The dragon disperses quickly and Artemis goes down on one knee. "Hm... still no good. Is there something I can help you with Kristin?" he said, even though he wasn't facing her at all. He slowly stood back up and turned around to look at her.

Kristin was slightly surpised when the spell ended. She searched for a few minutes, trying to find the right words. "Actually, is nothing. I wanted to train a bit and Rydia said you could help", she explained. "But if you cant or dont want to, there is no problem", she added.

Artemis walked over to her. "What do you want do learn?" he said politely. Rydia walked in shortly after he spoke and sat down on a chair against the wall. He looked over at her for a moment before returning his attention to her.

"It's not actually possible for me to teach you everything. Many of my techniques are used to incorporate fire in unison. I also have some spells that are passed down through my clan, the dragon spell you saw earlier is one of those. If you have something specific that you'd like to learn, I can do my best to teach you though." he smiled at her.

"Firomis' wings spell? Please! Please! Please!", she begged him. "It was so beautiful when I saw it!", she said and turned to Rydia. "You should tell him to show it to you. Its really something"

"Oh. Something like that is beyond what I can teach. There is a long complicated process involved in that spell, I can't even tell you where to begin." Rydia stood up quickly. "Firomis has been working on that spell for over five or six years. I don't think it would be that easy to learn it anyway. You need to have a very high magic efficiency also, because that spell uses over half of his total VL. It's not an easy task..." Rydia said, although she looked a bit depressed about it.

Kristin fowned. "To bad. I really wanted to learn that one. I guess I can learn whatever you want to teach me", she said. "Why the long face, Rydia?"

"I kind of want to learn it too." she shook her head and smiled again. Artemis looked quizzically at Kristin for awhile. "Can you create a ball of wind in your hand for a moment?"

She let out a laugh and did as she was told. Sometimes she was good at following orders.

"From the looks of it, I would say you need to work on efficiency training a bit. This isn't an insult to you by any means, but from what I can see your training of efficiency is comparable to that of a lesser or low ranked Magistrate. Though that in itself is something to be proud of. If you have a dream of aspiring over someone like Firomis, I think that dream is beyond both of us. Firomis is a genius when it comes to magic, but don't ever let that discourage you. Hard work and practice can sometimes allow you to overcome even a genius." He smiled for a moment as he looked at her. "Your magic efficiency level would be a four, Firomis is close to becoming an 8. I'll show you a trick to trying to improve your efficiency though." he walked over to a chest and opened it, pulling out a few glass containers before walking back over to her and setting the excess ones on the ground. He took the lid off and put the glass upside down in his palm to where his palm was closing the container up and his other hand was pushing against it to make sure it stayed. "If you push a lot of magical energy into the glass, you can improve your efficiency. Because air is a strange element, this only works for people like us. Eventually, you'll break the glass by filling it too full. If you're too reckless and your efficiency is out of balance, it will break pretty quickly too. The goal is to keep putting energy into the glass as long as possible. For starting out, holding about 25,000 VL of energy into the glass for 5 minutes is a good exercise for level 4."

Kristin nodded and took the glass and did the same as Artemis. When she tried to put air in the glass it cracked within a minute. She sighed and tried again with another one. She was too impatience for this exercise. She maneged to do it correctly the third time.

"This method of training can only take you so far, but if you master it you'll be closer to reaching Firomis. It will only take you to a sixth level of efficiency. After you have mastered 5 minutes of 25,000 a few times a day for a week, you can bring it up to 10 minutes at 35,000 a few times a day for a week. Then it gets harder... The amounts double, going from 10 minutes to 20, and 35,000 to 70,000 a few times a day for two weeks. So, pretty much shoot for a month's worth of time to reach stage 6."

"A month? That won't help if we fight fenix", she complained and kept on repeating the exercise. "I guesse patience is the second thing this exercise helps you achieve", she mumbled.

"It also increases your capacity for magic. Patience is a virtue, and a calm mind will allow you to succeed where others cannot. That is something that Firomis taught me and many others. He's a very wise and understanding person." Artemis looked up at the ceiling for a moment.
