I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ "I... Mana, please, I need..." She tightened her fist on Mana's cloak and trembled. Tears sprang to her eyes but she shook her head and took a deep breath to start again. "This happened because I was too weak. I know that. If I had been stronger..." She fixed a determined gaze up to Mana, sapphire eyes meeting aqua. "Please, Mana. Just between us, no one else has to know. Train me!" She demanded. "Before you turn me away, I'm saying this because I don't ever want to feel so powerless again! There will come a time when you, or Gannon or anyone else won't be able to protect me. Or, maybe I'll have to protect you and just singing my Songs won't cut it." She looked away, ashamed. "I need to train, not only to get stronger physically, but mentally as well. When Rhaplanca and I were singing, because I was afraid, I stopped singing and lost track of the Song. Rhaplanca had to cover for me, and because of that we almost lost to our enemies. It was because I was weak... Even if there is no one to protect me, I can't turn tail and run every time things start to get bad. I know that. I know it... but..."My Song is a Shining Light

Mana~
"Hikari..." Mana was taken aback at the Reyvateil's speech. She was silent a few moments before nodding in understanding. "I get how you feel, but you weren't to blame for any of this. We were all caught by surprise. Still, you do have a point. While I don't plan on going anywhere, it's always good to be prepared in case you find yourself separated from everyone. We may not always be able to protect you, and that's when you'll have to protect yourself. I'll teach you and it can be just between us if you like." She winked. "Now's the perfect time, too. I was just going out to get us some supplies. We can pick up something for you to start practicing with." She grinned, happy to have something else on her mind to think about. "You can help me with the supply shopping, too. Let's go, kiddo." She took Hikari's hand and led the Reyvateil out of her brother's room first, then past her sister and the others. "We're out shopping guys," she greeted. "Be back a little later." Mana was quiet until they reached outside the clinic. "First stop, the weapon shop." She half dragged the Reyvateil inside to let her look around a bit. "Whattaya think? See anything you might be interested in?"

Miu Miu slitghly look up and saw another Teru and a Reyvateil. "I'm Miu." The only one left was Miko as the other two left outside. "You seem nicer than your sister." Miu said as she sat up right. After a while she stood up and stretch and headed outside. "Thanks again! Now I have to look for grandpa since he'll be worried sick, especially since I wondered off to get a closer look at the lightning." Miu stomach then started rumbling as she step outside. She lightly laugh in embarrassment as she haven't had anything to eat since they left.

Nereus Nereus open his eyes as the two have left. He heard Miko in the waiting room and another voice that was somewhat familiar. With the alone time he had, Nereus tried his best to remember more about Hikari and Aaron. "There must be something between the two, especially Aaron. I know that Hikari and I grew up together and I am glad that I get to see her, but there's something about Aaron that seems familiar." He said in a low tone and no one in particular. Nereus left out a long sigh as he continue to try and remember more about his past.

~~Melody~~ "It sounds like you have your mind made up, then. Will you at least stay for the ceremony. Give yourself time to clear your mind and grieve a little before you hop back into the fire?" She sighed tiredly. "Maybe then you can figure out what to do with the Reyvateils you were guarding, as I'm sure it would be unwise for them to come with you if you intend on storming the enemy's stronghold to speak with that woman."

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ "Oh, I don't know..." She looked around her, hesitantly touching one or two of the blades on display. "These are all so deadly looking..." She stopped when she came across an oak staff hanging up on the wall, which instantly caught her interest. "What about this? What would you think about it, Mana?" She reached up and pulled it down, testing its weight. She was interrupted when her stomach grumbled and she realized that she was supposed to go eat earlier. "O-oh... sorry."My Song is a Shining Light

Mana~
"Huh, so you like the staff, huh?" Mana took hold of the staff, inspecting it before handing it back to her. "You can hook it to a belt and tie it to your back when you're not using it. And lots of other uses for it, not just fighting. Plus, it's not that threatening, so you can catch an opponent off guard. Not bad, Hikari," Mana said. When Hikari's stomach grumbled rather loudly, she laughed. "All right. Hang tight. We'll finish up here and head next door for something to eat." She walked up to the front of the store and paid for the staff. She returned over to Hikari, ruffling her hair slightly. "Well, it's paid for now so come on." She led the way next door to a tiny cafe, taking a seat and motioning for the Reyvateil to sit in front of her.

Miko~
"Her bark is worse than her bite, really," Miko reassured her in regards to her sister. She giggled when the other girl's stomach growled. "Well... Hikari left with Mana and I was supposed to have some breakfast with her." She extended a hand. "Would your grandfather be terribly upset if I went with you to get something to eat instead?"

Miu "I don't think he minds, but he does tend to worry about me. He keep on saying that I make him leafs." Miu stomach growl a bit more. "Well, I guess I can't help it. I'm sure he can wait a few. Let's go!" Miu shouted and walk a few steps before realizing that she is new to these parts, "Um...mind leading the way?"

Gannon…
Melody was right. He couldn't bring Hikari with him. It was just too dangerous. "I may have to give it a day before I leave. I hate ta admit it, but I don't think I can make it on my own... Not after the battles I've had in the past week." Had it only been a week? It seemed like so long ago that he had been sitting alone in a pub when the Reyvateil came into his life. Funny how that works...

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ The Reyvateil sheepishly sat down in front of the half-Teru. She glanced over the menu and looked back to Mana again. "Is there something you'd like...?" She asked. My Song is a Shining Light
Together We Shall All Unify in Radiance "Well quite a few things are pretty good," Mana answered with a grin. "Pick something.""I wouldn't even know where to begin," Hikari admitted sheepishly. "I'm really hungry, but I don't know any of these foods. And some of it I don't even understand, is it the Teru language?" She asked."Yeah," Mana said. "Well since you haven't had any of these foods, I'll just order something and share it with you, okay?""Okay," Hikari responded with a ghost of a smile, a rare sight."Are you both ready to order?" A young peppy Teru waitress approached the table with a tablet. "Err... yeah. I'll have the first and the second off the Traditional menu and two BBQ Sodas.""All right! It will be up soon! Thanks!" She skipped off to place their orders with the chef. Mana turned back to Hikari. "So, we got you something to practice with, but now we have to have a plan. From now on, in the mornings if you're really sure that you wanna do this, we'll get up a couple hours early to practice. You'll need to learn some hand-to-hand combat with that staff you have. It'll help a lot. I also have a few practice katas with the staff for you to run through with. You'll have to practice them whenever you get the chance. The more the better. That is, if you're absolutely serious. You can't do these things halfway, you know."Hikari nodded. "I understand, and thank you for taking this time. I won't waste the time you are spending on me. And I'm grateful," she murmured. "I want to do this, Mana. I don't want to spend the rest of my life running, and I don't want to burden you all to protect me." Especially when I know someday I'll be alone again. They will only stay with me so long. The day will come when we will go our separate ways. After all, I can't forget that I'm a weapon. The girl who will sing of death and destruction at world's end, she thought bitterly. And yet, if that's all I am... why do I want to live so badly...? Her thoughts were momentarily forgotten when the waitress brought the two platters. A big soup bowl for one and a bento for the other. Her mouth practically watered. "It... it looks so good," she marveled."Well don't just look. Dig in! This place has the best food!" Mana took the bowl of soup and poured some for herself in her own bowl before separating the bento between hers and Hikari's plate, evening out the food. "There we go. Enough for both of us.""Itadakimasu," Hikari murmured softly before slowly starting at her plate, wanting to savor it despite being hungry. She couldn't help it. She had missed out on so much life before, and she wasn't sure of how long she would be allowed to continue to live, so, she wanted to keep living. Even if it was selfish. Unshed tears welled up in her eyes as she enjoyed the food but she quickly wiped them away. "Delicious!" "I told ya this place is the best!"

Miko~

Before they left the grounds, Miko managed to flag down a staff member and alerted them of the injured Teru female. She vaguely overheard them mention bringing the Teru into room 5 and she made note of that before turning to Miu. "Yes, there are quite a few diners around here. There's a tiny one down this way near the Dive Shop. It's a bit of a way, but they serve a lot of food imported from Sol Ciel, Sol Marta and Sol Cluster! Funbuns, Funboons, though those are pretty much the same things. They even have Gergo pies!" She giggled. "Though there's this one dish I'd suggest staying away from. It's a Sol Marta exclusive called Chalon de Trois..." Miko shuddered. "I tried one bite and had to go to the emergency room in the clinic with appendicitis. It was awful..." She found that she had started rambling to try to ease the awkwardness of the situation of her sister just leaving her there to take care of the situation. Oh, jeez my sister is so immature sometimes! ((OOC: Changed my post skeleton back to Miko's, sorry, I was so sleepy last night I took Miu's skeleton to post Miko's post. Haha.))

~~Melody~~ "It's been a whirlwind of events, that's for certain," she remarked. She almost smiled but then her gaze settled upon her deceased friend's body and immediately she froze. Tears made their way down her cheeks once again. "And just when I thought there weren't any left..." She wiped at her eyes and turned away. "I'm sorry. It seems that I'm at my limit..." She held a hand to her forehead.

Rhaplanca Rhaplanca was keeping herself grounded with a hand on the doorway's threshold, "I am sure I am just fatigued," she half-lied to try to ease Ishira's worries, but it was doing nothing to ease her own. Perhaps we should dive again... An unwarranted sharp prickling writhed inside Rhaplanca's head. It was palpable enough to draw her hand to try to sooth the headache. The thought of a dive was nauseating and rejected on a subconscious level. I... I don't want to dive...? Speculations rose to the surface. Ones of guilt and promises. No, I cannot let the virus run rampant.. she tried to push down her apprehension for fear of it being a manifestation of the virus itself. She was about to ask to dive when the present situation came crashing back into perspective, "Actually- ...what is important right now is that we regroup and take what rest we can.. and I would like to attend the ceremony of our fallen friend..." she managed well to sound better than she looked, "I just need to rest awhile longer if I could," her voice returning to it's obvious feebleness. Ishira
Ishira's frown didn't fade, "Of course. Take your time, I am sure everyone is doing the same," he offered as comfort. "The ceremony isn't to start until sundown. You are more than welcome to rest up until then." He felt strangely out of place suddenly, "Will you be alright alone for me to handle preparations?" Rhaplanca nodded slighty, "Yes, but I shouldn't need that much time to rest- if you wouldn't mind checking in on me once you are finished.""I don't mind, I'll be back as soon as I am done checking in on the others," he promised, "Take it easy," he cautioned as he gave one last glance to make sure she made it back to bed before leaving, closing the door behind him.

Gannon…
Gannon stood and wrapped his arm around Melody, trying to comfort her. She wasn't a fighter, and was not used to the violence that had become a large part of Gannon's life. He silently cursed himself for letting Melody become involved in this. Cursed himself twice over for what happened to Zek. He knew it wouldn't do any good, but couldn't help himself. The Teru blamed himself for what happened, but also blamed the C.P.G. And he would make them pay.
