Miluiel frowned slightly when her brother was mentioned. She knew that as far as his political views he was a strange one. Her forehead was wrinkled, and her expression was very disturbed. "A military?" She asked. "What is he planning? Is he planning a war?" Miluiel knew her brother has once been a sweet kid. He had loved them all dearly at one point. Once he had left though the family had distanced. "Please, it's alright, I am very thankful for all of the information that you have for me. Please don't feel restricted to speak what you're feeling."
Miluiel sighed. "Azrael, I have told you many times that our roots are very different. I was lost when we decided we would be married and that I would be living here. It has been very hard to transition, but I understand both a good deal better now. Some things are the same, but a good deal is different as well." She said looking over at her husband.

Lauvel sighed and put his arms on the table. "When he first returned, he seemed to be the same person as he was when he had left. In fact part of me is convinced that the old him is still there. It wasn't until he had heard about that army that had tried to set camp on our lands, on their way to these lands." He said softly. "It must have scared him or caught him off guard. If you ask me, its those gray elves that he was sent to for his education. It is in no way my place to make any comments on this, but I think some of their ways must have rubbed off on him." He commented cautiously.
Azrael nodded to his wife and then listened to what Lauvel was saying. The change in Miluiel's brother must have been quite drastic, to spur on this discussion. It reminded Azrael of what happened with his own brother and had to suppress a shudder.
Shinn finished his food and burped contentedly, excusing himself quickly. "Thank you Auntie Mazzia!" Shinn said. "That was yummy!" He told his aunt very gratefully.

Miluiel nodded in solemn agreement. She knew of these elves, she had seen them at the great library in her town. They were strange folk, a type of being she had no care to be around. She didn't have much to say, only thoughts seemed to fill her mind. She sighed. Now she was really quite eager to be going back home. It sounded like things were moving faster than she could have realized. She folded her hands before her, not particularly wanting to bring up the topic of when she and Azrael, and their small family would travel to see her kingdom.
Shera had started out eating quickly, much more quickly than she was prepared for. She eventually had slowed down and now that Shinn was done with his food she smiled happily and began to eat much more slowly before him. This made her all giggly inside. "It's very good Aunt Mizzia!" She exclaimed quite gleefully.

Azrael placed a hand consolingly on top of Miluiel's. He didn't know what he could contribute to the discussion, but he wanted to convey to her that he was there to share her thoughts when she was ready.
Lauvel looked down for a moment and then looked back up with a smile. "But not everything is so bad. He has commissioned several beautiful statues to be sculpted in the town center, and has even helped with the sculpting. He seems to have become quite the artist over his education."
"When can we get started again?" Asked Shinn enthusiastically.
Veral chuckled. "Now, calm down Shinn! Let your food settle a bit. I've scarcely finished eating." He pushed a crude bowl toward the pups. "Drink some water, the both of you. I don't want either of you getting dehydrated during practice. Magic can take quite a lot out of you." He told them, truthfully.

Miluiel started when Azrael's hands touched her own. She looked up at him and smiled kindly. She gave him a nod, a gentle nod that she hoped would convey the message that they would speak more of her feelings once they were alone and not in the presence of Lauvel.
Smiling at the messenger, and good friend, Miluiel nodded. "Well that is good. I am happy that his motives are not purely for more destructive means." Her heart was not at rest yet however.
Shera finished her food off with an enthusiastic lick of her lips. "That is so good Auntie!" She giggled excitedly. Shera stood up and lifted her plate in her mouth. She carried it over to Shinn's plate and lay it down there. She then went to sit beside the water bowl to wait for her older brother to drink from it first. Once he had met his fill then she would enjoy some herself.

Shinn drank what he wanted and stepped back, smiling a Shera at he did so.
"Thank you, Shera." Mazzia said to her niece. "I was happy to get it for you." She told the pups good.
Azrael returned the nod and looked at Lauvel. "So how long do you think the trip would take?" He asked him, curiously.
Lauvel sighed and leaned back a bit, but stopping himself when he realized that he was not sitting in a chair. "I would say about a week and a half, if we were to take the road when he get to it." He said, thinking. "But... if we were to go cross country, we could get there is about six or seven days."

Once her brother was done Shera stepped froward to drink her fill too. The cool liquid felt nice as it slid down her throat after such a wonderful meal. Once she had taken in her fill Shera stepped back and sat down to look up at her aunt with a big goofy smile, and at her teacher. She loved them both dearly, they were her family, and Shinn too, and her mother and father. They were all family, and she loved where they all were right now. There home was all she could hope for. She never wanted to be anywhere other than here. Shera's mind was made up.
Miluiel nodded, there were good and bad things in each situation. In their wold forms the cross country track would not be difficult at all, but Lauvel would be with them too. "Lauvel, how do you think that you would do cross country, would this be a difficult trip for you?" Miluiel asked the messenger.

Lauvel thought for a moment. "I wouldn't have too much trouble going cross country. Seeing as I had to get here quickly as I could without of horse or a spell." He told Miluiel. "I'll be fine with either, method. I can used the trees to help keep pace going through forests."
Mazzia leaned forward and nuzzled her niece. "Your such a good girl. We're are all very lucky to have you two here with us." She said to her sweetly, encouraged by Shera's expression.

Miluiel nodded. "Well that is awesome." She said kindly. "So maybe we could take that road. I imagine it would be safer, and the kids could be a little more free on where they're going." She said looking over at Azrael. Kids were kids after all and they loved to run.
Shera giggled, utterly blissful. "I love you too auntie! I love having you here with us. And I am lucky to have Veral too. He is a great teacher." Shera said looking around at him with the same goofy smile.

Azrael nodded in agreement. "It wouldn't hurt to take the road. The journey would be easier in the end." He said in approval. It gives them a good opportunity to see things that they wouldn't normally see, as well. It would be a good experience for them." He added after giving it some thought.
Touched, Veral scratched behind Shera's ears affectionately. "Thank you, Shera." He said to her sweetly. "And speaking of teaching, are we ready to continue with the lesson?" He asked the two pups.
"I am!" Shinn barked enthusiastically, jumping up on all fours as he did so.

Miluiel nodded. "Yes, and I think the most learning we can fit into this as well would be best. We don't travel often enough." Miluiel said smiling. "I would like for Shera, and for Shinn to see their grand parents again."
If Shera could purr she would have been. She looked back at him so that in her view he was upside down. "Yesh!" She barked. "What are we going to do now?" She asked as lights of joy danced in her eyes.

Azrael nodded. "Its good for them to see their grandparents. And I can't really offer them that on my side." He admitted, with very little of the his family remaining aside from himself and his sisters.
Lauvel smiled at Azrael and Miluiel. "I can tell that you are both good parents to your children." He said to them, complimentary. They really were very focused on their children, and he admired them for it.
Veral chuckled and raised a hand. "Alright, alright, let's calm down. For our next part of the lesson we're going to be working on projecting energy into something." He told his students, as he removed a clear blue crystal from his robes. "What we'll be doing is making light flash from within the stone. I'll demonstrate for you two." Veral held the crystal out in the palm of his hand and concentrated on it, resulting in a bright light emanating from the stone.

Miluiel moved closer to her husband. She lay against his arm, and took his hand in her's. She stroked it gently thinking about the sadness of losing people so close. "It's something to work on, and there will always be stories to have them live by. They are forever immortal." She said as a gentle reminder to Azrael.
Smiling at their guest Miluiel nodded her head in thanks. "That is very kind of you to say dear Lauvel." Miluiel said smiling from her place at Azrael's arm.
Shera quickly turned her body around so that she was comfortably facing Veral when he preformed their next project. She was fascinated with his work and she could not wait to see what would happen. Her eyes fixated on the small blue crystal. When the light flashed from it she was taken by surprise and nearly lost her balance. After the magic was preformed she jumped to all four paws. "We're going to do that!?" She exclaimed excitedly.

Azrael shut his eyes. "Thank you Miluiel. I think tonight I'll tell them one of those stories." He said to her softly. "I don't tell them enough."
Veral smiled broadly and nodded as the light faded from the stone. "That's right, Shera. Your going to be making the stone glow. It will be a bit tricky, but I'll bet you two will get the hang of it quickly." He told them pleasantly. He held the stone out to Shera. "Why don't you start little Shera." He said.

Miluiel nodded. "I would love to sit with you all around the fire in the den and hear one of your stories." she said and continued to rub his hand gently in hers. "Stories are important, let us keep them alive." she said shaking him slightly, but in a motivational way.
Shera blinked, "M-me?" she asked nervously. "B-But how do I begin, what do I start with doing?" she reached out to take the stone in her paw, she wanted to do it, she wanted more than anything to make it glow.
