Evamortte Honestly, I want Portal 2 more, now that they're hyping it up a bit.
It seems like they're adding a bit more depth to it too.
Besides, since we're going after that Borealis in Ep.3, it'd be nice to know more about Aperture.
The best case scenario, we'll get both in an Orange Box 2. But if Portal and HL2 link up and overlap, then why not have it be HL3/episode3? If it was just portal it could be limited to the portal gun, which as fun as it was, grew a little tiring by the end of the game. Now if Gordon Freeman got the Portal Gun on his adventure... mrgreen Harusame Mizukishi Meta_Fish We're sooooo overdue for more Half-Life though. Portal was a fun diversion, and it had charm and everything, but it was no Half-Life 2 in any way. I'm pulling for a full-blown Half-Life 3. UNNNNNNNN. They could do it, too. A new engine and everything. The one they're using now is like nine years old or something, I think. Oh, I know. But imagine that BUT BETTER

Source still uses Direct X 8 I believe.
Honestly I like that they're still using Source. Looks good and runs great. I wouldn't mind a new engine though.
They need to get Ep.3 out before 3 though, and I think Portal has potential to be more than "a fun diversion", which is why I'm excited for it sequel. I'm saying maybe there isn't episode 3 and it just goes to HL3. That would be weird, but Valve is weird.

While I wouldn't be devastated if they took what they have with Ep.3 and just made HL3, I duuno, I'd just prefer if they wrapped up the episode trilogy, end on the typical Valve cliffhanger, then make HL3.
