The man sits up sneering "What? Someone is on my cities land that can use magic!" He said standing up grabbing his armor and calling the guards. We have a small group of people squatting on our land and one or two at least can control elemental fire or other magic. They have broken our law being on our land. Yes though they are where the border used to be our territory has expanded two years ago to take that rock edge because it was too close to town for magic users to land for traveling past.

This young one has seen them and heard them speak of it. I will not tolerate any sneaking about on the increased territory by people who think they can just wander sneaking onto our land to defile it. They may not even have a fire going to keep from drawing attention to their location. Now lets move out and teach these interlopers a lesson!" He yelled and fired up the guard to go.

Sardin shivered and looked up grumbling. "I suddenly got a bad feeling. Damn whats taking that ring so long." Sardin grumbled a little seeming rather tense from all his talk about them being safe.

Sardin thought about it but then stopped as he grabbed another piece of jerky from the sack. "I don't think that would work right now." Sardin said with a stern look and light growl as he stood yelling "You don't have to try hiding anymore I know your there. That armor makes so much noise it is likely to draw the attention of those dead and buried from long ago." Sardin said knowing it likely would wake Hitana and Lyra.

The guards had stopped and the man rose his brow looking to the young leading them. "Whats he talking about how could he hear our armor clanking when its leather?" He said even the rulers armor was leather. But they remained still in the dark trying to hide.

Sardin was looking around as if not seeing them though knew right where they was. This was a ploy to do a scare tactic to the enemy.

The ruler of the city was silent watching them and grimaced at that and was ready to react to make a come back when a guard placed a hand on him whispering "They are trying to goad us into revealing ourselves Sir. Don't fall for it." The whisper was soft but easy for the leader to hear only.

Sardin started laughing hysterically as if someone told a very funny joke. "Oh that is rich. If we was trying to goad you into revealing yourselves we wouldn't need to yell at the darkness I would just throw a rock and hit you in the head covering doing this." Sardin then started hopping over the rock barrier and back. "Oh look in your land, out of your land in your land out of your land." Then he looked right at the group and pointing "Your main group is 15 feet over there and two optian groups in an attempt to surround us is only 6 feet away there..." -Sardin throws a rock getting someone to yell ow. "And 7 feet over there..." throwing another rock getting another person saying ow. All the while looking right at the young man and the main group.

"So while trying to protect and surround us you are crossed boarders trying to come up behind us. But I hear your very heartbeats, breathing, and even whispers. Oh by the way if your two groups take even a step... too late." Sardin said as a yelping scream cried out going high into the air in the trees as if a high powered gust of wind shot up from the ground blasting a person into the sky.

At this moment Sardin looked into the sky and smirked telepathically telling the guard and Lyra and Hitana to get ready "The opening is almost here. If I can stall for time long enough when I give the word go. Use your fire to feel the pathway's flow and follow it. You need to get Lyra and yourself to safety, once in the barrier track if they fire arrows they won't hit you due to the barrier. It will spit you ou near Dulok a safe haven and friend to magic users, It isn't called the magic city for no reason after all." He said mentally to them.

Looking back towards the main group Sardin said. "I have magic stones laid all around this area for added safety. Which if you step on them will activate the element it stands for. Air was first triggered so the person got blown away by a gust of wind. And these stones have multiple charges.

So if you think you can send a few of your guards to take the brunt of it then the rest are safe think again. As soon as the element stops being triggered it is ready to do another charge of the remaining 19 these stones charge up to 20 charges in 24 hours time once they get 20 charges they stop charging." Sardin said and spoke softly

"So just come out and lets talk. There is no need for further violence." Sardin said watching as they stand up. The leader grunting and grimacing falling for it. "Fine you want to just alk then talk your trespassing on MY land. You bring forces into MY land that we don't want here and for what reason? You plotting to attack our town and try taking by force what we have protected without any kind of magic for thousands of years?" The leader snapped angered.

Sardin laughed. "Sorry but this spot we are in right now is past the boundaries of your land sir. We are on our way passed our town just waiting to travel the barriers in the sky to the twin towers. So in a little while when the safe passage opens in the next barrier we will be on our way and you will never see us again. If I meant you harm you would had been killed long before I yelled out that I could hear you.

The creaking sound of thick leather armor really is annoying. I don't know why you use such armor still it is a dead give away to one with heightened hearing like I have." Sardin then suddenly put a finger in his ear wiggling it as if some unheard sound bothered his ear.

One guard seen this and someone using a dog whistle. "Well we are the hounds of war. And let us sound off our call. in greeting." The guard said which was a code for the guards having seen one or two of the other guards having stealthily crept up closer from where the one that was shot into the air without any of them triggering anything. The code was for all of them to use the dog whistles at once.

If the guards did use them this would hurt Sardin making him fall giving the guards a chance to attack and capture them. The leader laughed at Sardin. "Sorry to say that land that used to be the boarders of my peoples land has grown so that 'spot' your camping in IS part of my land too. So I have every right as of two years ago to deal with anyone who uses magic or magic stones anyone who is not pure human without magic for trespassing on my lands Boy." He said and grinned evilly.

Sardin growled wincing then turned into his dragon form shaking his head as the whistles didn't bother him in this form. "Fly you fools!" He snapped at Lyra and Hitana as large spikes of stone shot up around the flames as Sardin stomped his foot on the ground. "The barrier is opening." Sardin said growling and charged into the group of guards attacking like a beast who had hardly any self restraint.

The guards trying to shoot arrows was Sardin's focus but the others with swords kept getting in his way.

Sardin roared and his mouth struck down tearing into the flesh ripping an arm off the leader. When Sardin spit it out he growled "You attacked first I blew a man away to demonstrate it was pointless to try getting closer and the person was unharmed. You struck first with intent to harm so you foolish one brought this upon yourself." Then he spread his wings leaping into the air striking off like a bolt of lightning through the trees to meet up with Lyra and Hitana.

Sardin landed skidding to a stop and huffed fussing snapping at the air violently from the lightning sparks that discharged from him. Like some animal not familiar with the sight.

Sardin grumbled growling and the guard didn't have to go too far as someone was already running a bolt of light hit Sardin in the face as chains made of strong vines wrapped about Sardin's mouth and body making him get hogtied and fell on his side. Another person cloaked went to putting a salve of what looked like near lava like paste on Hitana's fire horses leg then wrapped it up wiping her hands of the woman pet Hitana's horse's head softly. "Shh, Shh there now your gonna be fine in a little bit." She said sounding like a young child.

The group came helping get the horses special grasses to eat, one was fed fire grass while the other water grass. The one who wrapped Sardin up however stood motionless and silent as the others made sure everyone was alright. The first wore a dazzling near high authority like robe remaining hooded waving her hand the group responded offering them to follow as the group helped Hitana's horse move by levitation towards the town. The young voiced one looked to the one woman. "Matriarch, They have come just as you said. But what are you planning to do with that one." The one asked looking at Sardin questioningly.

The first shook her head making a silent gesture and the one who spoke bowed giggling. "Okay I understand. Come you three you must be hungry and tired and want a warm bath perhaps?" She said pushing on them trying to get them to move leaving Sardin and the Matriarch alone.

The one who spoke laughed. "Oh we won't hurt him, You see something happened to force him into his dragon form he has hardly any human like intelligence, Right now his mind is shaken to the point he is just like wild beast, The Matriarch has a way to calm his mind and bring his mind back to rational thinking.

The matriarch has strong enchantments that can help him return to his senses. And that is all but to keep others safe she has to keep who hears her voice to a minimum or they could if not strong minded fall under her enchanting spell. Once he is of his right mind and calmed she will release him from his bindings and he will be like he once was instead of a wold beast who would attack anyone even friend on sight." The young one said softly giggling.
