Angilwingz Junimaia Angilwingz ...people have been trying to claim points for banners that they didn't make and ones that don't advertise the guild and worst of all, ones that they made spefiically for point earning...

...I think, if I can find a calculator, I will vito the banner points and invoke a limit. I wish we had one more opinion though, since KT isn't here...and Dragons isn't here often...we're all alone!

You know what, it was bothering me before it was even mentioned, and KT said she trusts me...and I will clearly label everything I do in case she freaks out and wants it reversed (which I doubt) so I'm going to do it.

I'm back!

I totally agree about the banner thing...
let's figure out some stronger rules for next term now...
I mean...
since I run around like a chicken with my head cut off in this guild,
I can't really join any classes...
so my only way of earning points is really banner making...

hmmm....
how about...
5 points for Guild-promoting banners
5 points for H.Monthly-promoting banners
2 points for house-promoting banners (these can be kept in each house's common room)
a limit of earning points for no more than 2 banners a week
banner must be made by you personally,
if I find out that people are claiming to make banners that they didn't make, then I'll ban them, no warnings, automatic banishment. I get around alot, making things for the H.Monthly, so I'll most likely find any banners stolen...
(I'm an english major, so plagerism[sp?] is a big issue with me),
banner must meet requirements that Gaia states in FAQ,
banner must advertise the guild in some way to earn points,
banner must MAKE SENSE!! if it's too confusing or if it doesn't even state an intelligable sentence/phrase, then it's not exactly going to bring in a bunch of new members, is it?
But making sense goes especially about promoting the kind of guild we have (for example; although we are a roleplaying guild, we don't exacly promote RPing with JK's creations, we tend to make our own. So "meet the trio at the Harry Potter Guild of Gaia" doesn't exactly make sense for our guild, but something like "where even the house elves have classes" makes more sense, and is more atractive to a possible guild applicant.
bah...
I rambled enough...
what do you think ?

Yes. But first I think we ought to redo the banner thread. Put up all the ligitimate banners in the first few posts, and make everything nice and tidy.

however my time is statleingly limited right now...
so I'm afraid I won't be able to make the thread...

What's so wrong with a mule angil?
I know you've gotta have at least one..
and this way I won't have to leave Hufflepuff,
and I won't have to worry about the crew not being able to get a hold of things...

and we'll never get them because she's not on Gaia any more...
some newbies can get pretty confused...
