As she looked up at Selia, her eyes flashed a vivid violet for a moment. She shook her head and forced a smile. "Nothing, Selia." she replied. "We're almost there." she changed the subject. The three boys' mouths gaped open when coming upon the sight of the palace. It was huge. It reminded Boothe of a palace he had seen in a book about Baghdad. The palace was a pure white, with pure gold bowls on top. Emeralds, jades, diamonds, and other amazing jewels covered the palace flatteringly. Crystal clapped her hands together. She hopped off the horse as it moved, unable to contain her excitement and ran to the handsome young man at the front of the palace's gate with wide arms.

A large smile spread across his face. Cameron ran to his twin sister with open arms and immediately pulled her into an embrace once close enough. He held her tight and talked through her hair. "I've missed you so much, Crystal," he breathed out, "You look so different." he smiled as he released her and kissed her forehead. "I'm so glad you're okay." he hoped she wouldn't notice the tears threatening to burst from his blue eyes. The group's horses made it to the siblings. He looked at Valik with uncertainty and quickly moved his gaze to study the rest of them. When seeing Sebastian, he gaped open his mouth. "Sebastian!" he threw up his hands. "It's so good to see you after these years!" there was a raise in his voice. He waved at the crowd of people as the palace gate opened. "Let's go inside! Mother is waiting." he winked at the group as he took his sister's hand and began walking.

Crystal smiled as her brother pulled her along. She turned to the others and motioned them forward. "Come on, come on!" she said sweetly. They burst through the two-story palace doors. A large chandelier with dangling diamonds hung from the thirty foot ceiling. The floor was covered in marble tiles, the walls made of jewels and gold. "Home sweet home!" she said to the group. A group of well dressed servants came from the rose garden and took the horses to the stables. As Valik walked in, he changed to his human form. All three men were awe struck by the shining beauty of the palace. Suddenly a pitter-patter of shoes was heard from the hallway to the right, and out came a middle aged woman in a long elven velvet dress. "Crystal!" she cried as she rushed to her daughter. "Hi, mom." she breathed in her mother's organic perfume. It smelt deliciously of a fresh rain forest. As her mother let go of her, she hugged the others, but kissed Sebastian's cheek. "It's so good to have you all here, you're welcome. You will get fresh clothes, I promise." she winked. "Oh! Where are my manners?" she brushed her red fingernails against her chest. "I am Violet. Though, Sebastian already knows that." she laughed lightly. "I will prepare your rooms. Feel free to tour the home and explore." with that, she strutted off. Crystal crossed her arms and leaned on her right leg. "The style here." she rolled her eyes playfully. She gave information of the palace, saying where the dining hall was, the giant garden in the back, and other treasures of the palace. "I need to go talk with my mother. Cameron will be your guide for now." she winked, then ran off to where her mother had left.

Selia, Ryan, and Valerie all gasped at the extreme decor of the palace. "Gorgeous.." Selia and Valerie said at the same time, then burst into smiles. After Violet and Crystal left, Selia looked around. "So Ryan, who is this?" She asked as she wandered around in a small circle. "Oh! I'm so sorry, I forgot." She walked over to Cameron and bowed, a custom from her kingdom. "You have a beautiful city. Thank you for having us as your guests." She asid humbly, standing straight again and flashing a quick smile.
Ryan waited until Selia was done, then cleared his throat. "This is Valerie. She's..." Valerie smiled. "I'm his fiance." She finished for him, wrapping her fingers with his.

Cameron winked at Selia. "Anything for you, madame." he gently took her hand and kissed it. As he stood, he pursed his lips for a moment. "Princess of Scariville." he sent to her mind in a seductive voice. He then let go of her hand. Cameron's nostrils flared for a moment when seeing Valerie. His fangs grew as he took a step toward her. "You're not welcome here." he said coldly.

Sebastian and Cameron exchanged friendly hugs with laughs. Sebastian raised an eyebrow at Valerie. "I'm Sebastian. Boothe. Valik." he pointed to the boys as he spoke their name. Valik blushed lightly, flattering his cheeks. He waved shyly. He took a step back when Cameron approached her. Though, he felt some odd need to defend her.

Selia flushed as Cameron sent the message to her. "Uh.." She stumbled over the words she could say back, but couldn't think of anything. She turned as he went towards Valerie.
Ryan stepped in front of her. "Well why not?" He said this through gritted teeth, but his jaw unlocked as Selia stood her ground in front of him. Her face was hard, but still blushing pink.

Cameron's gaze dashed to Ryan. "She has dishonored our city and disgraced my family." he said vaguely. "She, herself, is a disgrace." he looked at Valerie with narrowed eyes. He spoke with a strong tone of disgust.

Valik growled, still a human. He was suddenly in front of Cameron, just inches away from his face. "She is with us. So I suggest you give her your welcome." he hissed. His lip curled in anger. Already his claws had grown from his nails, though he was trying to stop from turning.

Cameron laughed. "Or what?" he yelled. "Is the mutt going to scratch me?" his eyes flared red and his fangs were ready for a bite.

Before Valik could attack, Crystal was shoving them away from each other. "Stop it!" she yelled. She huffed as she dropped her arms. "Valerie is not welcome here, that is final." she said seriously, hissing at Valerie.

Ryan turned to Selia. "You're more then welcome to join us." He said, knowing she wouldn't want to be in such an uptight place. Valerie took a deep breath. "You both know it was a scandle. Until you believe that, I will keep fighting back." She turned with her jaw clenched and looked at Ryan. "You can both stay. If I am not welcome, that doesn't mean you have to stay with me outside of this grand place." Valerie hissed the words, ice cold already. Both Ryan and Selia shook their heads. Seeing Selia's reaction, Ryan smiled tightly to her. "Well, I guess we should be going then." He said, taking Valeries hand and exiting the castle with her. Selia turned to the rest of the group and walked over to Valik. "I think you should come too. If you'd like that is." She said quietly, then walked to the door and waited for Valik's decision.

Boothe reached for his brother with a saddened face. Valik looked between the two. "I don't want to leave you again." Valik whispered. Boothe looked at him longingly. "But this is unfair." with a tightened jaw, he followed Valerie and Ryan. Sebastian stepped forward. "Please! We cannot separate." he broke in. He looked at Selia. "Selia.." his voice trailed off, obvious hurt in his eyes. Crystal crossed her arms, still hissing at Valerie. Sebastian turned to Crystal suddenly. "How dare you." he said quietly to her. Crystal's mouth gaped open slightly. She didn't know how to respond. Boothe, agitated, decided to follow Valik and the others. Sebastian shook his head. "Goodbye, Crystal." he said painfully. He walked with the others and whistled for the horses once coming to the door.

Selia sighed. Walking beside Sebastian, she put a hand on his shoulder. "You can go back. We didn't plan on leaving the city, and this is the life you were supposed to have." She whispered, knowing how it must hurt. She dropped her hand and walked over to Valerie and Ryan, blonde mixing in with black as the trio walked. She turned to look at Valik and Boothe. "Thank you though." She said quietly, looking at the ground. No one had ever stuck together in any group she was in like that.
Ryan looked at everyone as they trailed after them, and when Selia came to his other side he gave it a sympathetic squeeze. "You are too devoted Selia. It's almost scary sometimes." He whispered to her, though his eyes never left Valerie. Valerie looked back at Ryan, then at everyone else. "Please. Don't make this bigger then it is. Go sleep in comfort and peace." She said, obviously feeling guilty about being a burden.

Crystal fell to her knees, unsure of what to do. Just as Sebastian turned back, the doors slammed shut. Sebastian pushed away from Selia and crawled onto his horse. Valik helped his brother with getting on his horse. Sebastian's horse walked in front of the others. Sebastian wiped at his eyes. By the time they were off the property, he began coughing harshly again. Valik looked up at Sebastian. "Sebastian?" he said as he reached for him. Sebastian was coughing up blood. He moved his hand to his mouth, trying to hide the blood. "I'm fine, I'm fine," he said, straining his voice.
