Character Change and Stuff!
So, shu and I were talking, and I brought up an interesting point. I was wondering how Mitsukai and Reine lived long enough to still be alive and young while Juan and Luke had been locked up for hundreds of years. Shu didn't have to think very long to think of a solution. Yui and Ninja, it's up to you if we go through with this, so tell us what you think:
When Luke and Juan's parents died, they left them one thing: A gaurdian angel. She would always be there for the brother's, to protect and help them. This is Mitsukai. She tries her hardest to protect the brothers, and is always there when they need her. Juan accepts her help and advice, and thinks of her as a close friend. On the other hand, Luke tries to reject Mitsukai. He likes to be independent, and doesn't like her fussing over him and trying to be protective.
Luke met Reine one day while he was out on his own (which he does often enough). The two quickly became fast friends. For a while, Luke didn't tell her who he was. After a few months of his mysterious dispearances (back to where he lived) and unwillingness to tell her anything, Reine finally weaseled it out of him. She was shocked at first, but quickly got over it. As their friendship grew, Luke eventually asked her to be immortal, to which she agreed. They become closer than they ever were, and starting being together more.
After awhile, the tension between Luke and Juan started to grow even more. Mitsukai and Reine noticed their fights got worse and more frequent. This is about when they were locked away in the tower, JUST Juan and Luke. Over the hundreds of years, they made up and made promises not to go back to their old ways. When the tower was opened, Luke and Juan jumped at the chance to show they'd changed. They invited Mitsukai, Reine, and James to come help plan. The three were shocked, but pleased, to see how much their friends had changed for the better. Unfortunately, their relationship starts to change during the ball. Juan starts going back to his old workaholic ways, Luke is being more rebellious again, annoyed at Juan going back on his promise, and then....something happens. This is where the plot needs to start, cuz we've got nothing right now. Well, we have ideas, but not much more -.-

1st part of the plot:
Juan and Luke were having a FIGHT. This fight caused the tower to collapse. In the middle of it, one part of the wall broke and a BIG hole was formed. Then, a Yeti comes in. Apparently it has been observing Juan and Luke for some time, wandering around the mountains looking for her missing son. She found a lot of similarities between that son and Luke (talk about rebelious...) and tries to kidnap Luke. Juan jumps in the way to protect Luke. The Yeti didn't pay much attention and kidnapped Juan instead. Oh!! Damsel in distress!! What shall everyone do??
Luke eventually formed a party and they went out searching for Juan. Eventually... They found themselves in a Yeti cave!! But- Oh no!! - Apparently it's a MAGICAL cave that has barriers around it. It's a VERY strong barrier and nothing seem to be able to break it. But. There IS one strong emotion that can BREAK this barrier, the STRONGEST emotion in the world: Love.
In order to break the barrier, Ball go-ers have to present their love in any form they can. They can hug each other, kiss each other, sing love songs, write (family) love poems, draw something related to family love, it's up to their creativity. Eventually, all these break the barrier and Juan is rescued. And all those who helped are given a token of appreciation.
... I DON'T KNOW. Does that work?

Ahahaha, cakes...its good to have you back.
My creativity is sad. It's out of order right now, and I'm not sure what's going to bring it back sad It feels bad that it's more drawing/design creative, not story/plot creative. Oh, and do you mind if I post in the testing thread? I think I'll be able to make a few examples and stuff. I had the idea of making it look like the titles to the posts on the first pages were signs nailed into wooden doors. We could change the colors/looks of the signs, but I'll post what I'd already made before this while screwing around with photoshop.

Basically whatever your failing in at the moment
I think to myself
"How could I be able to do that?"
Then I brake it down step by step in my head
I brake down all the componets of whatever it is to make it look simple

Yesterday, I just had an inspiration hit. The WHOLE IDEA of the plot came crashing to me in one whole piece, after weeks of brain dead-ness and frustration. I kind of realise that the ball is MEANT for people to have fun and be meaningful, and it isn't necessary to have contests for the main plot.So here I present, the whole actual plot idea.
Bold is the theme of the room.
When both brothers started bickering (along with other demigods), the whole tower starts to collapse. The mansion shook as if hit by an earthquake, walls broke and suddenly, power failure. Faint light filtered through the large cracks and holes from the wall, lining the room with the faintest of glows, barely visible. There were shouts, and loud noises, and, as if a trick of the light, a huge figure appeared. Instead of attacking, the creature stomped in, grabbed somebody, and ran. Chaos, chaos and chaos. Then, when there was light... Juan and Reine was gone.
Apparently, from Luke's story, Juan was kidnapped by the strange, dark creature when it was stomping towards HIM. Other NPCs claim they have seen the shadow of a schoolgirl swooping around the room, perhaps one of the ghosts living in the once abandoned mansion. We must all search for the missing NPCs before it is too late.
Search parties are split and a scavenger hunt begins. Maps of the mansion will be drawn and posted, while Mitsukai claims she has set up a barrier to prevent the creature escaping the mansion outer grounds (which, still is quite big), and the map of the exterior will be drawn as well. On each scavenger hunt, two riddles will be given. One riddle indicates the floor/loose location on where the missing NPC is, and one the exact room/location. Ball go-ers will have to guess, and NPCs are responsible for giving hints. And now we split into the two scenarios after the NPCs are found:
1) For Juan, they found the creature, apparently a Yeti keeping him hostage in a small shed/cave nearby the house. Apparently, the Yeti have lost her son to an illness and was wandering around the lands and stumbled upon the house. She began observing the people, saw Juan and Luke's fights, Reine's intent of breaking them apart and was upset at how unforgiving Juan and Luke was towards each other and how disregardful they were towards family love (which the Yeti have lost). Thus, the Yeti decided to teach them a lesson about family love. In the shed/cave was a magical barrier unbreakable by the most powerful tools in the world, and it can only be unlocked when the final riddle was solve, which the answer is Love. Once the riddle if solved, the barrier is broken and everyone returns safe and sound, with Juan and Luke's bond growing even deeper with the revelation of their love towards each other.
2) For Reine, a house ghost dressed as a school girl kidnapped her, and locked her in the room. It was revealed that the house ghost was enviousof her, being able to be so close to a guy, as it reminded her of her old school days where she fell in love with a boy but never having the chance to express her love as he died soon after. After her death, she sought to find her love for centuries but was still unable to meet her. However, the ghost was a nice soul. She will release Reine on ONE condition: finding the boy she loves for her, rumoured to be in the mansion. One last riddle was given and Ball-goers use that as the clue to find the whereabouts of the young man, who was trapped in a dream trapper. Eventually, they release the young man and the two lovers were reunited, and Reine was released.
My last post about Ball-goers showing love was good, but last night I checked the previous Ball thread and I found out that my idea was an exact replicate of the plot in Romance Among Roses room last year. So... a dry and used idea, not that all entertaining, especially for the ones who were in the room last year.
Sub, your character will still be interacting with the Ball-goers throughout the whole ball. Besides providing the backstory info to everyone, you are given a task when the NPCs disappear: providing updates on both sides. However, you are also free to join any search parties and switch between them as you wish. If Sub disappears and doesn't reply this, Cakes, you will take his position. Are you okay with that if it comes to it? (btw, Lady A hasn't replied, if you're curious. I'd give her a week or so :/)
Sailor, the ghost girl I mentioned above who kidnapped Reine was you. This might give you a better involvement in the plot and the room, instead of going around being news girl. Plus, you get to interact with some Ball-goers flittingly before the Ball. Do you consent?
Next, we need a person to play the guy. :/ Anyone? I'm playing the Yeti too, so my hands are full.
I (and/or Dusky) will be writing the riddles. Anyone who would like to help is very welcomed. I will do the research for the layout and interior of the mansion (will be using the layout of old european mansions). If anyone else would like to help, for drawing or researching bout old mansions, please do. And PLEASE if anyone is kind enough to draw the layout, PLEASE tell me. I have no scanner here and I SUCK at computer art. D8
Agree? Disagree? Happy? Comments? If everyone is alright with this idea, then it's time for the plot and character to come to a close. I will gather all the backstory and join it with the current plot, PM it to everyone (in case there are some people who doesn't turn up in the thread) for finalisation, then post it in the front page and PM Lady A. As soon as the plot is on the front page, unless it has major defects, it shall be final. Meanwhile, we shall move on while working on the riddles and the layout, as that is all that is left of the plot.

I LOVE it SO much.
Oh, and I THINK I got rid of my creativity block. I just sat there. For an entire hour. Drawing and doodling and writing character notes. My mind feels refreshed. I should do that everyday =)

Sailor: Yesh, you still keep your character (Shizuki) and her traits and the mule, it's just that you'll be playing a sad, ghost girl who wishes to express her feelings to her one true love... *dramatic sigh* How sad... *starts day dreaming* Oh dear. Was it the salad sauce I've eaten? I hope the disease doesn't have any long term bad side effects!! XD
Cakes: Ah! So she's contacted you! 8D That's great then! Good luck with getting the position!! 8D Whoa. 0.o 2-3 people at once? I'd DIE. D8 And for the mansions, yes. 8D I love anything bout Italian Renaissance too! 8D No, I don't think we'll be physically drawing the mansion unless we have plenty of time at the end. 0.o Drawing it will be HARD...
