The innkeeper thought a bit but then Roberta popped her head around the corner. "I can show her where it dad. I got to drop off a batch of dragon fruit anyway." She said grabbing her cloak she wore around town.

Sodain huffed. "Unfortunately he still lives. I can feel his life force as him being my shadow counterpart I can feel him. he is 1-2 floors above us. Plus if my suspicions are correct you don't stand a ghosts chance in hand to hand combat with the Arclight. I have a suspicion who it is, but if I am right, then the Arclight is a ghost." Sodain said softly fighting hard and his arm turns back into a human arm.

Roberta smiled a bit. "Well the dragon fruit lizards love them, its like how catnip is to cats, but only to lizards, they can get worked up when they seem depressed, or unhungry for some reason, just a few dragon fruits will make them ready to race and even eat the raw meat bites they are fed to keep up their strength and well we got an overstock right now, so we resell the extra for half price to give them to the lizards they use in the races and it lets us order more and have none spoil." Roberta explained.

Sodain sighed. "I have one idea who it might be, but that is impossible for I seen them jump off of Syna to their death I even seen their broken dead body. But there is only one reason for the scent I smelt which was from a dragon I knew before the war that made Syna fall. And they jumped to their death. So the only explanation is that it is a ghost of someone I once knew and even retrieved their broken body myself from the lower lands." Sodain explained.

Roberta grabbed a hand cart full of baskets of dragon fruits, and then carries it, seeming stronger then she looked to be. Walking the street towards signs telling which way the coliseum was, But went towards the back where a few guards where. "Dragon fruit overstock delivery." She mentioned to the guards and one checked the baskets out then nodded as the other opened the back gate and Roberta pulled the cart entering with Lita to where the lizards where kept. There seemed to be one lizard that was a bit wild acting roped down tightly to try getting it calmed. Roberta frowned after getting paid by the manager of the lizards she took a few fruit in her hand going over to the wild lizard before anyone could stop her.

Roberta deflected the tail lash easily with her arm as she ducked. "Now now thats no way to act towards someone bringing you goodies." She said in a stern but soft voice and the tail slowly went back as she held out a fruit towards the lizards having squeezes a break in the fruits skin so the lizard could smell it. The lizards tongue lashed out wrapping Roberta's hand and the fruit rolling the tongue off her hand only holding the fruit. "there there now." She said stroking the lizards head softly as the lizard ate. "Now why all of a sudden are you acting so wild hmm?" Roberta said and rubbed along the lizards side and then felt it. "I see. Your not wild or aggressive normally. But this time you are because you got eggs your going to be laying soon and are protective of them." Roberta said giggling having found out why this lizard was acting the way it was. Giving a few more dragon fruit to the girl lizard then taking a small basket and placed it within reach loosening a few of the ropes from her snout. "Tom this one is about to lay eggs, she will be out of the race until 3 weeks after they hatch." She told the manager

he paid her a few extra credits. "Well that's a relief I thought she was going crazy it just seems that male lizard that broke free last night got her pretty good, odd lizard too just got out of it's shackles as if they was loose to begin with when they where the right size. as if it was able to shrink." Roberta giggled a bit. "No shes not that early into it, it takes a week from development to being a day or two from them laying Tom. A different male got this one." Roberta said seeming to know a lot about the lizards. But after that was done and the guards took more fruit to lure her into a brooding cage with a nest and locked her in it. Roberta took Lita up the stairs to the seats. "This is also a way I get me and anyone with me into watch the races for free." Roberta whispered and giggled finding a seat up front and sat in one of two empty seats Offering Lita the other seat to watch the race that was about to start. "Ooh looks like they got a a new lizard with new rider in this race, and just another new rider in the next race." She said looking to the race board that was flying with estimated odds and news.

A few guards came to the cells and tossed a race uniform jump suit at Arosa. "You and your lizard are in this next race get that uniform on and come with us." One said to her two with shock rods incase she tried anything. They would lead her to Niados once she got it on over her clothing and left with her.

Sodain sighed leaning back. "I wonder if thats the fate for me as well." A younger guard female it seemed and gentler turned off Sodain's light bars and tossed in a uniform as well. " Please put this on, The Arclight would like to see how you can manage in a race. She um... feels there is a good chance you will win. And feels sorry you got caught up in here for not knowing about the curfew, But rules are rules. Win 5 races in a row and you get to go free if you want." The guard said meekly turning the bars on again then scurried off. Sodain spoke up as she left. "I would like to meet this Arclight." He called after the female guard as she left.

Then he sighed again changing clothes his was a genuine suit not just an over suit it seemed. But after he put it on his body seemed to stop fighting him on staying in this human form and inspecting it closely it had slivers of ruby shards woven into it and he tried and generated a barrier his powers worked it seemed as he wore this actual suit and he raised a brow finding a note. "Win 5 races, then when asked for a reward state you want an audiance with the Arclight and I will meet you child." it was signed Lord/Lady Arclight. Sodain raised his brow even more at this note wondering. But in a few minutes the same guards came for him that escorted Arosa out and he heard the race had started. "Come along your in the next race. it's time to match you up with your mount." The guard said with a nasty smirk letting him out and as Sodain went willingly the guard kept shoving him as if trying to get him to try something. Sodain gritted his teeth and ignored it until getting up to the pit he was shocked in the back with a shock rod falling over jerking from it. Sodain got up growling in the guards face his eyes shifted to dragon eyes and the guard smirked.

"Since you got such a fight in you You get a special mount. He said shoving Sodain into a cage with a winged Lizard mount that hissed and growled looking wild and ready to attack the moment Sodain was shoved in the cage and locked in with it. "That is if you survive meeting your mount freak." The guard laughed wickedly and walked away.

The winged lizards looked at Sodain and Sodain stared into it's eyes not afraid of it. "Looks like your forced into this race as well huh? I bet they clipped your wings so you can't just fly away huh?" He said to the lizard sitting down on a bench. "Eat me if your going to but just know I intend to win and get free. I might be able to take you with me and if I can you will be free again." Sodain simply said looking out at the race line up frowning. "Looks like my race is a combat race, they are giving weapons to other riders for the next race." He growled like a dragon and the lizard came over licking Sodain apparently choosing to be friendly.

Niados growled sniffing the air then growled at Garbin quickly lashing his tail knocking garbin to the ground as a few speed stones, scientific devices build into stones to grant special speed boosts knocking one towards the announcer a flare flange behind his head flared out shaking as he hissed loudly. Hopping it would be seen as maybe garbin cheating by using them.

Sodain sighed and waited for his turn wondering if he was getting a weapon as well or not.

Roberta jumped up shouting. "Announcer is blind! Slow mo playback Garbin clearly lost!" Roberta screamed getting uproars from the crowed chanting playback.

Knowing the one guard would not like that Sodain and this lizard he was paired with was getting along. Sodain spoke in reptilian to the lizard "Get ready we are up next. And we will win our freedom together." Sodain said the lizard hissed low and Sodain stood by the cage bars reins of the lizard in hand.

Niados grabbed a few of the speed stones swallowing them. "hungry. But unharmed, they gave me 5 baths before they let me eat and before I was done I was being dragged out to race." Niados said belching a bit.

Sodain got ready, waiting once Arosa was put in a cell with Niados this time to await the next race as Sodain and the lizard he was to be on for the next event Sodain sighed not getting a weapon. the race stalls floated into 8 parts of the arena ara after being loaded up with the riders and mounts, Sodain was never given a weapon as this was a last man standing event.

guards shoved Arosa into the cell after dragging Niados into it and light based bars closed the cell.

Niados thought then sighed. "The only dragon I know that Sodain picked up that had jumped to her death, Would have been Sodain's own mother. Other then that I can't recall any, not saying that it was the only one he picked up. Just the only one I know of." Niados said thinking more but his stomach growled as he found the stash of fruit he hid before the race, pulling the blanket over there was like 12 fruit in it he nudged 6 closer to Arosa

Sodain patted his mount as he looked towards the other contestants. "Try avoiding that one that looks all armored if possible, go for the smaller ones first. the less we have after us the better we can win against that big one." Sodain said softly not letting his mount get worried. Soon the horn blew for the event to begin.

Sodain shot out and his mount ran across the ground towards another contestant who had a mace. The guy with the mace swung but Sodain leaped into the air hitting the guy across the face with a spin kick knocking him off his mount and Sodain took the mace from the man who fell off out cold and Sodain landed back on his mount then patted it's chest as it tried flying only able to leap high and spin around upside down as Sodain held tightly avoiding the spear snagging it with the mace and yanking it from the rider to switch weapons and once his lizard spin upright sodain threw the spear with great force at the next person who had a bow with arrows and got the guy in the shoulder.

Sodain's lizard jumped sideways avoiding the arrow and Sodain grabbed the bow the guy in the air dropped. No arrows however sodain tapped one side of his mount as the big champion looking guy who tried intimidating the others charged a him his lizard leaped up sprinting wings out landing on the energy wall protecting the crowds of watchers. Sodain had his war face on once Sodain's mount reached the top of the wall it leaped off gliding as long as it could Sodain drew back the bow as a burning red arrow of fire looking energy formed firing it at the big guy as this guy took out the others and it was just him and Sodain now.

Sodain leaned forward and his lizard dove down to go under the mans flying mount Sodain in a quick flash shifted his hand to razor sharp claws cutting the saddle belt on the mans belt just enough. That in one or two hard movements the belt would break sending the man flying off his mount. Or at least this was Sodain's hope.

The odds on sodain soared through the roof for next match. Arosa's odds also increased.

Niados shook his head to the answer to knowing how many races they was in that day. "They think I am just another dumb lizard. So they don't say anything to me about it." A few trays of food entered they was filled heaping with food for both Niados and Arosa. "Your reward for coming in first." The guard sneered as the robot delivered a basket and a tray of food.

Sodain ran the guy on his tail for quite a bit this was pissing Sodain off the guy was just as fast in the air as Sodain was on the ground. Sodain lay back legs holding tight to the lizard and it helped speed the lizard up enough. Sodain drew the bow another fire bolt arrow formed in it and he fired it to make the guy lean hard and then there was a snap and the saddle and the guy went over pulling one way on the reigns to his mount sending it crashing to the ground the mount landing on it's rider. But Sodain and his mount where both the last pair moving around. Sodain sighed softly patting his lizard mount whispering to it in dragon "You did great. Just 4 more wins and we are free." He said waiting for the official announcement.
