Yeah, even at our strongest, it normally is slow or rather pitiful. I think we get like 1mb a minute or second or something like that. Ours is horrible, which drives my brother (The online gamer) insane and bugs me from time to time when I can't read my manga or watch any anime or find gifs...

Same here, but my primary use for my computer is watching anime and reading manga which isn't easily replaced in my town. Luckily I do own some anime (on both tape and DVD) and have quite a few manga I can read. And if that fails, I have a few actual books that I've been reading also.

I see a lot of Naruto and Dragon ball Z/Kai a few times I'll see Bleach and I've seen Vampire Knight one too many times for my taste, in stores. beyond that, bubkis. The library here has a few scattered bits and pieces of manga, but nothing that I'd read in a complete enough set. They are belittling the Japanese culture by not sharing such fine pieces of literature with us! (though in my library, someone had drawn in an Inuyasha book making the first chapter into something inappropriate for children.)
