Valerie smiled softly to Boothe and broke off a small hunk of the bread. Her thoughts were the same as Boothe's. "If you are a healer, why are you not using your knowledge? The Goddess Yuri gives knowledge to those who will use it best, not waste it." She said, still watching Sebastian as she began to eat the bread slowly. Valerie caught a glimpse of his wrist, and her eyes widened. She glanced at Boothe for an explanation.

Boothe quickly shook his head. Sebastian looked up from his bread. "I do not believe in Yuri." he said plainly. "My knowledge was given to me by my mother. The Goddess Eywa has given me memories of her." he then turned back to his bread and slid his shirt sleeve down, covering his wrist. Boothe looked at him with irritated eyes. "You did not answer her question." Sebastian looked up at Boothe with a shocked expression. "I do not need to." his eyes looked wild. Boothe stared at him. As he leaned in, he made sure he lowered his voice to a mumble. "Eywa has also given you life," he began, "Don't get rid of it. I know what you are doing." he then sat up and bit into his bread, acting like nothing had happened. Sebastian clenched his jaw as he looked down at his blood stained fingers. He wanted to get up and just walk away, walk far from here. He didn't care anymore. Didn't care where he went, what he ran into, or what happened to him. Nothing mattered anymore.

Valerie narrowed her eyes, staring at Sebastian with a cold intensity. "Actually, if what our religious mythology holds true, Eywa would not exist with out themother Yuri. But I am not discussing religious politics. You obviously are not using the knowledge granted and gifted to you to your advantage for a reason. If you give up, there is one girl I could name who would give up just as fast." She glanced at Selia, obviously the name she would give for example. "And Boothe. And Valik. They are like your family in my eyes Sebastian. I may be only 18 years, but I am more insightful then I may lead you to believe." Valerie finshed, popping the last of her bread into her mouth and looking down, playling with Ryan's hair as he slept.

Sebastian huffed. "Too bad Yuri isn't Eywa's mother; Eywa is the only Goddess there ever will be. Also, the Goddess is no myth." he mumbled angrily. He felt the darkness engulf them. The moon was up. It was a full moon, but unusually large. Boothe shook his head and ate the last of his bread. He agreed with Sebastian on this, though he decided it was best to stay quiet. He threw the leaf that had held the bread into the fire, and the fire burned with a new life and a green aura.

Valerie shrugged and continued to run her fingers though Ryan's hair. "To each their own beliefs." She whispered as she nodded off.
Selia's eyes flew open. "What..?" She looked around the campsite at the fire and shivered. "Just a dream.. just a dream." Her tattoos began to spin again as she slipped out of Valik's arms and crawled over to the fire. Sitting down, Selia wrapped her arms around her legs, letting the vines spread again. "Hi." She said, obviously still half asleep.

Sebastian didn't look up. He only played with his food. Boothe sighed. "Hello, Selia." he handed her bread. "It's only the middle of the night, you know. You may want to get more rest." he scooted the water canteen closer to her.

Selia shook her head and smiled sadly. "I wish I could." She said, taking a small bite of bread and chewing slowly. "Nightmares. About what happened last time." She explained in advance, staring at the intricate lace rose that now bloomed on her palm. The tattoo now covered most of her body, running along her arms and shoulders, down her back and torso, and now spiraling down her leg and around her scarred eye. Selia smiled at Boothe and sipped the water. "I'll be fine though. I was raised on getting no rest for weeks on end." She said, letting her gaze drop on the bread. She let her fingers began to tear it into small chunks, her stomach suddenly hard and churning. A slight grimace crossed her face, but was quickly replaced by a bright smile. A vision danced in front of her now crystalline blue eyes, showing a forest with her mother in a body again and the five race figures from her earlier vision.

Once Sebastian wrapped up the remainder of his bread, he set it aside and lied on his back. He placed his arms straight out on the ground, closed his eyes, and lay motionless. Lucid dreaming was something his mother taught him many years ago, and something he had not done since her death. Tonight he would bring her into his dreams. Boothe nodded as he stared into the green fire. Slowly, the green aura was dying out, just as Sebastian's will to live was. Boothe shook his head to himself. He regained focus on Selia. "You should eat," he said blankly.

Selia's smile faded with the green in the fire. "So should he." She nodded towards Sebastian's motionless form as she threw some of the herbs that grew around her into the fire, making the smoke smell minty and similar to licorice. The green glow flared up again, just like Selia's will to have everyone live did. After a few minutes, Selia stood up. "I'll be back by dawn. There's something I want to see for a moment." She said simply, and walked away. Once out of the fire's light, Selia ran towards the glowing city. Noise of festivity and music floated around the gates. She quickly danced before the guards, mesmerizing them with the flames she controlled and with the fluid grace of her movements. They opened the gates for her, and stared as she ran in. The lace curse looked like a costume among all the performers and attendents of the carnival. Selia moved through the crowd quickly, looking for the one person she thought she would never ask for help. "Crystal!" Selia screamed in the crowd, now trapped between two men, both drunk and laughing at her cries.

Crystal turned to see Selia. She spoke viciously in the tongue to the two men and they hesitantly walked away. She then looked at Selia with a raised eyebrow. "And what do you want?" she crossed her arms. Then she noticed the ink covering Selia's body. "Jesus." she curled her nose at Selia.

Selia rolled her eyes at Crystal's reaction to seeing her. "Oh trust me, it's not the most fun thing in the world. And I need your help. It's about Sebastian." She said, trying not to spit the words at Crystal or turn and leave. "He's..." Selia took a deep breath, the tattoo's spinning slowing as she did. "He's lost the will to go on. He's sick, and he won't tell us what he took or how to help him. And his wrist.." She shivered at the mental image.

Crystal shook her head quickly, looking into Selia's memories. "Let's go." she spoke some sort of spell in the strange language and people moved to the sides to make a straight, clear pathway for them. Anything she commanded someone, they would do. A power of hers. She sprinted through the crowd, wishing at this moment she could be as fast as Sebastian was. The gates open when they came to them. "Lead the way." she switched balance, anxious to get there quickly. Boothe grunted as he stood and left the fire once Valik had awoken. Valik, still on fours, followed him into the forest.

Selia nodded and sprinted towards where they had camped out, making it there in less then an hour. Valik and Boothe were gone, Valerie and Ryan lay together by the smoldering ashes of the fire. Selia just looked at Sebastian. "Maybe he'll listen to you. He didn't eat or drink, or heal himself. Crystal, I honestly hope he'll be willing to listen to you." Pain was obvious in Selia's voice, even if it was choked. Tears pooled in her eyes, but she held them back and just bit her lip. "I'm going to find Valik and Boothe." She finally said after a minute of silence, and quickly ran into the forest after them.

Crystal looked at his bread next to him. "He's ate some." she noted as she kneed down next to him. She reached for his wrist. As she touched it Sebastian grabbed hers and his eyes darted open. His grip loosened once he realized it was Crystal. Tears welted in his green eyes. Crystal breathed out. She slid up his sleeve. Sebastian jerked away but she had already seen. "No wonder you're not eating." she pulled him up to where he was sitting up. "When did you get this?" she asked. "Earlier today." he replied as he pulled his sleeve back down. Crystal ran her hand through her hair. "There's a possibility I can suck out the venom." she looked into the forest, but Selia was already gone. "Valerie." she said as she lightly pushed her. "Wake up."

Valerie blinked sleep from her eyes as Crystal woke her up, only to have her eyes grow hard. "What is it now? Another scandal to throw on my records?" She hissed between her teeth as she sat up and glared at Crystal. Valerie picked at the ground, tearing up chunks of mint and ivy with her nails. it was everything Valerie had in will power not to turn her back on the princess and walk away from everyone, even Ryan.
