"Oh yes, must keep up that sculpted techy body so all the other techettes have something to swoon over." Giving a laugh to that she gave a moment to herself to press a button on the cuff on her wrist, getting a layout of vitals on her OODDS. "Because this isn't your normal track usually. And I would hate to see what happened if anyone who didn't know what did what, went on a button pushing spree. I'm here for the privacy, not the challenge level."

Pike chuckled a little bit as Jelena brought up a topic that reminded him of a certain person he met a few hours ago. "Well that is a good reason, but I do so to just keep myself healthy; last thing I need to happen to me is chest pains while I'm lifting something heavy, only to drop it and crush my foot. Still, having techettes swoon over me is a plus, hell it doesn't take much for some reason." He gave a small chuckle to that as he went into the turn, but it was true, Pike didn't have to try much to get any woman to come after him, though he didn't play any of those who came on to him, if they wanted something he would consider it but that was all. But he smirked when Jelena explained the whole button pushing problem. "I only randomly push buttons if I know the place or object to see if I can find whatever I'm trying to do to it. A place like this is better explained to me first, but it's best to tell me what's up soon." By now the sweat was starting to show but Pike paid no attention. "I'm a man of privacy doc, trust me."

James coudl be very quiet when he wanted to be. which was why he was standing by Eric and watching the video playback.
"I didn't know you techies liked watching home made pornography in Echo enclosures."

"Ha, there's a good reason for that. We're all science oriented geeks trapped in the sterile environment of space, seperated by ships and metal and systems. This is not the ideal dating environment, nor are many interested in such. Bogged down in our work we're practically married to it and we dont' look to have flings with mistresses of the flesh and blood kind, least the technology wife find out and make our lives hell. However that doesn't mean we don't get the itch." And why was she talking about such things when her own itch relief source was busy doing freaking extra jobs? Because torment dulled pain most likely.
"You are so fish out of water still. It's kind of cute. But good thing you're not a button pusher here. Unless you'd like to be jumping spike filled pits or running through realitic battlefields. Not my ideal jog, I know that much."
Him and Lilia both startled but while she seemed rather mortified at it all, he was merely laughing. He bad been laughing for some time. "Hey, it's barely classifiable as such. It's all dark, you can barely see anything but an arm or leg here and there, noises, and one very very pissed off echo. Also, I am not a techie. You know that. I'm a First Assisstant, and your boss when it comes to other things. We kinda stumbled on this by accident. Waiting to see how they get out of there. I wouldn't want that thing chasing me after all."

"I imagine they'll get out the same way they got in. the echo is annoyed, but not aggressive. I doubt it'll turn aggressive when they are quiet and trying to leave. you might want to have rennell monitor the sounds they make. with his eye, I bet he could pinpoint which two techs are being foolish."

"Now that is a very good idea. See I knew you were good for something or other when you apply yourself." Poking fun of course because he could. "What are you done tormenting FS recruits and have run out of other people so you're making your usual rounds?"

"Yes, the FS crew learned a lesson in teamwork...the don't need my help at the present in Meta, and i thought I'd stop in with you before heading over to catch Jelena and the new tech on her track holo room. have to make sure your not slacking off too badly. Oh and I wanted to check on any progress with Cerebus and getting her acquainted with her new enviroment, if things are going well."

"Oh Lord, she's hit the track? Woe to the rest of the world I say. Hey, if you find her passed out face first on the floor can you do me the favor of writing something funny across her forehead while she's out? That's always fun but she's wise to me doing it. And with the tech too hm? Careful you know how those techs sniff around for new claims." He stood, stretching out some. "He's right Lilia. We'll get Rennell to do some analysis on the voice patterns and compare to the crew voice logs. Go take a break." Turning his attention back to James then. "She's taken to ripping up trees and arranging them as she likes. She hasn't gotten the whole roots are supposed to go in the ground part all the way yet. But she's learning."

Pike started to chuckle at Jelena's reason as to why those oon the fleet were more willing to hook up so quickly than to take things easy. But his chuckle suddenly turned into a laugh and Pike had to stop running since he didn't want to trip over his own two feet. "God damn it Jelena, thanks for making me loose my pacing there." Pike then placed his hands on his knees and bent down a little bit to catch his breath, it was a good laugh but not at the right time. After he caught his breath Pike stood up straight and streched a bit. "Well my wife, as you put it, doesn't mind me seeing someone else, since if I'm all pent up and frustrated I could hurt her more than actually work with her by accident." He paused for a moment after he did his streches. "You know, I get the itch, but not that often. Usually someone else gets the itch, sees me then gives me their itch." He paused once more before giving a shrug then started jogging again.
But he was bit surprised to hear that there may be a few people who would rather run through a simulated battlefeild than just a normal track, but he did smile at the fish out of the water point Jelena made. "Really? Well as long as I don't get injured for real, I wouldn't mind trying it once, but just once mind you."

James gave a nod and a slight grin.
"well, it's good that she's taking interest in it all the same. but now I think I have a new tech to traumatize for life."
a grin and nod to lilia, before heading heading out to the holoroom that Jelena was in.

While he laughed, she continued to do laps. "Happy to help make myself look better. If I have to sweat, I at least want to be the appealing one." Though she did shake her head as their talk about itching continued. Yup, she was tormenting herself on purpose now she was pretty sure. "Really. Though yes you can get injured for real in these things. This isn't the normal track in the run of a mill gym. This is Meta training areas. Military training, basic other training. You know, that hard stuff? Why am I here besides the privacy? No other reason really. It was an opportunity and I took it to use for myself with the right permission."

"Who said this was a beauty contest Jelena?" Pike smirked a bit and waited until she lapped him before he took off again, and so they were back to jogging side by side. But when she explained that he could get injured, and the real purpose of the whole place itself Pike pouted. "Okay, that really sucks. Aside from just being able to use this on your own, the rest of the options are not worth it." Well it wasn't worth it to him, but he was glad to be able to run around on the track, it helped him to focus a little.

"I'd have to disagree with you, Pike was it?"
Dressed in his military fatigues, and leaning against the doorway a bit just watching, though his fingers were quite close to a certain keypad.
"Military training can produce effects quicker and with higher results. like I bet you'd be sweating a lot more if say the ground was filled with landmines."

"Beauty isn't quite the word. Sweat is only good in certain capacities. This is not one of them." Okay, pain was switching gears now, which was usually a good thing. Plus that whole burning off donuts and coffee she guessed. "I suppose that depends on your definitions and the various options. I rather enjoy mountain trail runs from time to time. It's not all explosions and diving for your life." Though she looked over to the sound of James' voice. Oh lord he was dressed like that again. That could mean anything. "I know that I would be frozen in place, not daring to make a single movement if that were the scenario. Sure, it won't kill you here but you're still going to feel it in the morning. Nothing like a BOOM you're dead scenario to motivate you."

Pike chuckled a little as he kept the pace with Jelena. "Yeah, that's true." Though as the doctor brought up a few ideas that could be used with the whole track Pike thought about it for a moment and nodded. "Yeah, a mountain trail is nice then just staying in a gym, I happen to like the whole running by the beach scenario on the boardwalk." Though when a new voice broke into their conversation Pike looked over to see James standing there and he mentally cursed in his head a bit. "Well you're right about it being for military training, but since I'm not in the military then I rather not be running through a program that has land-mines in them." Though he turned to Jelena and chuckled a little. "I bet a lot of people have made good personal records when knowing that a step can lead to pain is what has to drive them to go through it all."
