Valik winced at her touch; it was unexpected. He looked at her with his large eyes as if asking what she was doing. But, he didn't stop her. He, too, wondered what she was looking at. Was it him?
Crystal was hurt by Selia's comment. It became obvious to her now she was disliked by her. Looking back at her, she noticed the tattoo representing the kingdom. She suddenly felt her fangs against her bottom lip. She turned forward and forced her fangs back to her sharp canines. She tightened her grip on Sebastian, and kissed his cheek longingly. Part of her did it just so Selia would see, and the other just simply wanted to kiss him.

Sebastian began singing a folk song from his village, barely to where Selia and those in the back could hear. His voice was surprisingly deep, but so alluring and attractive. Catching on, Crystal silently sang along, but not to where anybody but Sebastian could hear.

Valik raised an eyebrow at Selia but didn't step away. Boothe smirked. "Maybe because it's covered in dirt and blood." he said. He looked at Selia and winked. "Joking." he said awkwardly.

Boothe laughed. "Now that's nasty." he continued to chuckle. Once the laughter died down, he listened to Sebastian singing. "I haven't heard that boy sing in a long time." he said. He smiled lightly.
Valik could see the village from the hills they rode on. It was still untouched and thriving with elves that didn't seem to be worried. Valik smirked. They looked like ants from here.

Valik let out a whimper like laugh. He looked at Selia, his dark eyes shining at her. He turned forward again, observing Crystal and Sebastian.
"Wow," Boothe breathed out. "That's a beautiful village. And we're about an hour away." he smiled as they began going downhill. "You see that? It looks like it's glimmering." he pointed.
Crystal turned. "Because it is." she smiled. "This is the largest and richest village in the whole kingdom. I used to live here with my mother and brother. The sides of the streets are plated with gold, the businesses decorated with emerald shards." she smiled at the four of them. "It's so beautiful, I know you all will love it. We can sleep here tonight, I know a great place. It's a hotel." she offered.
Boothe tilted his head. "What's a hotel?" he asked, confused.
"Oh!" Crystal exclaimed. "It's a place that you can stay at for as many nights as you want practically. For a price, that is. But I'll get us the best room for free." she promised.
Boothe smiled, impressed. "Sounds good to me." he rubbed his belly, hoping for a buffet table, or even room.

Crystal smiled joyfully. "It's so amazing." she added to Selia's comment. "We can get new clothes and weapons there, and whatever else you will need."
"We don't have money on us." Boothe frowned.
Crystal shook her head. "No problem. Trust me." she smiled, then thought for a moment. "Actually, we don't even need a hotel. We can stay at my mother's palace. You will be able to meet my brother as well." she smiled, showing her white teeth. Then she turned back to Sebastian.
Valik widened his eyes. I forgot how insanely rich and important her family is. he rolled his eyes. Now they were only a few minutes away from the giant golden gate.

Crystal hopped off of Sebastian's horse and walked over to the guard at the right side of the gate. She spoke a strange tongue of elven to him, a language that not even Sebastian knew. When she walked back to the group, the gates opened silently. The walls that held the golden gates were made of a cream colored stone with gold and jade lining. Crystal let out a breath. "It's good to be home." she smiled as she hopped back on the horse with the help of Sebastian's hand. "Let's make our way to the palace." she said.
As they walked through the clean golden streets, Valik received dirty looks. "Great." he snarled. He snapped at a large man on the corner of the street. The man let out a scream and jumped back. Valik threw up his head and laughed. Boothe glared at his brother.
"Stop it, Valik," he scolded, "We're guests here. Act like it."
Sebastian chuckled. Many of the people stared at the group in awe. When seeing Crystal, they bowed to her, and the young men blew kisses. Crystal laughed, overjoyed.

Sebastian was overwhelmed by the cheering of the crowd. They cheered for Crystal's return; they were in fear of her death. It wouldn't be until later they'd notice her father was missing. Crystal turned to see how the others were doing, and caught Ryan in the crowd with a woman. She squinted her eyes to find a raging discovery. Her?! Why her? she screamed in her head.
Boothe, hearing Crystal's thoughts, turned. He saw the woman and Ryan and wondered who the strange woman was. He noticed that the streets were now covered with crowds of people, and elves and vampires still poured from buildings. He suddenly turned back to Crystal when hearing more thoughts of hers. Is she...jealous? he raised an eyebrow. Now this is juicy. he smirked.
Most gave Valik looks of disgust. Though one small girl walked to him and pet him, then placed a flower behind his ear that she once had in her hair. Suddenly the girl's mother came and dragged her away, though she was scared of Valik, and called him a beast. Valik frowned.
