"Well yeah we could, and just because that thing was up in the tree didn't mean I was in anger or anyone else was Hitana. It's a demonic fruit bat you killed half fruit bat half demon. If anything the fruit was at risk." Sardin said looking to the creature before looking at her.

Sardin's mother huffed slightly. "The more you kill things that is just there Hitana the more that might come around and trust me. Some things out there you don't want coming closer to investigate why it's baby was just killed. Which that thing was a 1 year old creature. It is a Zangoose fruit bat demon.

It only attacks fruit. how ever it's father the demon that created it eats humans. Though if your not familiar with the way that things demonic parent works..." She said taking a stone carving into it with her fingernail that was more claw like than a fingernail tossing it at Hitana's feet and it started glowing and a screaming sound under Hitana vibrated through the ground and trailed off into the distance.

"A young woman as yourself Hitana should know to not just act harshly. Thankfully you will be heading away from the demon lands once you leave here to travel for the next 4 hours to the town." Sardin's mother said calmly childing Hitana on jumping to attack at first sight.

Sardin spoke up softly. "It wasn't the rock that screamed. I was a demonic creature that was sneaking up under the ground to pull Hitana into the ground and hurt her for hurting his baby." Sardin said once everything was finished and the night well into the start of the evening he doused the fire and stretched. "Well we should get back on the road probably."

Sardin said as he got the horses hooked back up and then walked to the creature taking the body to the river and placed a few odd colored almost as if they glowed faintly around it. Then he walked back getting the tarp and collected it before picking Hitana up putting her on the wagon he drove. Even if it was against her will.

Sardin's mother spoke up now and walked up slapping Sardin upside the back of the head. "That is a demonic energy banishment stone. It chased the demon that was moving underground slowly to grab you away. Keep it close to you Sardin can keep them away with his stench. Demons and dragons are natural enemies though dragons are stronger. To be near a dragon even if it is sleeping is enough to keep demons away." She said advising Hitana about this and smirked as Sardin got into the back not even flinching from the slap to the back of his head.

Ignoring and not acknowledging it happened. "You drive Hitana. Just head straight till you hit the road and follow it. And it will be the right road at the fork we need to travel." He said and sitting in the back of the wagon he put what looked to be a western cowboy like hat design on his head tipping it down over his face.

As they moved a pale green light flashed and the body that was charred had regenerated and the creature got up shrieking and zoomed right for a fruit tree grabbing a fruit and hiding in the tree munching the fruit. As a black stone fell from the sky dropping near Sardin's hand radiating with a dark but peaceful energy.

Sardin started snoring out cold it seemed. After a few hours Sardin woke up yawning and picked the stone up that had fallen next to him and placed it in a pouch. "You don't have to go so fast you know." Sardin said acting as if still quite tired. "If you are worried about the demons they don't come down the right road. There is a natural stone down this path that keeps them away." He said as he moved his hat a little looking up to the sky.

"Pull off the road to the left side and stop something seems off Hitana." Sardin said not liking how the moon was going down so fast it seemed and jumped out of the back of the wagon putting the tarp up like a large tent as he watched the sky frowning. Pulling a few odd gems out threw them into the air only one seemed to stick into the air and he sighed.

Taking a pale green crystal out he charged it with his energy and held it floating above his hands watching it. Suddenly it shot into the air discharged what looked like red lightning and fell looking black and charred. Then he started writing in his note pad and seeming quite agitated.

Sardin then took out a few viles gathering loose dirt into them and added three drops of different liquids to the dirt watching if they turned color. One did and turned a dark purple in color and Sodain shook his head as he looked to Hitana "It would be best if we tried holding still as much as possible right now. The faster we move the actual slower we move.

We should had been at the town by the time I woke up. I looked at my hourglass to see this." He said showing it to her the sand started out pouring normal but because it moved fast it was effected. And soon each grain of sand was visible to the naked eye moving very slowly as if it was slowing down as if the time of the flow was effected by something slowing the sands movement flow down drastically.

"It seems to be a time dilation effect the faster something moves the slower it actually travels. And this is bad. Did you notice though there is no air flow around here either? This is an effect of elementals waging war upon themselves. it is to try killing the ones who have offended the other elements. But for them to fight each other there has to be a strong dark influence involved." Sardin said sighing looking and the purple coloring soon fades after about 45 minutes.

Sardin shook his head a bit "I am not sure right now but this should not take too long to pass. Though it might be more like a corrupted elemental that just needs cleansed or perhaps an area needs cleansed I will investigate it. though as it seems to be passed now its too close to day break to go out unprotected in this heat." Sardin said noting there was too much light out as they caught up to the rst of the world it seemed.

Sardin shook his head a little. "I am not sure as those element stones are drawing upon her powers she might not be strong enough. And I would not want her overdoing it. But if it is where some dark things occurred in the naturally formed shrines, there are places the elements had set up to gather energy for them to use it is referred to as the hearts of an area.

Most humans also made worship places to pay homage to the elements. Though if corrupt humans would say find the hidden places of the elementals and offer living sacrifices to the elements it can corrupt the energy and in turn corrupt or anger the elementals. However the only time other elementals would turn of another is if the uncorrupted elementals attacked to try killing or cleansing their fellow elemental that has become corrupted.

So yes that time dilation could happen again. If its the area like the grounds in this energy gathering place the lord elementals made. Well I would be able to purify the area easily. So no worries there." Sardin said explaining this.

"If it was intentional it would be in constant effect. So because it's intermittent to us being 45 minutes, that relates to actually 4 hours 50 minutes from the time I noticed something was wrong. So I am estimating it lasted 5 hours specially seeing the span of the moons travel.

But if it was intentional we would had been still in that state and people moving fast like vampires would have surrounded us even if they was mortal that is how fast they would have moved. Because if it was intentional there would have been people not effected by it.

Though it begs the question if indeed it was intentional as I am seeing something odd out closer to town if it was not a temporary warning by an element but I can not hear their voices here." Sardin said sighing and put his hand to a stone and focused trying to send a message grabbing his head he buckled to his knee wincing in pain.

"I just tried sending a message to the earth elementals and it felt like I was filled with pain and agony. Go check on Lyra to make sure she does not try to talk to them. And if needed to see if she can severe or restrict the power she gives the water stones." He said taking an odd looking armlet out of his hip pouch unwrapping it and sighed looking to it.

But then he moved it close to his arm and it sprang to life digging into his arm the gem seeming to nearly fuse to his arm. Once he did this Olandrik appeared and just glared at Sardin. "Fool why did you...." Then Olandrik shut up and went wide eyed feeling the energy in the land instantly levitating off of it.

Olandrik looked at the water skins and took out 3 of them handing them to Hitana. "Let me see her. I being my magic is bound by earth mostly I can not stand foot on the ground. Or it will be drawn out of me. Let me in there Sardin go to Lord Aliada." Olandrik said demanding to see Lyra holding the water skins with the special spring water to be used for trade originally.

"I am already on my way father. Hitana you and the non magical guards need to guard Lyra I will bring something back to help one way or another." Sardin said getting a stern look on his face and shifted into what almost looked like a Naga like form no legs just a serpentine body that was speckled with the ruby gemstones sparkling on his body as sunlight touched them.

Darting off towards the way they came from zooming as the sound of electrical sparking came off and faded with the sparking dust cloud created from Sardin moving so fast. Having such speed powered by his lightning Olandrik cursed under his breath. "After all that was done to remove that from him the fool re-added it to himself. What in the hell is he thinking." He muttered watching Sardin zoom off then once out of the dry lands enough took to the air.

Once high enough he started swirling into the air faster and faster the spinning circle shrinking the faster he went until there was a odd sound of an electrical explosion like effect as a wave of energy flowed outward from that fairly strong winds to reach that far into the dry lands. But as the sound was made there was a blip of light and then nothing where Sardin used to be in the sky. Olandrik muttered under his breath almost. "Show off"

Once Sardin reappeared he was a long ways away in the heart of the demon lands. Just walking like he wasn't afraid of anyone once he landed. He changed back into his human form. Walking past large clusters of demons tearing at things they hunted down to eat. He walked up to this black crystal like formation and stood there watching the guards who blocked his path.
