puppylove713 I feel the same way. I mean if I were interested in money and nothing else, I would go after something that makes a lot like technology related fields... But no thanks. I am content where I am. What about you? I'm assuming that money isn't everything to you either. But what is your strong passion? As you know mine is the veterinary field. It's a bit reversed for me on this matter. There are things I like doing. But if I were to make it an actual job rather then a hobby it would take away the prime reason why I found it fun. For example one of my hobbies is building things for the reason that the item doesn't exist, I feel I can make something better, or because the item was just that interesting. But if I turned it into a full time job I'll always be on time constraints and constant complaining with how people wanted it if they didn't like the way I put it together. Of course I enjoy a challenge as it forces me to think in different ways to approach the problem. But sometimes the human element is what bums me out about it.

The whole building things would make a totally different thing if you were to turn that into a job. You would eventually not want to do it because people would keep complaining. At least keeping it as a hobby, you won't have to worry so much about that.

Though I can see gaming as a possible candidate.

I suppose there are those too, but again, I wouldn't be good for that because many of the new games that come out aren't really things I'm into....

There are also youtube bloggers and reviewers who do videogames. If you can get enough subscribers it can become a job in itself.

Well, I would have, but the instructors in the vet program pulled a d**k move on me. They were saying that they planned on having me back in the program for spring semester (starts in January) if I did the volunteer hours that they wanted and got a letter from somebody that stated that they think I would be able to work effectively in the clinical settings. Well, I did my hours at both our local dog shelter and a veterinary clinic. I got the veterinarian to give his statement and he gave a very good one that literally said that if they didn't take me back that they would regret it. Well, guess what, they refused to let me back in for some unknown reason. They won't tell me anything unless I go talk to them in person... This is a load of bull s**t. Why the hell would they tell me one thing and have me do something if they aren't going to take me back. If they weren't going to take me back to begin with they should have just told me in the beginning instead of leading me on...

Yeah, my mom and I dealt with that on Friday. They gave us the same speech they have been giving me forever now. I need to work on my communication skills and hand eye coordination. Please tell me something I don't already know. I feel like I may stand a better chance if I had more practice doing the skills I need work with (blood draws and restraint). Sadly, I can't get practice with those without being in the clinical setting and I can't do anything in the clinical setting without being an employee somewhere or a veterinary technology student... You see the vicious circle, don't you.... This wouldn't be an issue if they would have let me back in and set me up in one of my internships...

I think you should be able to get an intership somewhere without any special qualifications.

But at least not all hope is lost. Things look grim though. Especially with what I was told....
