Finding hooks with such varied and unregulated characters is harder than one might think. I've been checking in occasionally to see if anything's clicking for me but so far I've had no luck; I may just have to keep throwing characters at the wall to see what sticks.
Additionally, I've been somewhat preoccupied with an offsite board that I'm rather invested in, though currently I'm waiting on posts on that front so that's covered for the time being.

Hmmm, I think I'm confused as to what you're looking for. Aren't varied characters what provide the most opportunity for a vast array of possible interactions? And when you say 'unregulated characters', are you meaning to say that there aren't enough roleplay rules/restrictions? Or do you mean, like, you normally plan out character interactions through OOC communications instead of freewheeling it in-character? Is there anything we can do to help you get started, perhaps? I'm wondering how many others here might be struggling with the same dilemma regarding getting started. I know there is not much of a selection of perfect entrance opportunities currently because only two of us are actively roleplaying, but I'm sure things can only get more interesting with more people. Y'all try not to overthink the introduction too much (it need not be perfect); just focus on getting your characters in there somewhere, anywhere, and the fun (and hopefully more people joining in) will develop from there. Somebody will join in interaction with your character no matter~ but if you're worried you won't be noticed, quote everybody in your post kind of like I did in this post. Somebody will surely be eager to jump on the opportunity to engage with your character. Honestly, guys, I really need y'alls help to keep this guild from dying off like all the other Gaia roleplays of olde. This might be my last time ever roleplaying due to how difficult it is to find, build, and maintain active roleplays in this modern age where I suppose less and less people care for the whole creative writing thing. Also, life has been growing more busy for me every year lately, and I may soon go back to having no time to maintain high guild activity with the start of the spring college semester (I've got internship just around the corner). It literally took me years to find the time and will to start this one up after failing to find any active roleplays worth joining time and again. I hate to see it die so quickly, because there dies my hope for roleplay. Y'all gotta help me experience one more good roleplay adventure before I likely retire to focus exclusively on reality again and perhaps once and for all. emotion_bigheart

Just for the record, I'm currently without adequate acess to my PC since the HDD died. I'm waiting on the 15th of this month to replace it. Currently my only acess to gaia is via mobile, and good luck to anyone who wants to type a good two paragraph reply on the tiny Android keyboard. That aside, I'm eager to start and willing, I'll even have the time.

I don't mind feeding into some plots if anybody has something in particular in mind; know that I am obligated to play true to my characters' psychology however. Generally, though, I don't plan much out in advance when I roleplay. I like to be surprised by just seeing where things go. ^^ Mara's looking great though! I love the bio; very creative~ Excited to see her image as well as her strengths and weaknesses
