The forum layout changes aren't finished yet. There's still several changes that have yet to take place and those will hopefully quell the "OMG WTF CHANGE IT BACK" comments that many are expressing. On top of that, the changes that were just made are quite glitched and as such are still being worked on to remove said glitches. It was tested but bugs that occur with live code cannot be seen with small-scale testing.

The reason for changing it is the same for the changes on the site as a whole. Gaia is growing and as such the formatting and coding needs to be adapted to meet the growing userbase. The old forum code was not built for hundreds of thousands of users using it at once and would quickly and utterly flatline when that became the norm.

As for the not being able to post, I've heard that clearing your queues has solved the problem for many of those affected by it.

I don't see much of a difference to be honest.

Then again I just really want more gold to buy a sealed this month.
