As for not getting a response... I dunno. There's a lot of threads, some don't see traffic unless there's something going on, others get it pretty casually.
Barton, Durem, the Stadium, Firebrand. I think those threads see a lot of traffic and are generally open areas with no real restrictions.
Of course, just posting randomly and hoping for a response isn't always going to warrant one. It could also be that it's a busy time of year offline for people, as well.
