Sodain nodded as well stepping inside. then shielded himself. "Hey now watch the water works from your hair would ya?" Sodain said laughing a little making a joke.

Niados sighed and grumbled. "Oh good I been itching for a good fight." at the mention of his light half. but ignored the other mentions.

The inn keeper nodded to Lita. "Yes ofcourse and such a strong storm as well. Blocked the barn with my erhm daughter inside with the animals by blowing over a tree."

Niados tried opening a portal but every attempt failed causing him discomfort. "It's no good the only thing I get trying to open a portal is feeling like I am about to get ripped apart, Something is preventing me."

The Innkeeper spoke softly. "Oh I would not want to put guests out by having them work specially in this weather."

Sodain laughed a bit. "It wouldn't be any trouble. A child being trapped away from their parents is not a good thing." Sodain said then turned around to go back outside. "Worry not for she will be safe soon back in the warm light of the care of her parents away from darkness. But to be safe you should wait here" he said glancing over his shoulder more to Arosa with his silver and red eyes.

Sodain then spoke softly to Lita's mind. "Keep an eye on her and the humans." then opened the door, the storm seemed to pick up more but not as bad as it was, Sodain left closing the door easily despite the strong wind.

The Innkeeper nodded a bit smiling back getting some hot chocolate in a mug for Lita if she wanted some. "Oh of course. This is the city of Sartin. One of the 5 great cities. We do have some darker things going on around here. But I don't like those things much, We hold tournaments here at times in the great Colosseum though it's mostly used for lizard mount races, We have a vast port for trader ships to come and go. You can find just about everything at the port. Um lets see, Oh yes the city is ran by a mysterious person we only know as the Arclight. He has a strange staff in the shape of a dragon with an assortment of gems and crystals. We never seen him use it except for times he used it to bonk his apprentice on the head." The innkeeper said thinking of what all to say.

Sodain was outside and looking around seeing no one he turned into his dragon form briefly enough to pick up and toss the tree to the side, then back to his human form. Opening the doors the howling wind spooked some of the steeds. Walking around after closing the doors Sodain looked at each stall until he found the girl and Niados. "Well if it isn't mr ugly himself." Sodain said watching him.

Niados growled and rose a hand readying a spell that fizzled. "Now now mr. ugly. You don't want to hurt the one your trying to steal from us now do you? What would your master think if you hurt her?" Sodain said then with a flick of his wrist and a blur of speed Niados went flying into the wall and Sodain had the girl in his arms. Walking towards the doors. Getting her outside Sodain closed and put a spell on the door. Niados getting up from being stunned rushed the door hitting it and he got shocked. Sodain then entered the inn with the girl asleep in his arms.

the innkeeper thought for a moment. "I'm not sure is the Arclight takes general audiences. But I know he greets the winners of the races as well as contestants of tournaments. Though I have heard people talking about meeting the Arclight. Though I refer to the Arclight as a he, no one really knows the true gender, The Arclight wears a strange mask. and robes that don't show much signs of which gender, and the voice that is used sounds mechanical so its hard to tell by that."

Sodain seen the innkeepers wife and she took Roberta from him carrying her to her room. Sodain sat down next to Lita taking a cup of hot coco that was offered him. Listening as well.

Niados groaned. "Keep an eye on the girl. Sodain placed a shock pell, if I wasn't a dragon it have been fried crispy from touching it. The spell is probaly only going to last a few hours."

Niados nodded. "Alright. See you in a few hours."

Sodain listened as well. the Innkeeper spoke softly "Well you can always try to meet the Arclight. Though I am not sure how it will go."

Sodain nodded and smiled at the nudge. "Oh yes indeed very interesting. it sounds like a mystery and I do love mysteries." Sodain said this nodding still. Then the innkeepers wife came in speaking softly. "Your rooms are ready when ever you would like to rest." She said then went to check on Roberta. Finishing his hot coco Sodain retired to the room to check it out and set up protection around the girl in secret. Protection to keep shadows away from her.

Sodain did get a concerned look on his face. "Perhaps you sat wrong and pinched a nerve." He said trying to make it seem not as troubling. Sodain went to the room he was shown would be his and Lita's.

Once in the room he closed the door frowning. "I tried to place a light barrier in general around this in to cancel out the shadow powers, to keep them from escaping with Roberta. But..." He tried making a barrier around him it formed briefly then sparked shattering into energy particles. "My powers don't work, the only power that does work is my shape shifting abilities because it is not that much of a power like portals, or barriers. Something is canceling it out. I just hope it's the same for those shadows."

Sodain smiled softly. "I can protect us both." he said digging into a bag pulling out a few items that looked like jewelry He had one that held a pink gemstone in it handing it to Lita. "here this can do some of the same things your powers can, simulated with science I had been working on at request by the king and queen of Syna. The did not want another episode of us fighting in the null space. that one area no powers would work. I finally finished a few of them." Sodain said smiling. "course it can't summon crystals. But it can generate a energy field to shield, a minute at a time so far, and a field that can heal and have a chance to revive if someone hasn't been gone too long, like those shock pads doctors use."

Sodain placed one with a ruby on himself as well and moved his hand as a red barrier energy shot around him staying. "this is based on science to simulate our powers, so power blocking influences can't stop them." He smiled taking his shield down.
