Wolffy000 I'm not sure how you could play without Div. It has a permanent spot for me. Even with it I lose stam too quick. Then again, in Zomg I just prefer to load out with nothing but buffs and two or three attack moves and try to rush through everything that I can. Yeah. That's what I do when I hunt giftboxes, since you can basically stand there all night asking if anyone wants to crew and get nowhere. I just don't get it. It takes a mere five minutes to kill the things with a two- or three- person crew, and there are always a ton of people just below farming fluffs, but no... They're too scary! So I wind up spending forever putting every buff on before I leave null so I can solo them without having to draw one away from the pack. Because I fail so hard at that. And I almost always carry div, myself. But whenever you join a crew it's "Someone already has that - go switch it out." After having the person with div quit as soon as we get into battle, like, 5 times in a row, I've started telling them I am damned well bringing div and if they have an issue with it, let the OTHER person go switch out. rolleyes Wolffy000 And yeah, ******** the sparkles. I like the idea of being able to spot things in my inventory like that, but I loaded it up to see what it was like and it looked like Liberace rubbed his balls all over my inventory. If I'd been eating while I read that, you could have killed me! rofl Wolffy000 Gaia never seems to get the "less is more" aspect of design. I still want them to turn off those notifications for things in my wishlist I either have or don't give a damn about. I can turn off notifications for everything else BUT that s**t. Actually, you can turn off your wishlist notifications here. S'what I did.

wolffy Gaia never seems to get the "less is more" aspect of design. It's true, they don't. They know more about the "advertising the crap outta junk" because everyone loves that? neutral Same thing happened today too --- DISH network decided to have a SMALL ad at the very bottom of the screen when you go to the main menu for the list of channels. I hate it so much. First it's a little ad then months later it'll take up half the screen. Watch. stressed Who thinks that advertising their junk everywhere is okay?! Ah thanks, Ryo. I gotta level up more. I'm only CL 4 but maybe you can help me with that later? I'll be mining lanterns before long. crying

Xanilus Side note: Regarding the growth of ads, I'm reminded of the movie Idiocracy. In the future, the tv shows were 80% ads streaming on the top and sides of the screen, with 20% show in the center. Let alone the clothes were walking billboards. Perhaps Mike Judge has a better grasp of our fate than people give him credit for. I thought clothes already were billboards?

Okay, yeah... though not to the extent they are in Idiocracy.
For example:

And the tv ads:

Yep, that's the future. ;_____; Xani, I think the hats load faster because there are less there too. I hate the billboards that shift into another ad entirely. I focus too much on what other ad will pop up to be (I think I'm mainly fascinated by how it emerges...). They're way too distracting. I remember there being a debate about whether to take these ads out entirely but now.... looks like we have them on trucks now. ):< WTF PPL. Also found the most hilarious blog ever. I certainly do like the Alot monster. I think my favorite post by her was the one where she thought she was going to die. omg <3

Lady Pyre Actually, you can turn off your wishlist notifications here. S'what I did. Looking closer they sure have squirreled away all of their ******** options into everything but "account options" or whatever the general "customize the way this site works" ******** section is called. You have to visit at least 3 different pages just to turn off ******** emails. Thanks for linking me to that though. Lady Pyre Yeah. That's what I do when I hunt giftboxes, since you can basically stand there all night asking if anyone wants to crew and get nowhere. I just don't get it. I'm so used to kiting and soloing by now that I almost never join parties in MMOs. It almost never benefits me directly and I usually have to be paired up with people who don't know how to run or are just annoying to listen to. It's a good reason to usually play thieves or healers. At least being in a crew does offer some passive benefits, and farming Papa Saw in a crew raised my CL a bit. But that was about it.

I wish I still had a backyard where I could go be alone with my imagination. ******** passive-aggressive roommates and a job where I'm slowly being replaced - I want to go spend a day outside away from everyone pretending I'm hanging out with Fred and George at Hogwarts.

On zOMG, there is some retarded glitch where every time you get hit, you stop walking. So I have my finger down on the arrow key, lalala... oh s**t, something hit me. Only I didn't really see it because I was kinda in between screens. So now I'm sitting there for a while, because I just thought it was a lag spike and didn't release and re-press the arrow key. And pretty soon I'm really ******** because the rest of the mob has caught up. gonk

I can train aggro to an extent which makes going through most areas fine, even with my retardedly low CL. Actually, movement in general in zOMG sucks pretty hard, so I guess I don't notice it. Man, nice job ripping off Blue Sub 6 for the aquarium too. I thought they saved that kind of stuff for the monthly items and RNGs.

I need to make a new set of friends. I'm kind of tired of dealing with the self-centered lesbian crap; neither one of them respects each other and their entire group has more cheating and s**t going on than a Mexican soap opera.

Goddammit. I had written out this big old long post on Catcher in the Rye, back when that was relevant to the thread, and somewhere between hitting "Reply" and hitting "Submit" is when our internet decided to s**t the bed, and then after Verizon "fixed" it, the wireless was still down for 2 days. And now I can't remember what I was going to say, and it isn't current anymore ANYWAY, and basically my point here is that when we re-created our network, husbinator named it "Verizonsucksgreasyballs."
p.s. Jaho, are your friends locking each other in rooms with deadly spiders? That's the only telenovela thing I remember, and it was awesome. Plus the girl locked in with the spider was in a wheelchair.

Holy hell... the things you can find on the internet. I know my mom bought me those pandas for Valentine's Day when I was a kid - they used to be in my room. But when I showed them to her, she didn't remember them.
But the supposed date is 1990 and we had an Avon lady that was always harassing us until I was 7 or so, so I KNOW I had those. Wonder what happened to them...

kerminatrix p.s. Jaho, are your friends locking each other in rooms with deadly spiders? That's the only telenovela thing I remember, and it was awesome. Plus the girl locked in with the spider was in a wheelchair. At least then it might go away. Then again, they're doing a pretty good job of ignoring me. Which the odd thing is, they'll send me messages, but then they won't reply to me when I respond. Only occasionally they'll respond to things I send them. Bleh. It's rather annoying. Plus I want to get out of this apartment and do something.
