(Puppies?!?! I luff puppies >W< What kind were they?)
Accepting defeat wasn't one of Kraye's best qualities. Actually, this time it made her go beserk. With a sudden rage, she ran to Deck, shoved him against the wall, and screamed at him, "WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING AT?!?! YOU HAVE IT TOO, DON'T YOU!" Her eyes locked onto his and she snarled. In and instant, her rage faded and she was back in control. (Geez, bi-polar much? xD)
Giving a 'hmph', Kraye swished her hair back and headed for pre-calc. While walking down the hall, she shouted, "Do it again, and I'll know it's you for sure."

"Holy ********!" he yelled as his hard chest collided into the lockers, he stared at her.
"Preppy and bi-polar!" he shouted and pushed away from the lockers. Frank laughed, "Dude! That chick creeps the surf outta me!"
Greg nodded and pushed at Frank's shoulder. Pen shook his head and walked beside Deck now, trying to hold in his laughter.

(OMG! whee I love labs >W<)
Flinging the door open, Kraye walked into her class. That whole ordeal had only lasted 7 minutes. The teacher looked at her with confusion, but Kraye ignored it. Today was NOT going to be a good day.
Kraye was a science person. Everything had a fact to it. Everything had to be proved. Now, that whole world was crumbling. Certain things just couldn't be explained- and that scared Kraye. Heck, Kraye was even scared of herself. Ever since that day two months ago, she had been starting to change. Actually, a lot was starting to change. All this supernatural events had started occuring around her. Things like earthquakes reported in impossible places, tornados in Arizona almost twice a week. And now rain in the middle of sunshine!
Revolving around these thoughts passed the time. The three minutes was up and the bell had rung. Now, it was lunchtime!

Deck was laughing with his friends as the walked into the cafeteria. They sat down with the 'goths' and immediatly jumped into their conversation. The rain stopped now, it was shining bright with sun now.
"I bet the Weather station is going crazy with this odd weather," said Dome, one of the goth guys.

(Really sorry, but I'm gonna go into Kraye's event a little bit, so it's kinda long xD)
Kraye sat with her usual friends. One was her great buddy since 5th grade, Mark. The other was Lilly, a friend she met 2 years ago. Though almost impossible, Kraye was usually pretty nice around them. She was polite and hardly made smart-a** comments. Well, she had her few sarcastic moments, but that was it. These people could turn her into a whole different person.
Except today. While Mark and Lilly chatted, Kraye just sat there, swishing her food around. No sarcastic remarks, no new exciting puzzles to solve, just a blank stare.
"Hey, what's wrong Kraye?" Lilly asked.
"Yeah, you're not acting yourself!" Mark chimed.
"Eh...it's nothing..." Kraye replied.
Unusual for her, Kraye didn't tell Mark or Lilly about what happened months ago.
Flaaaassshhhbaaaacckkk!
Kraye herself always walked home, while Mark and Lilly each got a ride. Each day, they went seperate directions.
But that day, Kraye's life changed. Walking home her usual route, she heard sirens approach and the screeching of tires. Cars were honking and screaming as a Chemilab truck ran by, followed by police. Chemilab was a popular company that created chemicals for medicine, weed sprayers, and other things.
As the truck rounded the corner, the wheels screeched and a nearby car spun the truck. As it spun, it neared a school wall and then BAAAAAM! It exploded- only about 5 feet away from Kraye. She was thrown into the air and landed about ten feet back on her back.
As Kraye struggled to stand back up, an disturbing odor surrounded the area. With heavy breathing, Kraye inhaled whatever was in the air, and it made her gag. Instantly her entire body became hot. Worst of all, her hands burned. Literally, they felt like they were on fire. Coughing and shaking, Kraye stood up and gathered her books. These seemed an extremely difficult task, as her vision was blurring and it was hard to keep her balance. With a final lug, she began stumbling home.
But she didn't make it far. Halfway to her apartment, the heat became unbearable. Falling to her knees, she coughed some more. It was horrible! She couldn't take it anymore- and neither could her body. With a few more heavy breaths, Kraye fell to the ground and passed out.
The next thing she knew, Kraye was in her room. The soft touch of her pillows told her she was in a bed. Her bed. She bolted upright- which was a bad move. Instantly her lungs heaved and the heat came rushing back. She had no choice but to lay back down.
With a slight creak, her door opened. "Finally awake, eh?"
It was her dad. He seemed worried but relieved at the same time.
"You hadn't come home for like, an hour. So I went out and looked for you and found you lying on the ground near Truts Ave. Man, the area was packed. Seemed there was a huge accident. Anyway, what happened to you? Did ya not eat all day or somethin'?" He asked with a chuckle.
Kraye opened her mouth, but no words could come out. Instead, her lungs burned at what felt like a thousand degrees. She coughed some more and stared at her dad.
"Not talkin', eh? I see, I see. Well, I guess you're staying home for a while. Don't worry, I'll take a few days off work and take care of ya."
With that, her dad left and Kraye was left to sleep.
Two days later, the symptoms were gone and Kraye felt good as knew. She still hadn't told her father what happened, and now she didn't plan to.
At school, Kraye was greeted by her friends.
"Hey, where were you?" Lilly asked.
"Yeah, what happened? you never miss school!" Mark shouted.
Lying, Kraye just told them the flu had come over her and she was incapable of going to school. Thankfully, her friends bought.
But now, she almost regretted not telling her friends. They couldn't understand what she was going through, and that made Kraye miserable.

The guys' group had moved onto another subject, not even bothered by the weather change.
"No way! That' so awesome!" exclaimed deck. Frank glanced at him, they both smirked. And all of a sudden, two boys were standing ontop of the table, "Woooohoooo! Trapnest is comin' to town!" they scremed and sat back down again. Trapnest was some famous rock band that grew up in this town. And they were playing at th next skate competition!

The annoying screams of the skaterboys took Kraye out of lala land and back into reality. Oh my god, he even jumped on the table. What an idiot. She rolled her eyes and heaved a sarcastic sigh- if that's possible. Now that she thought about it more, Kraye really hated these guys. There wasn't exactly a valid reason as to why, she just couldn't stand these type of people. Plus, Kraye felt rock music was horrible.
Finally, their little noise party just really started to bug her.
"Alright, that's it!" She shouted while stomping towards the hooligans.
"Hey, idiots. You mind keeping it down over here? Some people are actually trying to eat lunch with out so much disturbance."
Man, rock and roll fans are just as annoying as rock and roll!

"Awe, poor girl. I think we should quiet down for her," said deck in the sweetest voice, "Right?"
"I mean, this is a lunchroom. Everyone need to sit down, be queit and read a book." he laughed and sat back in his seat. The group went back to talking and then Deck's voice stuck out,
"I MEAN THIS IS A ******** LUNCHROOM! WE CAN BE AS LOUD AS WE LIKE! IF SOMEONE WANTS QUIET, GO TO THE LIBRARY!"
The officials didn't care if you cussed in the lunchroom. Here it was basically like, no fighting and you're ok. But, their attention was on the large group now.

At this, Kraye began to laugh. Yes, laugh. And it wasn't one of those "Ha you're so stupid," laughs, it was just flat out funny. This Deck guy was really amusing her- so much that it made her laugh out loud.
"Wow, I haven't seen such arrogance in years. Now that I think about it, it's a stupid, but extremely funny quality to have. Nice job, d**k. You just turned you're 'a*****e status' up a notch. But thanks. It's been a while since I laughed that hard."
Now Kraye was acting really strange. How? She was HAPPY. That didn't occur often, and her friends wore shocked faces when Kraye walked back to them with a big smile.

"Polly Preppy-pants," he muttered under his breath then yelled, "GREAT TO KNOW I PISS YOU OFF, b***h!"
He laughed, earning claps on the back fromt he group he was with. A few 'goth' girl walked up, a few going to sit in some of the guys' laps and the others to sit in chairs or on the actuall table.
One, known as Amanda Craw, sat in Deck's lap and immediatly joined the group's newest conversation. He kissed her cheek, making her giggle.
They had been together forever. But, some people could smell their break up coming. They spent less time together, got into arguements more, she got a bit more 'preppy' and he went from pure skater to a guy hanging into the 'goth' crowd a bit too much.
It was like magic. One day, they were in love and the next day... they sunddenly seemed different. it had been a week since then and less kisses were give and less attention payed to one another.
It was bound to happen anytime soon.

"What in the world is with you, Kraye?" Mark screamed.
Shrugging, she just sighed, sat down, and began chowing down her vanilla pudding. Both Mark and Lilly looked at each other and shook their heads.
"Ok, Kraye. We've been thinking for a while. We don't what happened or why, but ever since you got that flu, you've been acting kinda weird." At this, Lilly backed off a bit and waited for a reaction. When Kraye just sat, she continued, "Mark and I have talked about it for a while, and we feel you're not telling us something." With a big sigh, she took Kraye by the shoulders and looked her square in the eye, "Kraye, we are your best friends. We've shared everything with each other, so why are you holding secrets from us now? Just tell us. Whatever it is, we can handle it."
After staring Lilly in the eye for that entrancing moment, Kraye pushed her away and put her head down. Small driplets could be seen appearing on the concrete floor below her. "I can't...tell you. I-it's nothing. Sorry, guy-" Before even finishing her sentence, Kraye ran off to the far end of the school. Now the tears from her face were more frequent and almost inaduible sobs could be heard. Right now, she just had to get away. Passing by the hangout group around Deck, she payed no attention to them and continued running. After what seemed like ages, Kraye found a nice lonely spot where she could just cry. Kraye didn't seem to cry often, but when she did, it all came out.

Deck had a soft spot. And that was crying girls. He could never make one cry... and even if he hated the chick, he'd have to comfort her.
Deck bit his lip and hard. He told Amanda that he was gonna go somewhere and slid her off his lap with a gentle kiss. He sauntered off towards Kraye. When she picke dup speed, so did he.
He finally caught up to her and squated down infront of her. "Hey... don't cry. What's wrong?" he cooed, his face soft with slight care and annoyance.
He hated crying. hated it, hated it, hated it!

(I'MMMMM AAAALLLIIIVEEE! xD)
Kraye wiped her face and turned as a familiar voice rung in her ears. Surprised to see Deck, she jumped back with a slight, "Gah!" It was almost as if this was a new person. Deck spoke with a caring voice, and that totally rained down on Kraye's insult parade.
Now it was one thing to cry, but another to comforted. And that's what Kraye hated. She despised it when others felt sorry for their friends, and her cold heart ignored any emotion when it came to grief. She shook her head and stood up, acting as if nothing had happened.
"I'm fine," she replied coldly. Though it wasn't insticnt, something made her smile a bit and look Deck right in the eye, "But, umm, thanks I guess. Didn't think you had a soft spot." She began heading towards the hallways, seeing as the bell had now just rung. Turning her head slightly, she remarked to him, "Hey, it stopped raining."

Deck rose a brow, sighed, and gave in. If she wasn't going to spill to him... then that was her choice. Why tell this a*****e anyways?
He looked down, letting his dark hair spill over his eyes, "I don't like seeing a girl seriously hurt to the point where she's crying or ready to... do something drastic. I mean, when sarcastic comments are being thrown and then the girl looks hurt, that doesn't bother me. I'm too busy thinking of a comeback or laughing."
He smirked and lifted his head, his brown eyes soft for a moment. Then he remebered who he was talking to. "So, you believe me now? it would be best to do so." he smirked and stuffed his hands in his pocket. A small smile stayed perched on his lip. That girl was kind of... cute.
Deck sat back down at his seat and the girl from earlier, Amanda, she was glaring at one of the girls in the group. Amanda had always been territorial of her boyfriends.
