Lieutenant Bloodstone

Ah, so this senshi knew how to fight as well. Perhaps this would be more interesting of a fight than Bloodstone expected. Bloodstone saw the movement in his peripheral vision. The height at which she would have to raise her leg to reach the back of his head at his six foot height gave him an advantage.

Bloodstone ducked as the female senshi (Skoll) aimed her round house kick, pivoting on his feet for a sweeping kick to try and knock her down. So she knew how to kickbox, it seemed. Well, so did he.

Unfortunately, even with the kick not landing the back of his head, he suddenly felt hot and uncomfortable. A sweltering heat overtook him and Bloodstone grit his teeth as he tried to endure the pain. It felt as though he were burning alive.

He crumpled to the ground, clutching at his jacket to try and stop the pain and the heat.

General Benitoite – Getting hit by Ganymede’s attack.

He had been in the middle of slicing open an eternal, from shoulder down to navel, his blade sunk deep into the flesh and they dropped – dead. His weapon once more bathed in blood…the same blood which pooled at his feet and spattered his coat and vest. Wiping a gloved hand on his coat he brought his fingers up to comb through his hair, uncaring or unaware of the blood which now coated many locks of sweat soaked ashen hair.

Turning his gaze to the Lieutenant he shook his head. “We can help her, best we do. We have few of her rank to spare.” And he did like the mint haired General Queen, she was far calmer and more collected than Apatite had been; at least in his opinion. That wasn’t to say he wanted her dead, he didn’t, but it meant that this one meant more to him. “I want you to be careful though, there is a royal involved in that fight and her attacks are painful – I’ve suffered them before and they are similar to being corrupted – if you remember that.” And who could honestly forget the pain which came from that?

“Think of burning from the inside and you’ll get a good idea of what she can do.” He said wanting to prepare the Lieutenant incase Ganymede decided to use her magic on them, whether as a group or she decided to target him or his Lieutenant. He wanted the other ready, even if he physically could never be ready for it he’d at least understand it. Her magic hurt – a lot, it was the worst in terms of pain that he’d ever dealt with. Mentally though Kallichore was up there, but he hadn’t seen her in a very long time – good. He did not like spiders and always with her magic it was what he saw.

Moving through the fighting bodies he glanced back to make sure the senshi that was with them was still with them, and took note of her hitting another senshi as she got them out of her way. A look of approval flashed across his features for a moment before his face went cool and calm once more, it was his eyes alone which gave away how much anger and rage filled him at the moment. “Katya…you should get off me and find a safe place…I won’t have you at risk of her magic.” He said and shrugged the cat off his shoulders, as she seemed to almost want to argue him as she dug her claws into his coat and cape further. With her on the ground he motioned her away. “For your own safety. I won’t have you being attacked by that senshi.” He stated with a certain amount of dislike, and hate, coating his words.

Once Katya had taken off, hopefully for somewhere safe, he turned his attention back toward the general Queen as he headed for her. Grabbing a senshi by the throat, as they came at him, his weapon vanishing so he could shift his hold from left hand to right hand. With that done he exerted what force he could and smiled at the panic stricken face and wide eyes. Watching as they seemed to realize the danger they were in. Lifting them off the ground, as they were his height, he let their body drop after he felt their neck gave under the pressure he put on it. Wide eyed and unmoving, unbreathing, he left them there. “Take their starseed.” He called to the dark pink haired corrupted over. Stepping over the body he continued on his way until he was no longer walking.

The feeling of overheating, like his uniform could cause in the summer, crept up on him in a wave which crashed over him and left him swaying for a moment as he reached up with a gloved hand to loosen the jabot about his neck. Letting the fabric, weighed down by the large blue stone, fall to the ground. His gloves came off also before he took a deep breath to try and fight off the heat. He should not be this hot so suddenly, he knew he’d get warm and hot while fighting as it was a given considering his uniform, this was not normal.

It was when the feelings started and the burning came with it, dropping him to his knees as he curled in on himself, that he understood and knew. From where he was folded on the ground he raised his head, slate eyes narrowed toward the royal. “Her…” The word hissed out past his teeth filled with such loathing. He hoped the General Queen killed her…ripped her apart limb from bloody limb because if Laurelite didn’t he would! He would find her and wrap his hands about her pretty little neck and drag her back to the darkness of the Rift and feed her to a Great Youma – piece by piece.

Growling in anger he shifted along the ground, he hated this. He needed this to pass so he could get up off the ground. A cry of pain and a whimper passed the Generals lips as he shook on the ground. Holding onto himself he kept his head tilted in the direction the Princess was, eyes narrowed, he was going to help his General Queen take the Princess out.

Katya, towards the edges of the fighting and falling to Ganymede’s spell.

Perched carefully, her claws helping a lot, on her Generals shoulder she managed to keep attached to him despite all the jostling of him fighting. She had watched him take down several senshi and knights and verbally commended him for it. Praising him, as if he needed it, she was proud of him and wished she could join in but doubted her claws would do much and that would mean getting in very close to a senshi or knight who was engaged with someone, like Benitoite, and she could get hit with friendly fire and she didn’t want that. She did not want to accidentally find herself victim to a weapon like Benitoite’s – nope, not a good idea.

When he decided he was going to help the General Queen she nodded her head, approving of the idea, but soon after was starting to shake her head. Claws tightening in his uniform so he couldn’t’ remove her, but instead he was shrugging her off and throwing off her balance as he did so just as she was adjusting and tightening her hold on his uniform. Falling to the ground she landed on all fours and stared up at him. If this wasn’t such a big battle, and he wasn’t going toward a Princess, she would have protested that he didn’t need to treat her like a child – much less his! She didn’t complain though and nodded her head, knowing he wouldn’t continue on until she was on her way to somewhere safer.

She had taken off from him, hoping he and the other two would be alright, when she started to feel warm – too warm and then she was burning up and her little legs were giving out. With a loud mew and a pained sound the Russian blue landed on the ground shaking and panting. Was Benitoite suffering this? Was Valeria? What about that Lieutenant. What about the General Queen!?

Corrupted Sailor Valeria – near Benitoite and on the ground.

She wasn’t looking to get into a fight, that wasn’t what she wanted to di, she wanted to keep close to the General and the older Lieutenant as both seemed far more capable than she did. Not just because both were more willing to fight but also because the two were better at it. She was no fighter, never having a need to learn to nor ever wanting to, she felt rather lost and out of sorts…like the one that stood out in a room filled with people. Similar to if everyone wore one color, all the same outfit, and she was in a neon color and in a different style. Yes, very similar to that was how she felt right now. She didn’t feel like she belonged or should be here…she wasn’t part of the team that the Negaverse was.

While her mind wandered she pushed people out of her way, shoving, kicking, and hitting people till they were out of her way she did not engage any in a fight as she kept pace behind the General. Watching him address the Lieutenant, she had seen the starseed the Lieutenant had taken, she heard the Generals words to his cat as well and watched as Katya took off as she was sent away by the petite blond. If it was this dangerous should she…before she could even think further her legs were moving and following him – still.

She’d have continued like that had she not started to feel warm, not like she had back home, but it was like being warm inside…not like the sun kissing her dark skin. No, this was uncomfortable and soon, quickly, it became unbearable and as it intensified her knees gave out and dropped her to the ground. When she had bitten her bottom lip, hard enough to draw blood, she didn’t know but she could taste it even as she lay on the ground a mess of pain and shaking as she wasn’t sure if she wanted to curl up or try and stretch out. The ground should be cooler – right? There was blood on the ground by her…but the grounds coolness did nothing for her. Whimpering she felt her fingers claw at the ground as if it would help in some way, yet she knew it would do nothing for her. What was this?? This was unbearable!

Venice of Ganymede, with Phact’s group – next to Erebus

While he headed himself and Erebus closer to Phact’s group, closing the gap which had formed, he too took notice of the Mars Knight but paid it no mind – he didn’t know them. This was also a big battle with people moving all over the place so he doubted there was any reason behind it other than working together. No friendship was needed right now. Actually the only thing needed was the same want to live and escape, and some magic, and that was it – alliances could and would form.

“New person to team.” He said nodding his head once. He didn’t like where this battle was going, especially as he saw officers dropping all around them. “Should run for it now…all of us.” He said picking up the pace and tugging Erebus around with him as he made for Phact and that group. “let’s run…while they down…” He said nodding. “At least get close to portal…further form officers.” Less fighting to do. “Everyone here?” He asked Phact, even while he wanted to continue running and pulling Erebus with him for the portal.

Squire Delphi of Polaris, with Phact’s group carrying starseed bundle.

Seeing the other knight join the group Delphi moved closer to see what it was that he was carrying. She was carrying the starseed filled jacket, though it seemed Sabine had some more of the rescued starseeds. “What is it that you have?” She asked the red clad Mars Knight, only half paying attention as her lavender eyes were darting about to make sure nothing surprised her and came for the starseeds she was trying to sneak out of here.

“We can make a run for it now…” She said looking at the officers who seemed to be jusr dropping like fish. “This’ll let us put some distance down and close the gap between us and the portal.” Hopefully it would also keep them safe from the General Queen and the youma, she could hope – right?

Eternal Sailor Athene -- by Ananke and Subamara as well as any from his group that followed after

The red and orange-haired senshi (Ananke) that he had been heading towards didn't appear to have noticed him, although it seemed as Subamara may have as she started running in his direction.

Athene kept running as the red and orange-haired senshi appeared to be looking around her, almost as if searching for something, doing the best to use the speed that he had as an eternal to cross the distance separating them as quickly as he could.

He was roughly in earshot distance when he heard Ganymede use her Royal attack and saw Nega-Officers start to crumple.

However, as with when she had used it when she had used it on Maia, some Order members appeared to be crumpling under its power as well.

And he realised that red and orange-haired senshi had finally noticed him as she had turned and was looking in his direction and so he waved to her as he called "We're trying to make for the portal" half turning to point behind him to those from the group he was with who had decided to follow. "Please come with us."

And then to Subamara he called "Subamara over here!" Waiting until the curly-haired senshi had joined him to tell her and the red and orange-haired senshi "We need to go."

He was looking round for those from the group as he spoke, noticing that Liryn, Eleonora and Alcor were heading towards him and calling out again for both theirs and the benefit of those of the group that had also followed after him "We need to try and head for the portal whilst the Negaverse is being affected by Princess Ganymede's magic" adding "And also we should try to help any senshi and or knights who we come across and who have been affected by the Princess' magic to do the same."

Because Athene had a feeling that this was going to be their best chance to get out.

Myrrha, Basic Senshi (Scents) - defending against Marcasite and maybe attempting to retreat

She had gotten her feet unsteadily. Her gaze had been wary as the officer had also bounced back. Her opponent was just a lot quicker getting her own feet than Myrrha had been. Myrrha did not have the proper training for combat. As Marcasite lunged towards her again she thought about what strike would hurt her more. There was not enough time to block both punches that were coming her way. The scents senshi knew this and taking the risk brought both of her hands up in time to catch the lieutenant's strike towards her face. The ramification of this was it left her gut exposed.

The sensation of having someone drive their fist into one's stomach was a new one for Myrrha and as she stumbled back struggling to breath she could indeed say that it was something she never wished to experience again. Agony radiated from the area that was struck. Her breathing was labored as she struggled to catch her second wind. It was all she could do to remain standing. Her gaze flicked to the side as a nameless officer fell to the ground nearby, and Myrrha hunched over, began to realize that something else was going on. Gingerly she straightened and kept her gaze locked on the officer she was fighting. Would it be overkill to hit her again with her attack?

Her breathing began to even out and even as she mentally prepared to use her attack again she realized that more individuals had fallen to their knees. Perhaps discretion was the better part of valor. Still shaken Myrrha began to back away from Marcasite. Slowly her steps took her further and further away and out of striking range.

Corrupt Eternal Sailor Cyllene -- on the floor sobbing uncontrollably in a confused, murderous fit ??????

There was too much going on at once.

The blonde spun to stare at General-Queen Laurelite for a brief moment before she turned to face Ganymede and Valhalla once again. She had to make a choice, and she had to make it now. The Princess was gathering a group of people to fight with her, and the White Moon was actually following orders and working together-- something she had never seen done when she herself was one of them.

Everything was happening too quickly.

As Ganymede was getting ready to do whatever it was that she had planned, a youma came chomping at Cyllene's heels and the Corrupt quickly muttered her first stage attack, kissed the palm of her hand and as she blew the kiss she spat acid in it's awful glowy eyes. The creature shrieked and doubled over, Cyllene's blue eyes glancing at the General-Queen, hoping against all odds that she didn't see her.

That was when she heard her-- These assholes took down Apatite. -- a Lieutenant calling out, coming to her aid? Coming to Laurelite's aid, likely. In that moment, Cyllene decided that she just couldn't let that happen. As she reached out to grab the Lieutenant, she heard Ganymede's voice before she suddenly felt ... Felt what? What was that? The typically naive, bubbly Corrupt suddenly felt a deep, burning desire to destroy her enemies. What made that... Complicated, to say the least, was that Cyllene couldn't decide who exactly her enemies even were.

Fortunately, there was little time to consider who the hell she wanted to kill because the pain that radiated through her, burning her at her very core, was absolutely excruciating. The room was spinning and everything was hot and she was pretty convinced that her insides were on fire. Like, actual, literal, legit fire. As Cyllene screamed an awful high-pitched scream, she grabbed for the Lieutenant [Vegemite] and plunged her hand into her chest-- she desparely needed to satiate the desire boiling in her blood and even more than that, she couldn't let the other girl stop Ganymede.

No matter what.

With fingers wrapped tightly around Vegemite's starseed, Cyllene sobbed and pulled her hand free. As she did so, she curled in on herself and screamed a second time, clutching the starseed in one hand and clawing at her clothing and her skin with the other because it was too. ********. Hot.

Lieutenant Banananite (disposable) - Getting thoroughly destroyed by chibi gang.

Once the assault began, Banananite knew he had less than a snowball’s chance in hell of making it out of this confrontation the victor. Though they were tiny and almost adorable in their tenacity, the chibis outranked he and Birbite by at least two to one. It began when their cat distracted him, earning all of Banananite’s attentions - thus taking it from the kids.

Wrong move, the kick to his shins told him. Then there was the snap to the head from a ribbon, the ball of goop, and the combined overwhelming force of very angry children. Disregarding and underestimating them for their age had been stupid, arrogant. After all, these kids had somehow made their way into the Chaos castle. Hindsight was a b***h.

Banananite feebly attempted to retaliate, throwing out open palmed punches coupled with pathetic, shrill screeches and what sounded like light sobbing in between. He hated fighting - and he especially hated losing. It all came to a rather pathetic halt, though, when the Lieutenant slipped on his own banana peel from earlier.

The man was out cold.

Laurelite's breathing suddenly seemed strained. She was still moving slowly, but her speed was gradually picking back up as the magic on her wore off. Her hands clenched into fists at her side and she trembled, summoning her weapon back to her.

While she could not have moved as quickly as she liked, she watched.

And her mind processed at it's normal speed.

She remembered the face of every person who used magic on her. Of every person who schemed against her.

Ganymede's smile infuriated her, but throughout it all she kept a cool, emotionless mask.

Even when the princess used her magic, she did not shy away.

Her blood was boiling; it felt like her skin was melting right off her body.

But Laurelite only gripped her scythe so tightly that her knuckles were almost pure white. She trembled in pain, but she never winced.

She stared Ganymede in the eyes, and then she smiled, softly.

A cold sweat covered her, but she stood tall, and proud. She made no effort to attack; Porrima's magic might have rendered her physical attacks useless, but she did not have the capacity to even attempt such as she struggled to fight against Ganymede's magic.

She knew it would end.

That was the thing with Senshi and Knight magic—they always ended. They weren't reliable, like the cold scythe in her hands. The scythe that would slice through all of them.

One. By. One.

And slowly, she felt the magic tapering off. Slowly, it didn't feel like she was weighed down, or like she was running through a storm or trying to trek through deep water. Or like her blood was boiling.

She was tired, but persistent, and even after all the magic, she was still on her feet.

"Nice try," she crooned, voice softer than she would have liked.

But that meant everyone was fair game, now that she could strike again.

It started slowly—a few knights and senshi within reach. Some managed to elude her; she was still stumbling around, trying to shake off the unwanted effects of her enemies' magic.

Cyllene was lucky Laurelite failed to see what she was doing—or, perhaps, Laurelite was simply saving reprimand for a more appropriate occasion.

Instead, her eyes settled on an obvious target: poor, innocent Harmonia, who had helped that damned princess, and was right in front of her.

And Laurelite laughed. She did not have to teleport to reach her; Laurelite moved like a shadow in a storm. She was fast, and fleeting, and one second she was feet away and the next she had her hand on the girl's neck.

"I do not forget the faces of those who stand against me," she warned coldly, suddenly gripping Harmonia's neck tighter. She slammed her into the ground violently, but did not stop there.

"Death would be kind for you. But I will let you live to regret what you have done this night."

Her hand shot from the girl's neck to her chest, and mercilessly she plunged it into her. Laurelite did not need to search for the starseed, she found it instantly.

Usually, her corruptions—even forced—were kind.

But she had no patience and no mercy tonight. She gripped the starseed hard enough that she could have easily cracked it, and she consciously stabbed the chaos into the senshi.

Her scythe was out—a tool to force others to keep a distance, and to give her the advantage of first strike for anyone who thought to intervene.

She was tired, now, but it was only physical, and only in her mind, she told herself.

Giving into it was not a luxury she could afford.

Too many people needed to die before she could rest again.

Harmonia was only one of many. Even as she continued to pump Chaos into the girl, her eyes scanned the crown for Glitnir.

And then she'd have to pay back Gevaudan.

Her list of targets were growing by the moment.

Lt. Prehnite - Bring it O-Oh God It Burns! Why!?

Prehnite returned the grin, though his eyes read '********'. He wished the man hadn't dodged, but that was what he got for announcing himself first.

If this guy hadn't been a Senshi, hadn't been standing, not quite, in the way of his real target. Prehnite might have liked him, certainly the way he spoke. It was never often enough that he ran into enemies with manners..or even ones that understood basic introductions. He barely ran into friends that had the concept down!

Had the guy just rhymed? Ok that was just ******** adorable, and clever. Clev-dorable? "Prehnite, Lieutenant of fch-* " He nearly bit into his own tongue when the wave of power hit him. A sudden feeling, similar to catching a fever, and then it grew...

Prehnite's trowel slipped from his grasp entirely, unable to focus on his new target as he dropped to his knees and clutched at himself, gasping for breath that had just been there a second ago.. "Hot..wh-what.." Voice pitched in a strangled, angry scream; and then he knew he was lying in the dirt. Writhing in it as he experienced this brand new pain. He couldn't understand it, why his blood had suddenly turned traitor on him, like he was boiling from the inside out..

Of all the things he'd ever wished for, being able to sympathize with lobsters was not one of them.

Newgrange, Squire of Earth

Newgrange took a slow step backwards, hands held up as if in surrender. "I'm not doing anything," he insisted, seeming a bit alarmed at how many people suddenly seemed like they were in immense pain. It took him a good few seconds to realize that it was mostly the Negaverse—and it didn't seem like he felt affected at all. Which was a relief, because it gave him a very good opportunity to get away.

"Look," he tried again. "I'm really sorry about all of this. Won't happen again. You two should just, ah…yeah. Like I said, take it easy. Go home, sleep it off. I'm sure you'll be fine in the morning."

While they were both down, he took the opportunity to move quickly past Jet, eager to be away from his slashing blades. It didn't matter if the guy was slow and hobbling around, he was still wielding deadly weapons.

He nodded to Aquamarine apologetically and then tried to sprint past them.

Castor

Of all the thing he'd been expecting, it had not been this. It had not been seeing them fall as whole, crumbling in pain. The sudden presence of a crystal was hard to miss, and the wash of energy even more so. Power was power, and from what he could tell, this was a power that would get them killed. That would kill those who had potential and who had resolve. Being prone would get a person killed here, no matter who's side they stood on.sw There were those who stood as he did, unaffected- but to many now writhed in pain. Order and Chaos alike.

Whatever Ganymede had done, she'd put them in danger. Whatever the power of her crystal was- she either did not know what it did, or had no control over it. From experience, Castor assumed both. More pressing, he knew what happened when power branched and resonated.

They were in the center of Chaos, they were in a place that had youma; great, powerful, and deadly youma that not even generals or general kings could command rested.
And Ganymede had used her crystal, which had in turn crippled her allies and only a fraction of their enemies. Everything here was against them- he suddenly felt a wave of helplessness.
The portal was blocked, and they were running our of time. The agents did not matter- the portal did.

He kept fighting, hearing the sound of bones breaking, feeling the warm sticky blood that sprayed out, clothing his clothes and skin.

Each time he saw someone, they were either looking as frantic as he felt, or, they were in pain. This was less a battle, less a war- this was a pointless endeavor, made on the will and whim of vengeance. They'd come to kill Metallia, and he knew it had been a fool's errand. He knew that it could, would get people killed uselessly. They'd come to kill and be slaughtered.

Dark blue eyes widened as Castor spun, his tiara once more cast into a swath of youma. There, under the general queen was why he felt he had failed somewhere. Where they had lost whatever they might have obtained.
The balance would always try to regain what it lost. And Chaos had just lost a host of great power. He didn't want to think about it, have it bag at him but even as the battle raged on he could feel the seeds of doubt and despair growing.
A royal was supposed to protect their people. The only people Castor had left were the senshi and now he watched, helpless, knowing that there would be nothing he could do. Nothing but try to fight. To kill those that they must and try to salvage what they could. To try and not let themselves be killed.

The senshi the general queen was corrupting was a lost cause. Perhaps one day, but not now. It was already too late.

He wasn't going to risk drawing a greater youma, not yet. They still had a chance and he still had a dozen gambits working to risk collapsing them for a fraction of progress that could be drive out and ********." He hissed, considering his options. He still had to deal with Alkiad, with obtaining his answers, and he still had to see just how far they'd gone.

Power called to power, and he hoped in a small way, that he'd not be wrong.

"General Queen!" He called out over the battlefield.

"Would you rather not have a royal as your trophy?" Dark navy wings spread outwards as he made the mocking bow.
"Charonite failed to corrupt me. Beryl failed- do you think you can do better than them?" He smirked.
"Or will you pass on the opportunity to give Metallia the one senshi who's evaded her control for years?"

"Try me."

"Holy s**t, where the hell did you find those?"

The first time they'd met, he'd done his damnedest to cut down on the cussing, since Sabine made great and visible effort to be a lady, but right now, it was the last thing on his mind. "Good damn job!"

Talk about 'saving souls'... this was the most literal equivalent of that he'd seen. Even with the chances slim of finding the right body to go with each, it was a better fate to see them to the Cauldron than to leave them with the Negaverse. It had never occurred to him they might stockpile the fragile things, he knew they faded, but wasn't sure if they could from here. If they did...

... He wasn't going to think about that.. He definitely wasn't going to tell HER that.

Then something went abruptly ... awful. Or at least more personally awful than it had a moment ago.

The exact events were somewhat blurred. He remembered Ganymeade shouting, saw Asterion's fading flickers as he felt his magic beginning to run out, and then his veins were on Fire.

He'd never fully let Asterion just... run out of energy before, pain does very little toward supporting rational thought, so there was a dizzying confusion, wondering if perhaps it was somehow because of Asterion, or perhaps the Code, sensing what they were doing and acting out in tainted fury, it was difficult to imagine at all that he was not, in fact, literally on fire, let alone remember he actually had learned once that Ganymeade could do this. Not that he blamed her.

If you wanted to throw most of your enemies to your knees... it was a damn effective way to do it. It might have done what he couldn't, and cleared a path, but for him...

He wasn't sure he could do much more than -crawl- in that direction suddenly, knees barked on the rough ground and bleeding, and clutching the orb of the Code like Janet clutching burning Tam Lin.

He wasn't even sure if he was screaming or not, or even making the kind of creeping progress he was struggling to.

If he made it out, he was going to have to congratulate that woman. It really was one HELL of an attack.
