Found another good use for the vuvuzela. Someone suggested that people should go to the Twilight premiere and sell vuvuzelas there. eek Best idea ever! Dad's having surgery tomorrow to remove his fixator! <3 Been 7 long months. gonk Also, USA game was AWESOME! I couldn't stop watching. Man, I thought we were out! Donovan is amazing!! <3 They finished at the top of their group, too, so they're playing Ghana next! I think Germany may win against England. I haven't seen too much of that star power they're suppose to have. We should have gotten that offside goal, though. wtf. D:<

Lady Pyre AGH. Why do I always log on right after my tanks stops glowing? gonk I just did it again! Well, I caught the last few seconds - at least I got three people to play. I didn't get to, though, because my Flashplayer was being wonky and decided I didn't have it installed. =(

I can imagine a bunch of people blowing the vuvuzelas at the most "dramatic" moment of the movie. twisted How awesome would it be to just bust out a few thousand at the midnight mass at the vatican? Or a Justin Beiber concert? Seriously, the vuvuzela is a great instrument, they just insist on using it at the wrong venue. Really, kind of a major oversight. And you know what the best thing about having English friends? Telling them what a good job their team did and letting them know that if their team works hard and is determined, then one day maybe they can be like the U.S. and win their group. Though, honestly, I really want to see England and the U.S. have to play again just to continue the John Oliver-Jon Stewart routine. And I would prefer that not have to have the Netherlands lose.

I just had the most awesome EB crew ever. There were only 5 of us, but we had no trouble at all. We went after SS, so I actually had my farming ring set - no defib, not even meat - and I only died once. I've had worse times with full crews and a fighting ringset. biggrin

Hey Pasta If ever any of you has children and you buy them a smartphone before they're an adult, I will find you and kick you. I read that as "megaphone" until I went to reply. I think it still stands though, and I may still have to do it. Though saying, "I may have children someday" is usually enough for me to torment people.

Why do I never trust my instincts? I had a feeling the grucken event was active when I logged on zOMG, but instead of checking, I did daily chance and some chests in GB. When I got around to Rubella, there were seven minutes left and I only caught ten of the damned things.
Hmm... which do I want more? Black lace or string ensemble (lol, love the name). I'd probably use more of the ensemble's poses, but the lace's headpiece is just epic.

Well by the time I have children the phone will be implanted in their head, so not a problem.

I'm kinda bummed that I haven't unlocked the Mark Twain achievement, yet. I got quoted a good ten times in the thread about raising arena fees, but I don't think that is going to count towards it...
I also love that they gave it that name. He really is quoted a hell of a lot - I guess that's what happens when you're so damned witty.

"HAVE THESE BASTARDS NO SHAME!" ~Oscar Wilde Seriously, who has a quote achievement not named after Oscar Wilde? Seriously, these ******** are based near Seattle, there's no ******** way they can't hit an English major by throwing a rock out the window.

"A witty saying proves nothing."
They should have named it after Voltaire, to be honest. talk2hand

"We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways! One trick is to tell stories that don't go anywhere... like the time I took the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a heel for my shoe; so, I tied an onion on my belt- which was the style at the time- and I caught the ferry to Morganville; which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. Back then the ferry only cost a nickel; in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on em! 'Gimme five bees for a quarter', you'd say. Anyway, the important thing to remember is I had an onion on my belt- which was the style at the time! They didn't have yellow onions, cause of the war! You had to use the big, white ones..." -Grandpa Simpson
Though seriously, it's ridiculous how many times I hear The Simpsons quoted. More so than I think any other notable quotable.
