Camwen Sammirah i thought i'd posted here already... anyway i go by sammirah, i'm 25, not married, no kids, and i teach english overseas in the middle of nowhere, in a tiny country called bhutan. teaching is tough, life is tough, but i have a feeling i might make some new friends here. oh, and i normally type better, but my shift key is broken, so sometimes i can't make capitals. whee Wow - so you're out teaching English in the Himalayas? That's really impressive. *is impressed* How did you end up there? How long do you plan to stay? It's good that you can still get an internet connection. Anyway, welcome to the guild! I hope you enjoy yourself here. xd Yup-- surrounded by the Himalayan mountain range everywhere you look, which is freakin' gorgeous. I came through a Canadian non-profit organisation that works with the Bhutanese government to bring in native English-speaking teachers to the country. This is my second year, and I'll probably only stay until this year's contract is up, in December. A lot of places are very remote and don't have internet, so I'm super lucky. It's not a fast connection, but it loads Gaia, usually. razz

Years ago was able to spend six months in mainland China but I never was able to get that far West.

There was a group of 14 from the US (not all from the same school) that went there and studied at Nankai University in Tianjin. We took several small trips around the area on our days off. At the end of the session we had a few weeks before returning home and most of us spent it traveling down the Eastern part of China, with stays at the major cities. And then a week in Hong Kong before flying out.

Hi everyone!
My real name is Noel; I'm 29 and live in Toronto, Canada. I've always had a hard time finding places in Gaia that are open to a more adult audience and I'm always looking to see if there are other Canadians and/or others that share my interests.
I also have a brain injury known as Hydrocephalus and also have had a hard time finding a guild that might possibly have members that suffer from brain injuries.
I'm really easy to get along with as long as you're not ignorant. So I hope to meet many fun people here and to also share in some conversation and fun times.

Also, don't be afraid to check out the Berry Patch where you might find random items. We just finished up a game of Capturika but look for a new one each month. Again, welcome! Hey err'one. Name's Mika, people call me Meeks which is how I got my username. I guess I'm one of the younger ones here, I'm 21. Though now closer to 22 than further away. I live in Southern California. I'm an art major, it's going to be my senior year in a few weeks, so big projects coming up. I've become quite feisty lately, I like an actual conversation that doesn't consist of just emotes and silly motions. And, I think my life is really boring and uneventful.
