she slipped the laser pointer into her bag and gave him a grin.

before giving a raise of the eyebrow.

"Scientist." That was all she said on the matter with a grin. "Though I will tell you that women are very very mean to one another." And see he was still smiling, he wanted to show off. "Tango. I can follow a beat better and fast pace works more for me. Granted I'm not wearing pants and I'm in public but you'll just have to deal with the reprecussions of that won't you?"
"I'm a horrible flirt. You know that." Waggling his eyebrows at her just because he could then before he wrinkled his nose as she pressed for more information. He wouldn't be surprised if Jessica plugged a set of headphones into one of his ears to listen in too. "I just don't really want to hear about Jelena's penchant to experiement within reason, just because she's a scientist and has the excuse to do so."

"Vultures. That's one way to say it I suppose. Not very flattering but accurate." She could only roll her eyes and give an amused look though as he went to being all formal with her for the show of it she was sure. "Long as there is no partner swapping." Taking his hand then and getting up, letting him lead on to the dance floor. Note to self, be more aware of resturant setups in the furture.
Ren shook his head. "What? Are you getting ideas now? I swear, all you people with brains that would probably be too big for your heads."

he gave a chuckle and shook his head lightly.
"I don't even swap out my guns, what makes you think I'd swap out a dance partner?"
giving a grin and starting their dance with her.
A chuckle and smacking him on the arm.
"No, not me. I'm just quite intrigued that our mousey little jelena, now dating our local hardcase ex-military cyborg, would have at one time tried to pick up on a woman. I mean really can you picture jelena doing that?"

"Because a dance partner isn't a treasured gun perhaps?" But hey, she'd give this a shot. Though of course as anything else in life, this was also an experiment in itself. Maybe the slacker techies would indeed leave her alone. It got tiresome being hit on some days. Others, they were great fodder for being mean to. Therapy.
"Hey I have to check on these things. I can't have the world all upside down on me at once. And no I can't and I'm trying hard not to because I don't need those thoughts in my head staring her. Isn't there something about the quiet ones always being the most trouble?"

"Ew no. Granted I can appreciate a little girl on girl action. But I don't think she could bear to put herself into jeans like that, or flaunt the rest of her. That's just creepy...I see her more like...well like that cool mom that that one kid has. Besides, I think she's too eccentric to keep that up for too long without thinking of a tangent.

a grin and giving her a twirl just because.
"It's a learned behavior i think...some with who has the biggest cars and who has the biggest gun being a status symbol. and no, a reason I had my arm replaced was not to have the bigger gun."
Jessica got a snicker and had to rest her head on the table to keep herself in check...holding up one finger in the wait a moment gesture before glancing up at rennell.

"I can handle that myself thank you very much. Or would you like to see me use said shoes? Promise I won't disappoint in the notion." They were indeed making her paranoid about this. It was almost more temping to go stand in some radiation for a while rather than look for those types of answers. Sometimes she hated being responsible.
"Aw come on! Don't tell him that! He'd probably hold me down and rip off my wings. How are you going to feel about that hm? He'll rip them off but leave me close enough to medbay so that I don't bleed to death and can be patched up quickly so he can rip them off again..."

"Well if you don't want to be in the stomping pile then behave yourself." Still following his steps however, only realizing such a thing was over when he was pulling her into a kiss that dancing could not take part in. And among some of the noise being made of them probably showing off and people getting a giggle out of it, she shook her head. "Time for a donut?"
