Aphrodite was finally getting refocused. She had plugged in her ipod, and was just settling back into work when her music suddenly cut out. ”What the he-“ she muttered, and then her mouth dropped open in shock. It was Ari!

’Something’s going on, Aphrodite, and I don’t know what… but it’s not good. Nikolaus is here, and I think… I think he’s trying to get the attention of the Asgard gods. Whatever it is, you need to be ready, ok? I’ll try to send more if I can…’

It cut off there. So she was alive, but for how long? She’d heard… seen something similar to that before. Nikolaus was going to sacrifice something, and judging by the background noise, he had help. That stupid mortal girl needed to get out of there.

He frowned with disgust as he stood up next to her, his size immense. Tyler was a big guy to begin with, but with Nikolaus's spirit inside he made quite them imposing figure. He sensed the disturbance in the air come from her, an orb of sound speeding off into the distance. He ignored it, being far too late for even the Gods to interfere. Asgard would protect this area from those damned Olympians, they carried the same scorn for them as Nikolaus. "What else do you think you'd be useful in doing? Your just a pathetic sniveling little girl who is love sick. Not much else you'd be good for in my ownership." Then he began walking over towards the platform the demons had built for him quickly to perform the ceremony.

Ari closed her eyes. This was it. She pulled up the orb once more and whispered into it, a single tear rolling down her cheek. She tried to address everyone she could think of, and with a final breath, she blew the little thing off in the same direction as the first. There was no conceivable way anyone could make it now… it was simply too late, and she was resigned to that fact. She was going to die alone, as Nessa always predicted she would.

Aphrodite loosed a cry as she listened to Ari’s message… her final message. No! This couldn’t happen! No, no, no! Aphrodite ran from her office, and tried to compose herself as she entered the cafeteria, tracking Evermore’s aura via their connection. She saw them gathered around the table, and walked up to them. ”Ari… she’s in danger. Do any of you know where she is? She says… she… she…” But for once, Aphrodite was at a loss for words.

Musica was now shaking, actually being filled with terror himself. He was scared for his children, for himself, and for all these people here. He even felt scared for Ari, for he knew her fate was sealed. Musica knew what Nikolaus wanted, since they'd been very close to getting it before. They had failed. "Evermore, please, this involves everyone's lives! You're all in danger here if you stay! Nikolaus has possessed my son and has taken Ari to be his sacrifice. It's too late for her, but I can try and protect you all. I need to see the Goddess, she is the only one I can trust to help me." He was desperate, the fear evident in his voice. After this he would get Luli and go get Bo. Then Sam and he would teleport them to safety. He would remain here to help the others.

On his bed in Mount Olympus, Ares stirred slightly. Something was happening. A battle of sorts... a small one, but one he felt that would matter somehow to him.

He just didn't know how. He wasn't awake enough.

”Evermore!” Aphrodite said, her lips and face stark white, ”For once, I am BEGGING you. Listen to us!" She trembled again. ”Evermore… she asked me to ask you to forgive her. She had something to say to each of you, in fact. But Evermore, she wanted you to forgive her, if you were capable of it.”

Ever stood up from her chair and Raven flitted onto her shoulder immediately. Ever looked seriously at Aphrodite and Musica.

"I can't run away from here. I need to stay here and learn more about the Relic. However, we are going to go rescue Ari. I can't believe you're giving up so soon, Musica. Grow a backbone or stay here."

She immediately started walking away from the table and out of the cafeteria. She figured Aphrodite would follow her and tell her where they should look.
