Hal tried to create another restraining construct as Doomsday broke out of the bubble. But...C.J's diversion tactic caught him a little off guard as well. He glanced over at her and arched a brow under his mask. What was she doing?
As Doomsday charged after her again, Hal tried once more to create something to restrain him. He flew after the creature with his arm outstretched. Glowing green tendrils of energy shooting out in front of him. He was relieved to see the girl dodge the creature and get a hit in, but frowned as she just kept playing. Overconfident...that was not good considering who they were dealing with.
He forced the tendrils towards Doomsday faster. With any luck he'd be able to wrap them around the creature and pull him away some. Then he could tell his future daughter to kindly focus.

Carlie just kept smiling, even as Doomsday took another swing and she dodged.
"Hey! I trained from the best!" she said, glancing over at her father with a grin, before Doomsday took that time to grab her guitar and start swinging it at her. She dodged a few times, then got hit over the head and flew down to the ground.
She righted herself as her guitar dissipated, and she grunted, rubbing the top of her head. "Okay... Note to self: 'Music make ugly guy mad.' ", she said, loud enough for the others to hear-- and she said the "note" in the voice of a caveman, with another big grin on her face. Apparently she hadn't learned her lesson with the guitar. Or perhaps she was already thinking of another diversion, especially as Doomsday was ensnared by her father's constructs and struggled to get free.
Still grinning, she used her ring to grab onto Doomsaday's wrists and manipulate them into hitting their owner in the face repeatedly and with a lot of force, all the while saying: "Stop hitting yourself!" after each punch.

Hal just kept his focus on holding Doomsday, creating a number more tendrils to try and increase his hold while C.J. kept him...erm...occupied.

Carlie just kept up what she was doing, and eventually, Doomsday actually hit himself with so much force that he knocked himself out and broke from the tendrils, falling down into the street below and crashing into the ground.
Carlie grinned widely, dusting her hands off like she had just done something truly impressive-- which, she actually had. "Oh, would you look at that, I managed to get Doomsday to knock himself out!" she said happily, floating over to her father. "Why don't other Lanterns do that, Dad?"

Hal sighed and cautiously began floating back down towards the ground. "Usually because stunts like that don't work." he replied. Wow, that was...lucky. This was Doomsday. Black Lantern Doomsday. He could have killed her with one punch. That was far too reckless. He should remind her that she needs to be more careful dealing with brawlers this big. He was her...father, right? He was entitled to giving lectures.
...for some reason though he didn't think that was going to work. Strangely, she reminded him of himself when he was younger.
Anyway...have an akward conversation later. Right now he needed to make sure he had Doomsday restrained and get him out of the city before they ended up trashing it. And....figure out what to do with him.

"They don't?" Carlie asked, genuinely surprised. "I figured if they couldn't break free..." she mused, frowning a bit. Oh well... Food for thought, yes? She followed Hal down, and used her ring to create restraints.
"So... Where do you think we should take this big lug?" she asked.

"Good question." Hal replied, wrapping the giant in a glowing restraint of his own. "He can't stay stay here though. Need to find someplace away from the cities. More importantly some place that's capable of holding him if he wakes up."

Carlie frowned, before Doomsday suddenly glowed black and disappeared. She cocked an eyebrow, frowning further. "Well... That's one problem solved." she said, folding her arms.
"Ring. Power check." she continued. "Power level at 80.7 percent." her ring replied, and she nodded.
"I wish I had my iPod X-50. Those things can hold up to, like... 5 terabytes of data. At least ten thousand songs and stuff. Applications, Internet access..." she said, mostly to herself. Then she snapped her fingers in a sudden epiphany. She used her ring to reach into the pocket dimension that she kept her Power Battery in and rummaged around, before pulling out a sleek-looking device that was chrome-colored but had no discernible buttons, with a pair of earbuds attached to it. She tapped the black screen and activated the device, using the touchscreen to scroll through her songs while placing her earbuds in her ears. She apparently found a good song, because she immediately started to dance.
However, as Carlie danced, another voice spoke-- in Hal's mind.
"Hal Jordan of Earth, it is good to speak to you again!" the voice of the Guardian Ganthet said in the veteran Lantern's mind. "All is not lost! The power of Nekron is rising once more, and he has allies-- I shall explain more once you come to Odym. However, know that the Lantern Corps are not all gone. The Blue Lantern Corps is untouched, and I assume the Indigo Tribe is as well. Larfleeze and Atrocitus are active as well, as are at least one Sinestro Corpsman and Star Sapphire. They are all gathered together in the country of Latveria at the moment under the leadership of one of my Blue Lanterns, gathering heroes to stop Nekron. However, I may have a different task for you, and your daughter. Please, come meet me on Odym immediately."

Hal barely even noticed C.J. He just stared at the ground with a tight frown on his face. His mind was focused utterly on what had just happened. Specifically that a Black Lantern was out and into the world again. Which meant...
Then he heard Ganthet's voice and immediately perked up. And as he listened, a smile slowly crept across his face. This was really good news. As far as he had known, he was the only Lantern around. There was no contact with Oa, or any of the other corps. Whatever had happened, or however long he had been out...a LOT must have happened. He'd just have to play catch-up.
Glancing over at C.J., he nudged her shoulder and motioned his head towards the sky. "Come on. We need to go see just what's going on." Then he enveloped himself in a layer of green energy and began flying up and into the skyline again.
Before he got too far, he looked over at Bat......Batman? It...it kind looked like him. Could have been a universal alternate. Well, he didn't have time to stop and chat too much. He gave the hero a nod and waited for C.J. to catch up.

Carlie looked up to see her father, frowned, waved goodbye to Terry, and then sped up to follow her father to... wherever they were going. Of course, she was still jamming on her iPod.

Terry watched them go and let out a slow breath. Nekron? ... That didn't sound good. Well, there wasn't much point in worrying about it; he had to get back to the cave in order to look anything up, and that had been the original plan, anyway. Shooting one last, rather bemused look after the Green Lantern girl, he turned in midair and jetted off toward the outskirts of town.

Crystal, as she sat down at the table that Sung led them to, spoke into her communicator. "Cardinal. I'm at the Thai restaurant where the 'Batman' frequents. I need you as back up just in case."
Crystal paused a moment and looked up at Arell before continuing. "I know you're not feeling well so I don't want you to jump in the fight unless we need you. I don't want you getting any more hurt than you already are unnecessarily."
She sighed as she disabled outward communication on her mask for the time being. "You can go get a plate if you want." She waved her hand towards the buffet for Arell.

She looked at him. "Everyone's suspicious around here... I can smell them so I wasn't intending to get up at all. If you want to nab me a plate or two while you're up there I'll eat just about anything."
Crystal reached back and pulled her mask off to the moment being and sighed again. She hated stakeouts.

Arell smiled. "Sounds good, che'. Jest first thing's first." he said and he hurriedly removed his gun belt. "Doan' wanna add t' de chaos." he said with a wink and then went into the buffett.
((Enter Jonah Hex from . . . I don't remember.))
Jonah leaned up against the wall outside. A tip from somebody led him to show up around Crime Alley. He usually avoided Thai food joints, but a bounty had connections here, and he wasn't about to loligag around.
A few minutes later, Arell returned with two heaping plates of food. "Reckon a li'l snack wouldn't hurt none." the big Cajun said with a smile.
