Movie actually. Basically Macbeth set in feudal Japan. Having read and enjoyed Macbeth, this is, by far the best play/movie, based on it I have ever seen. IMDB review

As if you needed more input to get you to see any Kurosawa movie, Throne of Blood was quite good.

But be sure to check out the Seven Samurai, one of the greatest movies ever made.
