. I teamed up with Two-Face temporarily and ended up getting myself a penthouse hideout out of it. Started my own gang to lead, been doing my own heists. Kept on the Bat some. Especially when there was talk about "him" going around offing mob members. Haven't heard anything about that lately, so figuredi t was safe to be out and about again." she replied. She wasn't going to tell him about Casper, or her little night out.

Joker chuckled. "Two-Face? Did he flip his coin to decide if he should let you join? He ALWAYS uses it whenever he does ANYTHING with me..." Then, the rest of what she said sank in. "Bats is killing mob bosses? No, not Batsy. Not OUR Batsy... Couldn't be..."

"And I had to try and explain that I'd be an even number, I'd be second in command, my costume's split in two, it'd be my second time working for someone...all that good stuff." Harley replied. Then she frowned a bit. "I don't think so. But then, the real deal hasn't been seen in months. Everyone thought it was really him. Costume certainly looked like the real deal.....unless you know, you've seen the costume up close and personal. There were a few small things wrong with it."

"Okay, so there WERE some differences. It wasn't Bats. Good. Hate to think he was going to change the nature of our relationship. Heh," With that little concern covered, he went back to Two-Face's rediculousness. "And as we both can see, your points made an impression on ol' Harvey. You're still alive." Joker perked up a bit as he thought of something. "Hey, want to come back to the hideout? I could use some help with killing Gossamer. It'd be poetic, my long-time leading lady taking back her role from the newer upstart."

Harley hesitated. "I dunno Mistah Jay...." she replied. It still sounded like she was only second best. Just going to be there to help him. And she'd been doing pretty well for herself on her own.
Though...it would be good to know where he was hiding. That little card could come in handy.

Joker nodded. "I understand. You got your own thing going. Good for you. Want to at least stop by? I got an old henchman of yours. Death Raider. I just threatened his life earlier today, and a friendly face might keep him from committing suicide. If he's going to die, I want to do it myself." The clown smirked; he was clearly having one of more lucid moments. He was behaving almost NORMAL. "Also, there's someone I want you to meet."

Harley blinked. "Death Raider? You actually hired him?" she asked, then giggled a bit before straightening herself out. "Oh, no. I had auditions when I started my group. He just didn't make the cut. Lewis and Buster did though." she said. Then she paused a moment in thought. Actually....Buster would probably get ticked off if he found out she was going with Joker and had left them all at the house. He loved working with Mistah Jay. Oh, well.
"Well....I suppose I could come over for a while. I told the boys I'd be gone for a few hours." Harley replied. She was....actually rather curious now. Someone he wanted her to meet? And....he was acting....different.

Joker shrugged. "I was short on both manpower and time. Now, I'm just short on time. I can always kill him later." He wandered over to the display cases for the most expensive jewelery. He spotted a necklace, a bright, thin silver chain, with a silver molding of a rose as a pendant. The rose had tiny rubies and emeralds in it to color the piece properly. Joker broke the glass with a strong hit and took it, placing it in his pocket. Walking back to the door, he said, "If you're coming, come now; I'm not going to just TELL you how to get there!"

Harley winced as Joker broke the glass, and set off the silent alarms. She'd done her best not to set anything off when she came here. She paused a moment, contemplating, then stood from her seat. She swung the large mallet over her shoulder with surprising ease and grace, then started towards Joker.

Without looking back, he kept heading back to his base. If she was going to follow, she'd follow. Apparently, his prescence was no guarantee of it anymore, so he just wasn't going to worry about it.

Hex wasn't one to be the last on the draw, but he noticed that between Arell about to draw on Big Daddy, C.J. ready to back him up and Dundee being the only one of the Southern boys in the room not ready, willing and able to produce much of a weapon, leaned on a table. "Catgirl, explain why havin' three heavily-armed good-ol' boys, our bounty and a Dundee in the same room was a good idea." Hex mused, watching the whole stare-down with a bemused grin on his face.

Big Daddy half laughed at the threat, but Macready was ready to draw his pistol and fling a smoke grenade if neccessary, "As I recall, I would have taken down two crime bosses, if it weren't for you guys. The authorities aren't going to arrest them, you and I know this. I simply don't see the point of let's this scum keep getting away with it. So maybe you should simply get out of my way, or you can actually help me take down some bad guys!"
